Adding more exhaust capacity to get that hot air out is very important. 90F is not too hot for the hardware to be safe running 24/7 as long as you can exhaust that hot air out of there and keep the GPU temperatures safe. How hot are your GPUs running when it's 90 F in the room?

Hi Guys,
I have a weird question. I know this has been talked over the tread but it is little different. Here is my setup.
I have about 50 rigs in a warehouse. I am having excessive heat problem right now. Ambient temperature is ~90F in the room if I put all the rigs up.
There is a 5 ton Industrial type AC system at the top. Also, 1 exhaust motor on the wall which sucks the heated air.
I am not sure what solution I should go. I've talked HVAC guy and he suggested a load calculation for the room (2000SF). When I do math, it goes 12 ton AC unit required for this project.
I am wondering that adding exhaust fan makes any difference on top of the current setup? Please advise.
AC is a waste of electricity unless you have free power, your exhuast fans need to be ABOVE your rigs not in at the same level and you also need to make sure your room is somewhat presurerized you can tell this by when you open the doors you feel the suction of the exhaust fans pulling heat up. I have 30 rigs in my garage with only 1 of six exhasut fans going and my temps are like 30 degreees in winter, fall with three fans going like 60

Im still confused as to why you order a 1070ti over a vega 56, 2000 cryptonigh 150watt 520 equihash (not tested power usage) and 40 eth 140 watt. at $399 and its the jack of all trades
the only issue i have with it is u need so many power connectors and drivers are anoying to install
either way ive been buying two or three a week, best mining card hands down,
are the 1070tis that power efficeint as to ignore all these facts?
1070 ti pulls around 450 sol/s equihash (using EWBF in my testing, 500 using DTMF per Voskcoin's testing video that borrowed my settings) at 106 watts for almost identical price to the Vega 56. I ignore them on Monero, as they make a LOT more on ZEC/ZCL/ZEN and such like most NVidia cards do. RX 470/480/570/580s routinely pull 26-30 MHash on ETH at HALF THE PRICE of a Vega 56 at current pricing, and the pricing on the 470/570/480/580 should continue to DROP over time as demand keeps easing. Vega 56 is pretty much a one-trick pony on Monero at this time for cost and efficient cryptocoin mining, based on the info I've seen. Only reason I like mine is that it's not doing "cryptocoin mining" as such, it's doing Distributed.Net RC5-72 work via the Moo Wrapper project on BOINC, and for DNet work the Vega 56 is bloody close to GTX 1080 ti performance for a lot lower cost and similar power draw. Also, that $399 price on Vega seems to have been a very short term sale price - it's back up to $460 ballpark again. I like cards that can do multuple things well though, my farms not that big so I like the flexibility. Rx cards are really only good at Eth so I am not buying any more of those unless prices drop to sub 230 for 8GB cards The 1070Tis are crap at eth, I dont see how the 56 is a one trick pony when it hits high hash rates on pretty much every algo it is used on , sorry but you are not making sense lol. not sure where you get your info from but Vegas are still ~ 400 pretty much every where still https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814932001Only nvidai cards i like really is the 1070 still but i bought my 50 1070s at around $350 which is the cards true price not the 440 the good ones sell at. The 1070 is 10% slower than the 1070Ti and you can find them pretty much at around the same price. Bottom lime in my opinion Nvidia prices are broken even more than the RX cards the 1070 shold be around $360 the 1070Ti should be around 400-420 dont get me started on the 1080Ti , all that being said the Vega 56 with a 64 vega bios for ~400 is the best bang per buck by a long shot , It can mine anything at high rates and with decent power tuning uses only around 150 -160 watts

What really sweetens the deal is when you get $25 deposited in your paypal for spending $350+ at newegg. Been buying 1 Vega every few days at $399. You just have to signup on retailmenot with the same paypal email address you use for newegg. https://www.retailmenot.com/view/newegg.com?c=9293714

To maximize it I just buy 1 GPU every few days and have a bunch of $25 deposits from retailmenot in paypal.

semantics..... lol. But yes; exhaust at high in the ceiling as possible, and more is better. Just keep adequate inlet CFM as well, and away from the discharge zone.... ideally, in from one side/bottom of room, out the opposite ceiling; and a few fans to keep the rest of the air in the room turbulent. AC usually doubles or more the electric cost. Its a pretty astronomical number.

https://bitcoingold.org/bitcoin-gold-launch/Hello miners and users! We’re thrilled to announce a start date to the community: November 12, 2017 – 7:00 PM (19:00 UTC)At this point, we will provide the Bitcoin Gold full node client download on our website. The BTG blockchain will officially be live, with blocks mined openly by users and pools from all around the world. I am testing a strategy to put all my rigs pointed to Nicehash Equihash (for the first few weeks) because of -- - possibility of higher premium for miners/non-miners buying additional hash to quickly mine BTG because of low difficulty - a lot of pools are getting ready for BTG and it may take awhile to see which pools are stable and cheapest to mine

@citronick and @philipma1957 , Where can I get these 6pin male to 6pin male PCI power connectors. Right now I am working with only 2 such connectors from my very old power supply.

Do I need to complete the purchase on newegg using Paypal, or just do it the way I normally do (credit card)? I don't see an option to switch to paypal is a payment option, hence the question. My newegg and paypal email addresses already matches. Thanks!

I don't think this will be a high flier unless the price goes up substantially.

Ethereum has 104 Th Nethash... that's 3.5 million GPU's @ 30Mh/s. So it would be the same revenue as BTG if BTG attracts 1/18th the GPU's, i.e., 200,000 GPU's.

If I were to build another rig using the 6-slot Onda D1800 and filling them with Vega 56's, it'd still set me back over $4000 (Thanks to UK prices and VAT...). That's (assuming today's mining profitability) about 7 months to breakeven. 2.5 months if all my rigs work together towards that goal. Conclusion: Still undecided.
