I think that bitcoin is gambling because you never know when the value might drop and if it happens you will not be happy. But ofcourse bitcoin will go up again in value because i have seen it do that several times but still investing into bitcoin takes a huge amount of patience and luck.

It's an investment but a risk; you could lose your money in it. There's not much difference to gambling.

When you said investment then you must understand the risk never ever sell when you are at loss investment needs patience and trust bitcoin is risky for those who doesn't care of studying first before placing their money, but for those who did their homework bitcoin is one of the best profitable investment in the long run.

Maybe they thought its a gambling because once you invested on it, its either you earn or loss some money. But literally bitcoin is not a gambling. Its an e-currency that can be change to real money or you can use it directly to the merchant that accepting bitcoin. I think You should introduced bitcoin to them more clearly so this accisation would be lessen.

actually it is gambling because it is very unpredictable and you just want profit from it so i would say it is gambling and i believe it can go even bigger than that also i do not know for sure if it is gambling but trading is gambling that is sure for me.

True, it is clearly stated that Bitcoin is a peer to peer currency developed under cryptography where in order to have it they need to mine it by solving blocks.  Those who think that Bitcoin is gambling certainly never do their homework of researching it.  Or misunderstood the high volatility as gamble since price changes from time to time and the huge spike and dip  might also made them think that jumping to Bitcoin train is like a gamble.  But I myself think it is not since the risk can be managed and even nullified if they know what they are doing.
