Actually, I don't know what to answer because in some aspects, it may be possible to consider as gambling. However, there's a big thought in my mind that says it is not. Maybe because I was currently doing and enjoying it. But to think that you were earning it through online  in many ways and cnsidered as Digital currency nowadays, I still can not relate it to gambling because we were working hard to earn it. And admit it or not, it really requires great patience and hardwork. Although many people thinks that since most of us were not using our own money from our pocket and instead used other strategy on how to earn it. I still consider it as legal kind of work.

I think somehow it is the same with gambling in terms of you buy your bitcoins like chips using your money and place a bet like investing hoping you hit the jackpot with uncontrollable factors in the market which somehow relies on your luck also.

This will depend a lot on how you define gambling. If betting is defined as staking some thing of worth for the chance of successful more, then bitcoin can be considered betting. Nevertheless, so can several things. Bitcoin obviously has a likelihood distribution, and no one can say that there is no risk included. So for many people bitcoin might be a betting device. For others it might be a determined risk. This is not the intended use of bitcoin, but it is a side effect of their fast increase in worth.

I do not think the same way .It is not gambling at all even if a person prefers the short term investment and do not hold the Bitcoins in his hand for longer periods of time .Only harm in investing Bitcoins early is that chances of winning and losing are equal therefore people confuse between gambling and Bitcoin because gambling is also about instant activities resulting in either a complete loss or desirable profit without putting much effort.

I will also disagree if someone call bitcoin as gambling because we all know that bitcoin is a virtual currency or an electronics money, so the word alone money is not a gambling, but rather it is true that it is an instrument of gambling just like any other real money because bitcoin is a money.
and the value fluctuations of bitcoins is cannot be considered as gambling because that is the reality of every other currency. So therefore it is a decision making of every individual if they will take risk to invest bitcoin or they are willing to gamble the situation of rising and falling of bitcoin value.

gambling and trading are two different activities ... gambling is an activity of drawing fate! Saying that investing bitcoin  and gambling are two similar things is highly debatable. Investing requires time, patience and whole background information about the investment while gambling lies only on the probability of winning. Both have risks but investment has lower risks than of the gambling.

Well, as for me, I still stand firm with my belief that Bitcoin is a form of gambling because it involves taking risks and thereby winning and losing comes natural as it is an ordinary effect of investing in it. My supposition is based on the meaning of the word "gambling" in the general sense.

Nonetheless, others find it necessary to defend that Bitcoin is not gambling.. But this, I suppose, is because they look at gambling in a strict sense in that it involves an activity that engages in betting a commodity with the huge risk of losing all the money you put into it. Well, you can look at it that way.

Bitcoin is a currency.  You cant say money is gambling itself.  But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin,  now it is gambling.  Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days,  but you know it might also drop.  There is still win or lose in it,  so basically its still gambling.  The process is gambling,  not bitcoin itself.

Be careful !!! There is a huge difference between gambling and investing. It is true that there is risks in the both of them but it is not the same.
In gambling it is pure luck, for example in a football game or something like that you should have luck to win. But investing needs a full concentration and you should make some studies to invest your money.
