TH could you give us a an update on the the chip orders? Some others had said they got "pre-shipping" notifications from avalon

No update on our orders yet.

Well that sucks if orders presumably after your May order are getting updates...

One of the assembled K64s, that I am trying to get running. Individual K16s are working with less than 1% error rate. There is some issue with I2C (board to board) communication, that I am hoping to iron out by tonight.

What's connecting the boards together?  I see an orange, yellow and green(blue?) wire connecting the 2 lower boards along with lots of red and black power wires, but they aren't connected to the 2 upper boards unless you've hidden wires on the back of the PCB to tangle into the fans.
Probably working on getting it hashing with 2 boards...before 3/4 +, while you are online TH can you tell us if your chip order was updated?

Just had to come back... LMAO
Is that scotch tape?HuhHuh?

I think 2 weeks from chips delivery was very very overly optimistic...

and... what is up with the hosting service preorder idea?
Sell cloud hash without transference of the physical asset? Brilliant.

It's called KAPTON tape.  It is designed to take high temperatures, so you can use it to mask areas of the board during a wave soldering operation or whatever.  It is also useful for just holding stuff in place sometimes Wink

Oh snap

Where is Terrahash? They are not responding to emails, tickets, voice call (mail box still not setup).
They are obviously monitoring the forum though.

Let it be known that Terrahash has my chips today. So the two weeks clock starts now.
I need to know what size and spec of fan to buy but I can't find the info as terrahash is not responding to anything.

Looks like someone called TH's bluff.
Now we will see...

Timer removed. End time: 2013-09-13+24:00:00EDT
I will wait for feedback from hchc before making any conclusions.
Would you call that ready for production?
8 days and hchc is waiting... for how many K16?

Now TH announces a service for $6/GH in November.

In June a paid $2000 for a DX-Mini 18GHs (4x16K). That's $111,11/GH!

If a refund is not possible - every week is money lost - at least TH should accept convert my (our) order into their new service.

And because we all gave money in advance for their investment this should be the least they could do.

To be honest, i'm tired of all excuses.
When a company offers me a product they are responsible for what they are selling.
If the problems comes from their suppliers that's their problem. Ask responsability to them. It is not my fault.

That's how the commerce chain works.

Wow in one day TH lol.  First off they claim low HW rate.... but see how they dont show it?   Yea we have a low HW error rate...... yea....

They have failed at making HW, so they now are going host for another company?  Chances are your order money is being used for this deal, assuming it's not another announcement just to stall.

Well played Amir never saw your announcement coming saying you are going to buy other companies hardware and host it.   So does this mean TH is out of the HW making industry assuming they were ever in it?

As you can tell by the questions in here regarding the board most of the loudest people are morons when it comes to hardware.

That's exactly what I was going to point out also.  One of the biggest people here complaining and they think Kapton tape is scotch tape....

thx, yes I did, jumping through 'bank's hoops', sending me back to paypal.

I was one of the many silent watchers and supporters of TH.

They said 2 weeks after they get the chips.  They haven't received chips yet so what can you hold against them?  They are getting screwed worse than you so you should feel bad for them also.

You can ask for children to be reasonable, if in the off chance I'm wrong (Highly unlikely) then greed is blocking his judgement.

You can go through and look at all of the other groupbuys, some are not even giving 100%. If you want a refund from Terrahash they said they would give you 100% refund in 3 months or give you what you ordered and agreed to via ToS and a 20% off coupon that you can sell or use based on your previous purchase.

I think these people just like to hear themselves cry because there are ways out if you choose them, but as I said before his greed for mining money bitcoin mining is blocking his judgement at a rational decision based on his risk tolerance.

I'm not talking about a friends conversation.
You like it or not, this is a business deal. The risks i take i'm responsible for them. Period.

It's clear to me that a company sold me a product that they didn't know very well how to produce it. And the fact is that as published in a previous post they are having problems with the HW. Even if the chips were delivered how could they send my product in 2 weeks?

My risk was the investiment. By now something that was to be delivered in August it will be, with good faith, in October.

Greed is blocking my judgment, you say? How do commercial transactions work, can you explain me?

Let's say you go to a store and buy a Smartphone. If it doesn't work, to whom will you ask responsibility?
To the store? To the smartphone brand? To the factories of the components?
Is it so complicated to understand the chain?
Final costumer -> Store -> Company -> Factory...?

TH didn't have any problem to receive my payment, did they? And again, it seems that HW problems aren't solved yet, or are they?

Quote
a) If you want 100% refund, you need to give us 3 months time. We fully acknowledge that we are legally required to issue a refund when asked. Legal issues aside, we ourselves want to do the right thing to maintain our credibility. But the fact is we do not have enough liquidity right now to process all the refund requests. If you are willing to settle for a partial refund right now, please contact us and we can work something out.

Has anyone gotten a response to being in a queue for a refund or specifically, a response to settle for a partial refund?  I've reached out and haven't heard much just yet.  Tried to arrange an in person meeting, and with no response, dropped by a couple times to an empty office so no luck.

Still generally a supporter of TH, but likely because of my own biases of wanting more Bitcoin companies to start up in my backyard.  However, tired of checking all of the threads repeatedly hoping for movement.  If the settlement is fair, I'd prefer to just "wash my hands" of this and focus more on the important things... like Fantasy Football.  Grin

Be careful and do your Due Diligence , do they have on time delivery guarantee, money back guarantee, anytime  no question ask refund , do they accept credit cards or paypal and miner protection program. If they don't have the above, you may need to sued them, report to the necessary authorities to get your refund.
