If the device's asics are fpga's and programmed differently at B it will just never work...

On the control board there is a micro usb connector. I am sure is used to flash the controller onboard.

If we had the possibility to extract the firmware from a Giant B and flash it on an X10 board, I am sure will work

You would think they would use it for that.. but no, you have to take the Pi off the controller, remove the sd card and flash.  The usb is evidently not used.  It's just built into the Pi, as is a network adapter complete with antenna

Sometimes, I also try to solo mine some new coins, when difficulty is low: unfortunately, I wasn't able to mine directly my own wallet using X10, so I had to install a little pool.

Linux or Windows?                                                                                                                                                                      ^^^^^^^^^^^

Currently, the working one is linux (ubuntu).
I also installed a windows server, but it shows wrong hashrate values and offers less algos, so I am not using it.

I was on Starpool the last 24 hours. I'm pretty happy with the outcome of 0.3 LTC. My miner had shares for all algos but X11. This is my password line:

c=LTC,quark=1,qubit=1,myr-gr=1,skein=0.5

I tried also single coin mining with nice profit on ALQO. I collected LIZ, LPA, ARGO and CURVE....lets see if I can sell them for a nice price.

All in all Starpool did a nice job for me.

Starpool.

Need your advise. My hashrate dropped down from 50 to around 10GH/s. What might cause such a decrease?

Thanks

0.29364095 LTC to be more precise Smiley

Yes really! 24 hours on starpool. I will stay for some more days...

BTW: I have a lot of algo switches. Mining on skein also (dont forget the "=0.5" for skein). At the moment its on qubit.

Ok trying

stratum+tcp://all.starpool.biz
and in password c=LTC,quark=1,qubit=1,myr-gr=1,skein=0.5

But question is in X10 setting what algo do i choose because we must choose a algo!

Advise please, thank you.

You have to create a line (entry for a pool) for each Algo.

Like this:

stratum+tcp://skein.starpool.biz:4933
stratum+tcp://myr-gr.starpool.biz:5433
stratum+tcp://qubit.starpool.biz:4733
stratum+tcp://quark.starpool.biz:4033

Password for all lines:

c=YOUR_PAYOUT_COIN,quark=1,qubit=1,myr-gr=1,skein=0.5

Payout in Litecoin (lower transaction fees) would be:

c=LTC,quark=1,qubit=1,myr-gr=1,skein=0.5

if you want to include power consumption also, change the numbers a bit to prefer myr-gr and skein.

c=LTC,quark=1,qubit=1,myr-gr=1.1,skein=0.6

Found out and researched by myself, without any guarantee Wink

Thanks very much for sharing this and congrats .3LTC  is like $63 USD. DO  you know if I am able to transfer to a coinbase LTC wallet? Also for priority I just set them in order ie 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.. I found i had issues if all algo's were set to 0 priority

The Algo switching works like this:

You tell the pool, with password options, which algos you want. For your miner only 1 line in your pool list will be reachable. You should have no other pools than starpool in your list.

Lets say skein is the most profitable algo, then all other algos wont be reachable by your miner. So its mining on skein.
If skein is not the most profitable anymore, but quark, then the pool will not be reachable for skein anymore. But now its reachable at quark algo. So your miner switch to the next line in your pool list. Is the next line not quark but myr-gr, it will not be reachable also. Next line in your pool list is quark... and its reachable. So miner is working on quark now.

Quark not most profitable algo anymore: Pool will not answer for your quark line anymore. Miner switch to your next line. Is it correct algo, pool will answer and provide data. If its not correct Algo, pool wont answer and miner jumps to next pool line.

I hope I am right with this... Any other opinions? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I just tried but its just mining Qubit and showing 'dead' status for other algos, is it normal?

All good!

The others are "dead" because the pool wants you to mine on Qubit. If Qubit isnt the most profitable Algo anymore, Qubit will be "dead" and miner is switching to the next "undead".

Awesomeminer + Baikal X10? Possible?
