Why people are holding Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a great technology . As you have mentioned, masses are attracted by its decentralized and anonymity . This is the most intelligent thing to do for trading Altcoin . They know very well that it's a ever increasing coin . So, they remain cool and they just want to hold it in their wallets to sell in future at higher prices .

People may hold bitcoin for bitcoin has a great, and bitcoin also has a lot in use as a tool payment in some restaurant, the supermarket etc, it will facilitate those who use bitcoin and there are also people who use bitcoin as investment long-term

The rate of bitcoin is the main reason behing why people are holding Bitcoin. Three months back the rate of bitcoin is compare with today it surprises everyone. We all expected that bitcoin will create a milestone price tag of 15000 USD end of 2017 and it will be gift for 2018 to start with a bang now the target has been increased to 20000 USD so people believe that this task will be achieved very shortly and from that they can benefitted.

I also ask this to my friend who is a long time member of this forum . He says that bitcoin is in the stage where his value is pumping and increasingly rapidly . So they hold it until they become satisfied in the value and trade to a potential tokens.

I know that now is not a critial situation anymore, but rather a euphoric so its kinda obvious why people hold: because they expect a capital gain from Bitcoin.

But let me tell you my reason. I've been through a lot of "critical" situations like that. From 2014 year long bear market, numerous hard fork attempts, etc. It's simple, because I believe in Bitcoin. Not just believe as in believing that the price will keep rising, that is just a secondary reason, but believe that Bitcoin is the future of the world's economy. I'm impressed how the Bitcoin is born, made by an anonymous genius that no one can't track until now, and how the development going until now.

Peoples are holding bitcoin  due to speculation, they believe market value of bitcoin will appreciate continuously, so they hold btc due to economic gain, without consider the risk involved. BTC futures are getting listed in two of the major American exchanges, despite a lot of negative propaganda by the bankers such as Jamie Dimon. And next year, NASDAQ is going to list Bitcoin futures sometime in the second quarter. The number of users are increasing like crazy, and the media coverage is more or less positive.

People don't even know how much and will it dump in a certain time, so how can you say that they will be selling it if it reaches the highest price peak? The price of bitcoin changes so fast so it don't really stays in a certain price so the users are having a hard time if they will be selling it or continue on holding it. I think most of the whales are thinking that it might pump more so they are still holding and the other people are just holding it for a certain reason to be used in the future.

With the prediction of some top businessmen in the world that bitcoin might rise up to $45k next year, it is very wise to hold bitcoin as long as you can to profit big when you are ready to harvest what you sow in bitcoin.

Well everyone is making different assumption and it is new thinking of people that bitcoin will be high and it will grow very fast, it is surely going to increase in price and high price of bitcoin will help all people. It is not right time for bitcoin to get invested but later on bitcoin will become famous and people who are waiting for the price to increase will sell bitcoin at very high price.

Reason seems pretty clear. no? People who still holds their bitcoins think that will increase even more and they will make more profit. This is the biggest dilemma of trading. Where to take profit and how much profit to take where.

For the obvious reason of course. People are holding on to their Bitcoin even if the prices now are currently going down because if the price falls then surely it'll rise too. If you could look at Bitcoins price 4-5 years ago, the value of Bitcoin was low too but it got back up and skyrocketed at that time. So if ever the hard fork will happen and Bitcoin will split into two as what people are saying then it would be an advantage to those Bitcoin holders.

Not only in grwoing of bitcoin because they seeing the real potential of it once bitcoin become real in our economy it will be easy as 123 to use bitcoin physicaly which we can easly use them into store and other bills payments and make our life easier things to do. Most of the investors , businessman are choosing bitcoin not because they want too but they believed into it that theres a money for bitcoin.
