I don't know what you are talking about with the cloak and dagger stuff and I don't know why they haven't responded. Frankly I don't care. Either we get our coins or we don't. You people all want a decentralised system with no government interference but when something goes off the rails you all cry for the government agencies to come and rescue you. I have a substantial amount with cm but am not worried one iota. The more you hassle them the longer it's going to take. We are either going to get our coins or not. Whining won't do anything buy delay it further and bringing in outsider assistance will assure us of no coins period.
Fuck off edgelord. Financial freedom doesn't mean no police, courts or prisons. Or no consequences for theft. This isn't about politics, it's about a dodgy exchange. If you don't care go away. It will happen again. We are pretty much fucked and in no position to dictate our terms to these people, whoever they are. Sending complaints and reports to whoever won't get us our coins back, and CM knows it. Wooo back the truck up there taco cause I wouldn't be so sure about that. In fact the opposite is true. They had to make payments to their host, registrar, and cloudflare and maybe other places. Those payments are traceable by court order just like ips are traceable. A court order can also reveal ip addresses from anyplace they've had an account like twitter, facebook, bitcointalk, and the list goes on. A 20$ investment from a thousand members in this community and we got 'em. $20k would be enough to hire a lawyer and private investigator to track them down and serve some real legal justice so our bargaining position is pretty damn AWESOME if ask me. With the right community effort we can have every one of 'em behind bars getting buttrubbed nightly by there favorite cellmate. But I'm not interested in getting all that crap started, and others agree, after all we were all CM fans at one point. But what I am interested in (and other members too) is someone from CM coming here and talking to us directly. Not this incognito newbie BS they keep playing with us b/c all that's doing is pissing people off. All it takes is one good detective to connect a single dot then the domino's fall in place and the butthurt starts. If they paid in btc then maybe a past transaction can connect there true identity. If they sent an email then maybe that revealed the senders true IP. Get the real IP from an email and you've got 'em. They can be tracked down it just takes some cash, a good detective, and an aggressive lawyer going before a judge. They are not as anonymous as they think.  They would be well advised to come in here and have a little chat with us... |

This post is so sad, we are all very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Just try and take comfort in knowing your friend is in a better place. I'm not a lawyer so please don't take what I'm saying as legal advice. But this sounds like it could turn into a wrongful death case. I'm thinking the family might be able to go after the host, registrar, DNS provider and the ISP that supplied the bandwidth to the host. Pin these companies against the wall with a wrongful death lawsuit and they'd be eager to cough up the identity of the people behind CM. But like I said, I'm not a lawyer and what I'm saying shouldn't be taken as legal advice. But maybe a real lawyer reading this thread will be kind enough to chime in and give you some advice on the matter. Right now as a group we don't have any plans to seek legal action against CM, but if they don't open back up or start a line of communication with the community that could change real fast. |
