Bitcoin is a digital currency that we all know, and we can use it to buy goods online and if we want to buy something that we can see outside we just only convert our bitcoin to our local money, but we can say that it is a gambling when we use it to gamble or a good Or white gambling when we hold our bitcoin and wait for the increase amount until our bitcoin earn more profit.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

BITCOIN is not gambling only to those some people who are not really know the significant of it. Some people use bitcoin for illegal transaction but does not mean bitcoin is gambling. They over used the power of bitcoin in order for them to do greefy things and do illegal things. Bitcoin is still money it depends on us on how we use it.

Partly agreed. I think gambling here is implying to risk majority of your portfolio by selling-buying or buying-selling to make money. This is same for any kind of trading including forex, stock exchange, options. If you risk more than 5-10 percent of your capital, you will not survive in long run. so you better manage your risks.

Yes,Bitcoin is not a gamble but Bitcoin is a virtual currency,so if people think that Bitcoin is a gamble,it depends on their perceptions.
Indeed with Bitcoin we can gamble, but not because of Bitcoin, but due to the desire of the owner of Bitcoin itself.

It's not "gambling" per se since you can make educated buying and selling decisions based on information. But, there's still quite a bit of luck involved.

Yes your definitely right that bitcoin is not gambling, even there are some gambling sites uses bitcoin to play. You still cannot consider bitcoin as gambling because there are still many ways to earn money in bitcoin without playing gambling like investing, trading, mining and posting here in this forum.

Bitcoin is only gambling in terms of its risk but overall it is not a total gamble because when you invest or put some money in bitcoin then you can expect some gains in the future and that is why bitcoin is a good option for our money to be putted or to be invested. Bitcoin has a great future and its price also so putting money in bitcoin is not a gambling for me but an investment.

Those who compare bitcoins to gambling are just not acquainted with the subject matter. Without prior knowledge, they say it's a pyramid scheme similar to Ponzi, gambling or a scam.

Sometimes I think it is gambling because it drops or rise so quickly, but sometimes I think bitcoin is a kind of currency,it can be investm not gambling .so i am confused too
It doesn't mean that bitcoin is a gambling when its price fall becasue it normal having bitcoin fluctuation. But it is not bad to look at bitcoin as a part of gambling becasue we don't know when it would develop. We just only know how it would develop.

Some people see bitcoin as gambling because that's the only way they know or see how it works. Most of the people doesn't know how bitcoin works and they don't know how it can really benefits us and how important is it in to our future. Bitcoin is a currency that is just like pay-pal or any other money but its online, you can buy stuffs, invest, and gamble with it. It's not mandatory to gambling with bitcoin its your choice if you want to gamble or not. Most of the time people invest on bitcoin so they can earn more and some people just takes the risks or they just really rich to gamble and waste some bitcoin but that's their bitcoin. So I hope people don't mix this up and always think that bitcoin is not gambling.

I think people are saying it's gambling in the sense that the currency fluctuates a lot, and you cannot more or less reliably predict the trend. Other than that, it doesn't have anything at all to do with gambling, it just another currency and another form of investing.

I agree with your words. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrecny as well as gambling is not a currency. It's true we investing both of but it's doesn't mean it's similar to bitcoin. Those two things are different.

The people who invest in anything which are new to the  market are taking a big gamble as it could fail big time and in a sense it is a gamble to put money in an investment which is not backed by any fair market rules and regulations,no doubt it is a crypto currency and so is the reason it is a big gamble, people has made a healthy profit investing in it,but its another story.

Most of the people state bitcoin is like gambling because ones when you enter trading business, its like a theory of gambling wherein you may lose or win such an instance you invest alt coins and at the end of the day your alt-coins fluctuates going down. this means you was'nt find profit then you lose.
Yes its true bitcoin is not gambling because gambling is not a good habit you can make money here fast but it’s also a fact that you can lose as well and bitcoin is totally different then gambling here you can make only money with different source and you cannot lose your money only profit can you get from bitcoin so bitcoin is better than gambling.

Investing in anything without brain, strategy and cut loss position, they are the gambler in anything and Bitcoin is also the place for those people play gambling. Why do I call they are playing game? Because they are putting their money for a gamble high risk while they do not know it is risky. They only want to make money without any loss and this is the advantage for other traders earn profits from them.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, but I think people who have actually no idea about bitcoin refer to it as GAMBLING because they might see MOST bitcoin users use their bitcoin in gambling. Gambling sites became popular since the bitcoin and other altcoins were created. And we can't blame those people referring to bitcoin as gambling because that was also my first impression about bitcoin when I first heard about it.

Another thing which make people refer to BITCOIN as GAMBLE is the concept that when you invest your money in bitcoin/cryptocurrency trading, there's no guarantee that you'll earn a lot (this applies even in other businesses). You don't know what happens next.

Gambling, in its broad sense means betting something valuable to be able to be given a chance to acquire some more valuable things. That is the essential meaning of gamble. When you risk your life for something worth having, you are actually gambling your life. The same is true with Bitcoin investment. Although we are already weighing the possibilities, and so many factors involved in this investment, we are not 100% certain that when we wake up the following day, Bitcoin is still alive and with high value. We might wake up one day and see Bitcoin turn to $10 overnight. That is still a possibility we all should acknowledge.

yes I agree with you.
I've heard some say that bitcoin trading is gambling.

Gambling and trading are two different activities.

Gambling is an activity of drawing fate! For example .. take a dice, select a number and then hope the number will appear, throw his a dice ... the decision-making process is complete when the dice is thrown, the end result we never know and can not control it.

Then what about trading? Trading is a decision-making activity involving many aspects ranging from market research and analysis, financial management and risk management to psychology management to recognizing market psychology as well as the ability to control oneself.

from that simple example, it is clear that bitcoin trading etc ... is not gambling.

Betting on the rise of a cryptocurrency can be called "gambling", the importante is calculating the odds and bitcoin is a pretty decent spot.
