Unlike the all other "privacy" coins. the main anoncoin community members and developers are anonymous and primarily active in the deepweb. |

Nice. I wonder why GroundRod developed this "new" retargeting system when it's not going to be used in the future? "Although Anoncoin will soon no longer be using this as its primary difficulty retarget system, a great many other coins will be, and their developers could benefit from this release. I welcome you to the upgrade path it presents, just drop me a thanks to groundrod@anoncoin.net and let me know it worked for you too." Still, nice work - I went through the code, as a informatics student for one year I can't tell much, but it's great seeing some work. It makes at least me feel better about the future of the Coin - I it's also important for others once they get the message. Keeping up work and showing it to public grows a community, that's what I always believed. |

The only pools with a lot of miners seems to be private and/or multipools. Otherwise, you can only mine anoncoin with a Scrypt Asic right now. Forget about GPU mining with a rig, it is a loss of money (unless you have free electricity). Solo mining is certainly possible, but it takes time to find a block. Scrypt asic > 100 MHs can solo mine without problem. https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Mining_poolsP2Pool is prefered. We recommand to host one's own P2pool. Otherwise K1773R's and Xpool's P2pool server are available. you can point your miners to stratum+tcp://k1773r.darkgamex.ch:8851/ or setup your own p2pool and anoncoind (use I2P for anoncoind, if possible). use the p2pool version hosted in my github account. select the anoncoin network.
setting up your own p2pool is the prefered way.

Wow, groundrod is really doing a lot of work. I, for one would like to donate to him, he has already written enough code to deserve some compensation. Does anyone has his or some other adress where I can send some ANC to groundrod?

Someone was hyping ANC to me big time back with the Zerocoin stuff, none of it real, all BS. I won't buy in again until there is new code and a good reason. I think it has a good name though, and sort of a first mover advantage. The coin had a first mover advantage in 2013. Development delays are normal in crypto but this has gone on too long... Lack of ANC github activity has caused me to lose hope of any Zerocoin implementation. CryptoNote exists, the future is now. #XMR #BBR Tweeted to 1000+ followers not only firstmover advantage, also the best name But this coin needs more promotion. Newbies just fall into the Darkcoin Instamoine scam, because Dash spams with promotion. |

Luckily Anoncoin has still a lot of coins left to be mined :-) In the end I believe - only if the github commits keep on flowing in, it draws attention. There is nothing better for a new investor or enthusiast to see that work is being done on the code. But still - don't be too euphoric - who knows, we might not see another push to github for months O.o idk. |

what i saw on the exchanges is that the majority of volume which keeps ANC in the Top100 list comes from China ANC/CNY. http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/coins/show/ancSo i dont understand why BTER did not openend a ANC Market since their are from China too. That would be great since BTER is the second largest multicoin exchange after Cryptsy. |
