People are holding bitcoin for a long time bases because they are
expecting a definite profit out of it with in certain period. Now the bitcoin
prices are increasing day by day.Ultimately more people are getting confident to invest in bitcoin and hence the market demand is increasing and the prices are also increasing.The wise investors are usually will be holding bitcoin to encash for their expected market price.

For me bitcoin is a money and i think that money has to work, so to keep bitcoin is not reasonable, however to invest them in ICOs is also risk.and there is one more reason why people keep bitcoin- its bitcoin vaalue forecast in the future.
For me, holding bitcoin is reasonable. Its increases its price so there are lot of people holding bitcoin because by holding it, theie bitcoin will also increase and they are also thinking the value of bitcoin in the future because if we hold today and when time comes that bitcoin will increase huge amount like $10000. That is for sure we can all gain profit by holding it. That is the reason why they are holding bitcoin because they want to increase the value of their holdings and because of that they are earning more and more money by just holding and waiting for the price to go up. Holding is the simplest and easiest way to make money in bitcoin because you don't need to do anything unlike trading and other source of income because the foundation in holding is patience. Well in my opinion the reason of holding bitcoin is to wait for a right time because normally people are buying bitcoins during low price and then they are waiting for the right time when the price go high the they sell out all the bitcoins and get a very good profit and I think it’s a very good way to get a profit through investment I also doing the same thing. Yes that is the best way to play with your coins buy low and sell high without holding it longer as you never know when price can crash so holding too long is also risky as bitcoin is unpredictable and anything can happen to its price so whenever you are making good profits from it its best to sell them off at right time to earn higher profits. |

thats very simple, for getting more money, they watting till bitcoin will get unreal price, by my opinion bitcoin already has big price but it will be grow more, people just waiting to get more profit.

People are holding their bitcoins to make higher profits in future as now everyone is sure that price of bitcoins will be much higher in coming months so they have a hope to make best profits on their investments and that is the reason they are not selling their coins at this stage as they are expecting much higher profits.

People are not foolish they are too intelligent for holding Bitcoins as they might looking to sell when the price goes high for around $10k.
I am looking to sell when the price reaches more than $7500, but everyday the population increasing in blockchain and people are investing daily.
Peoples are holding Bitcoin because is better than any other currency or gold or any other asset. As the price of Bitcoin is growing so rapidly that how more Bitcoin you hold that better profit you will gained from it when the value of Bitcoin reach to a peak point. People’s interest in this crypto currency showing that at last Bitcoin will become the world’s no.1 currency. |

Holding is the simplest and easiest way to make money in bitcoin because you don't need to do anything unlike trading and other source of income because the foundation in holding is patience. Well in my opinion the reason of holding bitcoin is to wait for a right time because normally people are buying bitcoins during low price and then they are waiting for the right time when the price go high the they sell out all the bitcoins and get a very good profit and I think it’s a very good way to get a profit through investment I also doing the same thing. For me, the reason why people holding bitcoin is that they are strongly believe that this could help them for future investment or in other words they give their full trust on it. Lot of advantages to mention why people holding it and I guess people in this forum never hold it if it is not good. |

Because people know that bitcoin's value keeps soaring high and they are all speculating that it can reach more than $10k or $100k in the future. Everything that is happening to bitcoin is so fast. It was only $900 on the first quarter of the year but look where btc's price now.

What I think of is the reason why people are holding their bitcoin its because as we all know that as of the moment the price is going up however there's a risk of holding it since there's a possibility that there would be a drastic decrease of it's value if something will happen (ex. china banned ICO's). Well the good thing about bitcoin is that it is consistently on the top of "food chain" (bitcoin is the origin) so even though the value will go down still the value is high.

People are holding their bitcoins because they tend to believe that it is one of the esiest way to earnbitcoins in a faster way. As we all know, bitcoins' price is really high right now and it is a good chance for users to invest their bitcoins to have good profits. |

because the result we get from bitcoin is obvious from the task we do. of bitcoin we can also invest. and we also get a lot of extra money, than the other work. so people hold bitcoin because they get a lot of money.

In my opinion, there are here main different types.
1. speculation - hope bitcoin price will keep going up and make good profit.
2. trader – take advantage of the volatility of bitcoin price and try to gain from it, it is of high risk.
3. true believer – believe that bitcoin has bright future.

People tend to hold their bitcoin to wait for the best high rate. They want to earn at a high rate. They earn it hardly so they want a higher return of it. Some may have already a lot of bitcoin so they're holding on the amount that they don't need to exchange yet. Investment will always be needing a good timing to sell. Time will always play a big role in investing bitcoin. So people need to be patient also of the up and down movement of it. |

I don't thi k it's fair for the OP to be asking this question because it's clearly obvious that we are all holding for bigger profits and bitcoin has been found to do just that if you are a little patient and can hold it in your wallet for a year or more.

because they want to profit more from bitcoin, to achieve it they have to hold bitcoin and invest in it. the wrong sign if you think this critical condition will survive, for example its currently bitcoin price is so high, and will rise further in the future. |

Bitcoin is the growing currency that’s why people want to keep this currency because may be I the future its prices will go up and from this they will trade these currencies. If they are holding for no reason then there is no reason to hold because you need to have a goal or target for your investment in order to have discipline and clear vision in the future. Bitcoin is an investment and because of their speculation they are thinking and believing that bitcoin will reach to a very high price and that is why they are holding bitcoin. |
