If Bitmain's hash power is redirected from BTC to BCH, what happens to the BTC chain? Is this enough to stall the chain? When is the difficulty retargeting?

Sounds like you don't understand a whole lot about bitcoin.

Haha. Why don't you point me to what exactly you think I misunderstand then. Or are you incapable of more than muttering platitudes?

Quote
What's your comment on your your savior's meltdown @ Roger Ver the other day?

WTF is this 'savior' shit?

Quote

'Meltdown'? Doesn't look like a meltdown to me. Looks like a warning. Given the hash power SV has been bringing on line, it seems it may have been the most useful info Roger could have gotten from CSW. Sure, it's phrased harshly. Whatevs. What do you want - useful information, or a scrumptious candy coating?

Quote
Satoshi displayed no signs of ever being such a tremendous cunt, which is all CSW ever was.

Relevance?

Quote
So long Bcash. It was nice making fun of you.

Just the next stage of growth. He who laughs last, and all that shit.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

SV is 75% hashpower. Do you think is it manipulation or true power?

Explain how hash power can be 'manipulated'?

If bch is eaten by sv

False premise. SV is a legitimate contender for BCH identity. ABC does not get a free pass.

Or do you not understand permissionless markets?

Looks like ABC's benevolent dictator for life is preparing to take his ball and go home:

Writing on Twitter, Bitcoin ABC lead developer and self-described Bitcoin Cash “benevolent dictator” Amaury Séchet said that activating an emergency fork to alter the Bitcoin Cash hashing algorithm would be a “nuclear option” but that developers should keep it on the table in case their version of Bitcoin Cash (BCHSV) suffers an attack from miners backing Bitcoin SV (BCHSV), the BCH version promoted by Craig Wright and billionaire Calvin Ayre.

https://www.ccn.com/nuclear-option-abc-dev-wont-rule-out-changing-bitcoin-cash-pow-algorithm/

Sad really. While I have a soft preference for SV, I'd prefer it win through simple market forces. Not through ABC's abandonment of the principles and heritage of satoshi's bitcoin.

Poorly-written article, true. Most would see the intent as "in case their version of Bitcoin Cash (BCHABC) suffers an attack from miners backing Bitcoin SV (BCHSV), the BCH version promoted by Craig Wright and billionaire Calvin Ayre."

Good catch - I read right over it myself.

I remember when BCH first came to life and some folks claimed that some sort of "flippening" will happen, BTC would be dethroned etc. Just the thought of this nonsense still makes me giggle. Now watch what is happening to it. Gotta love that comedy. I love crypto for keeping me high-spirited like this.

Nchain/Coingeek has partnered with squire which has a partnership with Samsung. They will be rolling out the most state of the art asics, once ABC and opposing factions on BCH are forced off the network, they plan on producing asics designed to mine every POW algorithm. They will begin with the alts, destroying their networks and selling any coins mined for BCH. From there they will move to BTC. Forgive me if my technical verbiage is wrong because I dont know much about this but I read somewhere that the original satoshi opcodes will be enabled during the upgrade, and using those opcodes CSW will be claiming the satoshi bitcoins. I dont think this is a bluff, just look at cash.coin.dance

They have the least amount of nodes but the most hash rate. All the reading and research I've done is telling me this is not a bluff. I truly believe we will see the end of all alts in the near future, and the flippening of BTC to BCH after.

PoW Miners can't mine coins not based on PoW.
Meaning any PoS consensus or alternative consensus Altcoins,  is literally out of their reach.  Smiley

They Can however kill Ethereum PoW coin , and in doing so Wipe out every Eth Token in 1 fell swoop.

the plot thickens:

Jihan is reported to have said a few hours ago regarding the BCH fork, "I have no intention to start a hash war with CSW, because if I do (by relocating hash power from btc mining to bch mining), btc price will dump below yearly support; it may even breach $5000. But since CSW is relentless, I am all in to fight till death!"

I read somewhere that the original satoshi opcodes will be enabled during the upgrade,

Yes.

Quote
and using those opcodes CSW will be claiming the satoshi bitcoins.

No. If CSW claims the satoshi bitcoins, it would be only because he has owned them since years. The re-enabled original opcodes make no difference to any ability to do so.

Quote
I dont think this is a bluff, just look at cash.coin.dance

As observed above, CSW has always been able to pull enough hash out of his back pocket to advance his goals. Don't know how he is able to do so, but it is certainly provocative. Agree - this does not seem to be a bluff.

Quote
They have the least amount of nodes but the most hash rate.

Well, we already know that counting on nodes to drive nakamoto consensus is akin to bringing a knife to a gun fight. At last we shall see this principle demonstrated.

Quote

Isn't it exciting?

In many countries aren't PoS coins/ICO's considered illegal securities? As time progresses I feel that there will be an increased crackdown on them and exchanges selling them. Or, there is the possibility that if and when the market explodes again people will want to experiment with shitcoins for quick pump and dumps
