Exactly same way why India regulates bitcoin due to increasing transactions linked to illegal activities. Though fake news spread that India banned bitcoins but the real thing is they only regulates it.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency which has the ability to hide the identity of the sender and reciever that makes untraceable for every transactions. Which is a very big help for those criminals to hide their identity for any illegal transactions they do. So, it's all obvious that bitcoin can truly increased the criminality by just using it for making an untraceable transactions.

criminals and bitcoins can not be equated. bitcoin is used to work for a halal fortune, although there are some countries that do not approve of this bitcoin in the country, but it can not be equated with bitcoin the same as criminals. because I myself follow this bitcoin to seek my fortune in a lawful way. it may be that the bitcoin is a criminal is a bitcoin user who has failed to follow the way this dibitcoin works.

I do not believe bitcoin has resulted or has played a huge role in increasing criminality as people criminals or otherwise has always found ways and means to get transactions done . Infact bitcoins has been around for years and so for us to believe this absurd statement they must show us a trend commensurate with the creation of bitcoins and this increase in criminality. There is no doubt that bitcoins might be another avenue for someone to do a "criminal" transaction but so does every other means of exchange, but just like every other means of exchange the onus is on us to make sure we do our due diligence before we enter into transactions with some one . Bitcoins is the greatest creation and the sooner all of us embrace and accept this the sooner we can spend all this time  we are wasting creating unfair statements about the currencies into making this a better product.

because criminals can take advantage of the decentralize system of bitcoin, specially in money laundering, they can wash dirty money through bitcoin which is an easier process to go through, though bitcoins price is too volatile.

It's very unfair that people partner bitcoin with criminality because the physical cash has been used many times and not just for drugs and money laundering but worse than that. If crypto get much more regulated, I'm sure that these criminal activites going below minimal.

This is one of the reason why many people have negative perception to the bitcoin. Some people used the bitcoin in the bad way, some of them are selling and buying drugs by using bitcoin this one of the reason why the some of the government didn't accept the bitcoin.
Everyone has its own interpretation and outlook towards bitcoin. And this criminality that was coincided in bitcoin is the one reason why bitcoin isn't accepted in our society today and that is also because of the user of bitcoin too that they used it in a bad way. We don't know why did they do that because each and everyone has a freedom to used their earned bitcoin either it was in a good and in a bad way.

Several criminals this kind of as terrorism and illicit drugs, they started to use the anomaly characteristic of bitcoins to illegally and spreading them.

Everything has a good side and a bad side. It is a double-edged sword.

Bitcoin is a good place to pay for illegal goods and services, as well as money laundering. Mainly people who use bitcoin.

I do not think so.
At least in some countries, example Japan and Korea, the government accepted the cryptocurrency activity.
As long as the government can manage the activity of cryptocurrency exchanges, they can know all activity of crypto users in their country.
Beside that, they still have some technical expertise to track the criminal activity.

Criminal activities have existed already before bitcoin, don't blame the bitcoin because trade with bitcoin for illegal purposes of. I think it depends of the user's motives because without bitcoin criminal will always exist.

You can use a knife to slice a fruit or kill someone. You can't blame the knife!

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.
I don't think crime has much to do with bitcoin. If there is no bitcoin, crime still exists. Not all criminals use bitcoin. Only a small fraction of criminals use bitcoin. If there is no bitcoin, there may be something else instead of bitcoin.

Having bounced back at the end of last year, bitcoin has lost some of its fans who are now turning to other digital money.

Bitcoin, once used on the black market, is now beginning to be abandoned. Other virtual money monies such as monero are starting to become an option in the criminal world because they are able to avoid tracking. The bitcoin movement on the black market is beginning to be traced by security forces through special software. Thus, the use of bitcoin related to money laundering or other criminal acts can be detected and foiled.

Europol, the European Union (EU) security authority, reports there are some other virtual money like monero, ethereum, and Zcash are gaining in popularity. The currency is being used in ransomware attacks.

On December 18, 2017, hackers who attacked more than 190,000 Wordpress sites per hour asked monero as a ransom.

Monero's valuation jumped four-fold to US $ 349 in the period November-December 2017. Meanwhile, bitcoin grew twice in the same period.

Monero prices have risen 7% since the turn of the year. Monero, which appears in 2014, will encrypt the recipient address in blockchain and create a fake address to obscure the original sender's identity. The transaction value will also be obscured. This technique is so powerful that the software in charge of knowing the problem transactions now marks all high-risk monero transactions. The bitcoin transactions that allegedly problematic only 10%. What is done as a high risk is the action that turns the owner of the funds into anonymous. How to prove these funds do not come from illegal sources

There are many types of criminal. I agree with you there are not much criminal know how to use Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Bitcoin can be old with us and other large countries, but in my countries, just less than 100 people know how to use Bitcoin to scam and use it for private transaction Cheesy.

Because of bitcoin is not under to any government thingy then there are lots of criminalization happen in Bitcoin world. Some of the illegal things are happen in Deepweb and darkweb which it is a site that is hard to access.

i doubt it.
criminal activities were happening even before bitcoin. for example the ransomware that everyone is talking about these days have been around a very long time before bitcoin was created!

and besides since bitcoin doesn't offer real anonymity it can not really help the criminals as much as things like hard cash helps them.

Although bitcoin is not fully anonymous but criminal can use bitcoin without any trouble anymore. Now they are very easy to use bitcoin for criminal.
The problem is not from bitcoin because criminal has been exist long time ago before bitcoin was born.

every thing there is advantages and disadvantages . It's good and bad part is all depends up on user.If the user is using bitcoins for  criminal  activity that must be illegal ,it not in our hand and it's not our fault .  we can't control it also. There is no solution for this problem.Folks could not be ready to link a particular personal id to a Bitcoin transaction immediately (this is why occasionally Bitcoin is also known as pseudo anonymous), but if they uncover it, then they can see all the transactions you have completed on the Bitcoin community. This is why Bitcoin is the incorrect way if you use it for items that are not correct.

I think there's a effect between criminality and bitcoin. Like if you educate everyone with the concept of bitcoin, a large percentage maybe,  will be more careful in spending money as well investing and i think it may help lessen the thieves and anykind of criminality doings in terms of money. Bitcoin may be a great help and a great start for keeping up your financial needs and problems.  But i think dont still settle for bitcoin find something else for your earnings to keep your financial needs as well.

And the other side to those who use bitcoin as a criminal doing.  I think it is the individuals fault not the bitcoin itself.  It his/her moral anyway. It depends on the person on how he or she will use the bitcoin,  is it for good or  for bad terms.
