If this prick wont even reply to us on here by now, then hes Fucked us.

Need to start fucking back.

Look at the post made by "coinsmarkets" back in September when the site down (in this same thread).

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2185903.msg22189626#msg22189626

"We should be back in 12-16h , all team is working updating the db with manual users withdraw while we were down ,
So we are updating DB manually ."

So supposedly CoinsMarkets has a team, but not one person can spare less than an hour to make a post here or some other public statement? Not buying it at all.

I'm still not convinced. If CM is legit then there is absolutely no reason to avoid logging in here and posting an update... and plenty of good reasons why you want to post an update here (or elsewhere).

password recovery still doesnt work ...

I think its time to say goodbye ...

Luckily all the coins I had was just from airdrop and not my investings ...

I think they're gone. The ~"Due to users complaining to host we are now moving" message that was on there before. What does that remind you of? It reminds me of that fat kid who you asked for some candy when you were younger and they said no, you said f*** you and they said "I was about to give you some but I changed my mind" lol.

They've bolted with the cash. Get used to it.

Haaaa! omg where do you people come up with such imagery?? =DEAD LMAO!

Yeah its bad not updating here only reason can be:
- they got hacked and are negotiating with hacker or redoing missing funds
- exit scam

I still say we're being robbed. Let's look at a few of the basic facts:

1) Hasn't logged in since the 4th -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=978044
2) Has not updated coinsmarketschats bot in http://coinsmarketschat.chatango.com/
3)Refuses to provide any update through anything other than banner of his own website.

I'm thinking that he knows that in order to buy time for whatever he's planning he has to make some sort of periodic update (hence the updates to his banner), however he also doesn't want to leave his footprint anywhere else so he'll be harder to track down later -> hence his refusal to provide updates anywhere outside of the coinsmarkets.com banner.

This was post he made in September when the site went down before: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2185903.msg22189626#msg22189626

We should be back in 12-16h , all team is working updating the db with manual users withdraw while we were down ,
So we are updating DB manually .

If there is a team at Coinsmarkets (hence at least two people) how has one person from the team not been able to take at most an hour to make some sort of update here on the forum or on some other public channel (that is not coinsmarkets.com)? There is no legitimate reason for it. When the exchange was down in September, coinsmarkets posted several updates on here during the down time. There's no reason not do so this time.

My guess is that he is 100% avoiding any kind of contact/updates aside from the infrequent banner updates on www.coinsmarkets.com because he wants to limit his footprints as much as possible.

If it was because they were hacked or there was an internal theft/fight that wouldn't explain them deliberately avoiding using any website besides coinsmarkets.com. It looks like an exit scam.

You guys realize that this whole "Buying time for his exit scam" is just absurd, right?

You can simply plug everything off if the plan is to steal people's money. You can write a code that would transfer all balances from different wallets to a single wallet. And if their plan was to do that, why do it while the website is under maintenance? Why not wait until there's more coins in their website? There's no need to let his digital footprints linger. Look at coingather. All they had to do was plug everything off. The owner still hasn't been caught to this day(?).

What would be the reason as to why he refuses to provide updates anywhere else besides the coinsmarkets.com banner? And even those updates are infrequent, vague and only 1-2 sentences. This behavior is also very different from the September outage during which coinsmarkets made semi-regular updates on this forum.

Why would he not log into bitcointalk at all or update the chatango bot?

I probably won't be able to come up with an excuse either if I fucked up the database. It'd do more harm than good if I eventually decide to return.

What are they supposed to say? "Sorry guys, one of our developers messed up the database and now we're trying to fix it manually and we seriously have no idea what we're doing at the moment, but we're getting there somehow"?

The lack of communication isn't good, I agree. But it isn't enough reason to conclude that CM is doing an exit scam.

Again, if you use this reasoning versus the reasoning behind why CM isn't a scam, it isn't enough.

I have litecoins still in the same wallet. Nothing moved.

You have to consider that they have a website that could potentially make them millions more in the coming days as soon as it gets back up. There's just no rational reason why they would decide to be fugitives and run away with some money from people of different backgrounds(maybe some from the dark web), when they can do it legally with a clean conscience. This is very possible because they saw how much volume they got if they took in the right coins.

Sometimes times people who commit theft don't have the best foresight. Plenty of times people have stolen things where it wasn't worth the risk and they easily could have earned the money legitimately to buy what they wanted.
