Still holding strong. I've been in the DeepOnion airdrop since round 1. Never sold a single coin. I can see the huge potential DeepOnion has, and will never sell for anything less than 20 USD per coin. Why? Because that is the fair market price once we hit the big exchanges. Seeling at this price is ridicilous. Who wants to sell onion for a couple of thousand dollars ? That's just dumb.
Stay strong and hold on.
I'm doing the same thing, not planning on selling at all for at least a couple years at minimum. Price is incredibly low right now for such a strong team and coin. I expect things will start turning around after the bitcoin gold fork!

At least I'm not alone in looking forward to the next 1-2 years for DO. We shouldn't be short-sighted in terms of the price/value.
I also like how we grow every day and try to contribute or help all the time thinking in long terms. Maybe just giving answers to the newbies, but I understand that it's important for us to be successful. We are a community and for that reason we have to make a comfortable and active place. Most of my messages in the last few weeks are trying to help by removing doubts or giving advices. If anyone wants some onions, check my contest. https://deeponion.org/community/threads/contest-for-the-best-idea-30-onions-total-3-winners.4522/

I agree with you on both points. There's no way to tell how high the price can go, best to just hold as far as we are able. And once the BTCGold and Segwit2x is done with people will feel more at liberty to get back into alts, BTC will probably go down a bit in price, but the alts will rise. Personally I don't think Gold is going to play out the same way BTCC did, but that's what everyone is betting on, buying into BTC hoping to get paid twice. I'll just stick with DeepOnion and laugh at people making exchanges rich by throwing their money back and forth chasing a payout.

What do you mean? I mean you said you think, as in you're not sure. I was in the airdrop a month and a half ago, but I'm in a different campaign now. Didn't think they would accept anyone back.
I mean I've sent a support ticket about 1 week ago and have got a reply from xsin to continue contributing to deeponion and I do, and now I get another ticket reply from bykardinal to reconsideration to follow airdrop. I'm not not sure but I just think positive that I will follow the airdrop! Just trust the dev team! So did you get back in?

Criteria were much looser, sign up, post ten quality posts, if you would have tried months later, chances are would have been rejected. It's the difference between having all of those onions and having none.

My feedback regarding to Deepvault Wallet new release 1.3.1 is positive. With previous release I've struggelled to verify some small amount of files, however with release 1.3.1 it is working perfectly fine and much faster.
DeepVault feature is now far better than before.
Good news, I will upgrade my wallet also very soon then! Looking forward to start using the DeepVault options! Actually, I just do the update and frankly,it works very well. Not only the cheking process by DeePvault is very fast, but in addition it works perfectly. No more freeze problem.

Everyone should update their wallets even if it is not mandatory update. It gets better and better with every version, it is faster and supports more options. Just do a backup first, just in case if anything goes wrong. It will probably not, but you know how they say, devil never sleeps.

Dear crypto-rainbow, dear devs, dear community,
I know, it's a long way along the proposed roadmap, but I realized, that there is a note for 2018 Q2 stating "Supporting Smart contract". How can this be interpreted? Is DeepOnion going to implement smart contracts similar to ETH? Is this possible by an update/fork of the current system?
Furthermore, as DeepSend is going to use nodes, which will act as a mixer and guarantor and this feature can be turned on or off according to the first few information, my suggestions how to call these nodes is: DeepNodes. It's as obvious as simple and I like the ring.
Looking forward to your replies, kind regards, Halcyon D.

Till now, I have participated in a total of 6 airdrop rounds, and have received a total of 4,069 coins. And I haven't sold a single coin as of yet. My target is $100 per onion and I am going to wait until that target is achieved. You're even more optimistic than me. I'll wait for at least $ 20 per coin. And I think that price will be in this time next year Why wait for the $ 20 while all the people in the community, and those outside know that the onion will do better than its direct competitor, Monero. When you know that Monero is actually 93$, imagine how much the onion will, knowing that it is much more reliable and offers much more possibility. For me, sell the onion 20$ it's given I know that, also have lots of monero in past. But for that price need about two years. And I think to split sum and 1/3 sell on end of 2018, 1/3 end of 2019 end last 1/3 for 2020. Dont want to repeate errors from past. So i ment to start from 20$, not to sell all. My plans are quite different from yours. My starting point may be any price between $50 to $200 (I am 100% sure that Onion exchange rates will reach this mark within the next 1-2 years). Once the target is achieved, I will be selling a maximum of 10% of my coins every year. At least I'm not alone in looking forward to the next 1-2 years for DO. We shouldn't be short-sighted in terms of the price/value. I'm also in it for the long haul, unless something unfortunate happens i intend to hodl until all the great features are implemented. This time next year we should be well into double digits

Will do! My Raspberry Pi finally came, and I will set it up for ONION PoS and some web browsing... So this is a great time to update the wallet. Can't wait to leave my wallet staking for 24/7.

Can you explain what you use the Raspberry Pi for? How exactly do you you use it? Is it just a cheap version of a PC that you can store your wallets on and run them for staking?
