btc price day by day increase. i think it is a best cause for holding.

People are are holding their Bitcoin because they know that despite of the downscale on its value they are experiencing, they still believe that inflation will take place. It is still a long way for Bitcoin. In just a short period of time, way back last year, there is a huge increase on its value. In short, they are just waiting for it to rise again, which is not impossible.

It has been proven that over time, the price of Bitcoin tends to go up. Even though it is a "critical situation" (based from you), people are still holding Bitcoin because they are holding it for a long term. So regardless if Bitcoin crash on the following days, people are just gonna hold them and would wait for the price to recover and achieve new all-time high.

you need to look at the bigger picture.
right now you are just looking at a short period of time where bitcoin price has came down a little. if you look at a couple of months you can see a rise from ~$880 to $2900 and right now it is sitting between $2200-$2400.

even if it falls more it will still be much much higher than the couple of months ago.

I certainly agree to that, many thinks that holding bitcoin will help to get rich in the future because they know that the price of bitcoin will increase rapidly increase in the future. Am just hoping that after August 1 the price will begin to rise again, we have had an awful June and July is not turning out that well, the price is still plummeting,  am afraid that bitcoins will be irredeemable before the segwit is implemented,  people have already lost their investment already.

A lot of people can see the bigger picture. Bitcoin is still virtually unknown to many people globally. Go around a bit and ask people if they know

what Bitcoin is and see what responses you get. People in first world countries will know a bit more about it, but most people in third world

countries will have no clue. What happens when these people learn about Bitcoin and what will happen if Bitcoin can scale to handle global

adoption? There is still massive potential and growth... and the price will skyrocket when that happens. 

This is the kind of future that I can see for Bitcoin... despite the price fluctuations it has right now, I can still feel that the its price will get a lot higher in the future. Just by assessing how massive the price hike it experienced the past years, I feel like its going to continue in the upcoming years. Slowly, its getting even more popular so there will be more users..

I believe people are not just holding bitcoin but are also buying more at this price. A global crisis is surely going for crypto currency world and majority of the crypto currency pricing are going down. However, positive people are buying in bulk and making good use of this pricing.

I am also doing the same and I regret that I am not able to buy more because my financial condition is pretty tight now. I wish to buy more because I believe in bitcoin and I also believe the price will surely go up after August 1st and will reach a new height.
