What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?
In earlier times,chinese investors had an upper hand over the bitcoin market since they had largest volume of bitcoins with them.It was mainly possible since they had majority of bitcoin mining farms in china.They used to dump their large volume of bitcoins at once and tried to manipulate bitcoin price.As a result of this huge dump,price began to fall quickly which made newbies panic and they just sold their bitcoins immediately at lower prices and chinese big whales bought those coins at cheaper price.This was a regular strategy and it is even used by big whales nowadays.But now,most of investors are well aware that bitcoin is ever growing in price despite critical conditions and they believe that its price would definitely increase despite huge price dips and so they just want to hold their bitcoins with them instead of selling. |

People are holding Btc because of its increasing value it is one of the best assets for holding long time. The value was under 1000$ in 2016 and now it is 4000$ in 2017 it is like investment without any risk. And as there is a lot of option in alt coin for trading where the market ups and down frequently so maximum people trade with alt coin saving their most valuable assets -bitcoin.

Because bitcoin is the future of the world's payment system, and I'm sure there will soon be many countries that authorize bitcoin as their payment system.
Is tfat a reason for holding? Well for me I'm holding in order to make huge profits when the prices climbs up high and I'm satisfied with my returns. |

The answer is simple as that,bitcoin is growing a lot and it will keep on growing a lot with the time.I think it as a good investement which can make my money grow with the time.
moreover, bitcoin also provides a good system for the people and help them to hide their identity from the world ourside. Besides, if you know how to use bitcoin, you will never lose your property because of the high security in the blockchain  |

Saving bitcoins for future is the right thing to do if you really do not have a good excuse to spend it. You are right that it’s worth 4k dollars at the present and the prices will be touching the sky in near future. Holding on to your bitcoins and superior to invest in it will certainly aid in future. |

people are still holding bitcoins as they believe the price's would go up like now it is $4K and it is expected to go on increasing more and more
once they would think that this is the time , they had made enough profit they sell it , these people use bitcoins as investment
or they would simply use BTC the buy other digital currencies that has the potential to give enough profit to them , so they hold them like they did for bitcoins
people who hold bitcoins have trust on BTC that it would keep on increasing its value ,
A lot of people are holding bitcoin because they want to get higher profit because we all can see that the price of the bitcoin is increasing with time so they knows that if they will hold their bitcoin they will get huge profit and a lot of new feathers are being a part of the bitcoin and we can see bitcoin is being volatile and it will make the price more enormous so it could be the reason behind holding their bitcoin. |

Exactly.We keep on holding our earned bitcoins today hoping to reap much more profit in the next months and years.And it's really very interesting today because the market price is rising rapidly until it reaches $10k in the future.Who knows i can build my dream house just on holding my bitcoin for a longer time. Holding is the best thing to do as it involves less risk of loosing money and we have seen that price has gone higher over the years so if we hold our bitcoins for next 5 to 10 years then it can give us massive profits on our investments. That's right, Holding bitcoin or altcoin is always a good way of methods for us to get a big rewards in the near future. I wonder how much is bitcoin from 5 to 10 years from now if bitcoin at the present was 4300$, it can be that bitcoin is 500,000$ cheers!  |

But people keep bitcoins, they just blow bubbles. It seems to me that if things remain as is we will see no rise in prices but rather a fall. Money generate revenue only when they turn in the economy. I feel sorry for those who think that bitcoin will grow forever.
Bitcoin will not grow forever since the money in the world and the productive capabilities of people have limits but if we compare the price of bitcoin with its projected price if an important amount of the people of the world use it then there is no doubt that bitcoin has a lot of room to grow. |

because selling at any time results in orders of magnitude loss several years later.
its hard to trade orders of magnitude profit over that time.
eg sell under $1, jumps over $1 forever, buy back in at $100, because you were waiting for it to drop under $1 again.
how can you trade that?
sell under 10K, jumps to 15K, never goes below 10K, you wait and have to buy back in at 50K or 100K.
how do you trade that....?
and that is the history of BTC.

That is the only reason why we holding our bitcoin, for the future, since we all know that the price is going to be really high in the near future, we could even be rich in an instant because of it, that is why no matter what happens, I'm just holding my bitcoin on my wallet and keep on saving it. I'm always joining signature campaign so that I could earn bitcoin weekly or even monthly at least I know that I could get something. |

The reason they keep hold of Bitcoin because that they know Bitcoin has a very good future and they know when is the right time to sell. holding Bitcoin safer and is the very small risk.

For future purposes. There’s a possibility that the value of bitcoin will get higher when time passes by based on the changes or progress of bitcoin prices now. Bitcoin still booming after many years so it is not impossible that it has good future. And also the possibility of gaining more money because of the increase in the value of bitcoin is higher.

Bitcoin is a currency which is made by Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin is unique than any currency in this world because this coin is worthy, its price will really increase and I think that is the reason why people holding bitcoins to earn. |

I don't know the reason for the poll because I don't understand the choices but I still voted for "when and how". Lol! As for your question why people are holding bitcoin is maybe because they are hoping that its value will increase more in the future and they feel that they will earn more profit from it if they will keep on holding thwir Bitcoin for a few more years.
