I think people hold their bitcoin because they are wait the time to the higher price exchange or value of bitcoin. This is also a business. We can compare bitcoin in palay or rice and gold. Some farmers hold their rice or palay stocks when the supply is higher than demand. Then they will sell it when demand is greater that supply to sell it in high price. Aslo in terms of gold,many rich people or businessman are buying gold or jewelry when price is low and keep it until it has a good market price,every moment gold may upgade the price. Like in bitcoin you dont have to encash when it has a lower value wait time to have a high exchange rate. Be practical.

someone holds Bitcoin because they know Bitcoin will crawl up much higher than it is now. therefore they prefer to hold Bitcoin.
From the most part of my experience with Bitcoin and this forum I think that most people use Bitcoin as a profiting tool rather than use it as what is it made of. What I mean about that is people as of right now are taking advantage of the volatility of Bitcoin, and it is wiser to be that way because using it as a currency might hurt you when Bitcoin's value decrease. When you browse the topics here in the forum you will find topics mostly related to its price and its future compared to finding topics related to using it as a currency. |

I agree with you that the price of Bitcoin is slowly rising. Bitcoin provides concrete proof not just wishful thinking. the person who bought Bitcoin a month ago and held it up until now has benefited from selling it now. Bitcoin is no longer a long-term investment in the short run anyway holding Bitcoin can make a profit. maybe that is the reason why people hold Bitcoin. |

The answer is obvious - because they expect that the price will rise and in dollar terms they will earn money. Perhaps they believe in bitcoin, that it will become worldwide currency in future
+ Now the market excites the topic of gold bitcoin, so people will invest even more in bitcoin. There are suggestions that this will lower the cost of alternative coins

Because it will grow more and more ... today few people (more than 99.9 %) in the world know what is BItcoin and altcoins ... when more people buy crypto it will grow more ... we are just at the beginning of this adventure of crypto . like internet in the 90' s

I think people are holding bitcoin because they are waiting for the value of it to increase to the value that will satisfy they want. Waiting to increase its value will give you more earning which is good for us people, because we need lots of money to survive in this world, and thats because of bitcoin. they have the good reason, they are being wise to earn more money. |

and it's been proven today. bitcoin is past the current $ 5000, this is a good sign it seems. people are increasingly believing in bitcoin progress. And maybe after the second hardfork in november later, bitcoin price can reach $ 6000. |

This is a good question, many people think that bitcoin holding is the best way to get profit, I do not think, holding bitcoin are at risk because whenever prices can go down.
everything is right, but it's better to sell at a suitable price without having to wait long .. the right time and the right price, but it all depends what is in need .. if need not to sell it, because I think the price is stable, and not bad for meet the needs of the economy .. the choice is in yourself and his needs, smart in making the decision is good .. |

folks holding the bitcoin i feel bitcoin is very good expense for the future because i blelieve bitcoin following the split concern several bitcoin holder are panic but now right after the issue the bitcoin even now in robust as decentralized currencies in altcoin cryptocurrencies, so nothing worry to holding the bitcoin as potential investment.

Why do you hold or have bitcoins..??
The answer might be because it is proffitable ... because it is the future.. because it has high value... small fees ... easy to earn...
Now why would I not hold despites its advantages.. huh??
That is my reason why Im in to bitcoin and why I am holding it

Actually people hold bitcoin to save it, i think or maybe this is not the right time to spend bitcoin or convert bitcoin but i think the reason why they hold bitcoin because there is a chance to make bitcoin high if we notice now the bitcoin currency is so high than before, right. so that this is the main reason why they hold bitcoin to make it high. |

because it wants its value to grow and continue to grow. as is the case today. look at bitcoin prices pretty crazy and very expensive to buy. so it is best to keep it and sell when the price is very large. |

value will have a big effect when many people hold back. and the market is experiencing considerable demand. that's why many of us hold bitcoins until their value becomes huge. |

People holding bitcoin because the price of the bitcoin in long term period of time might increase by 2-3 times of the value. If the bitcoin goes down there are still be chance that the bitcoin increase the value.

For me I hold bitcoin because I can predict when the exact time to sell the bitcoin, I hold and wait the right time to sell it because the value of the bitcoin sometimes goes increase and decrease.

You have to be used to a volatile asset to hold it. Over the long run, the price will increase and the volatility will drop. Check any asset (commodity, stock or currency) when it was really young.. .that was the same story until it matured and its market cap grew. Same is the case with bitcoin.
