How can CEX take a daily fee if by Dec 15th all IXC accounts will be shut down and removed?  This is getting confusing.

Bingo!  Nowhere.  Zero liquidity.  This plus reduced security should drop the price hard in the coming weeks.

My guess is Cryptopia will pick it up but I wouldn't trust them.

Thought I would point out a few facts and my opinion on some things.

facts

ix difficulty is still very high

comparing ppc difficulty to ix /btc/nmc ect. is not an easy comparison since although ppc has 10 minute block times and is sha2 , proof of stake blocks account for a majority of the blocks solved on the network.
last month ppc was 'attacked' and only proof of stake blocks were generated for some time. I believe a fix has been deployed but there is a difficulty for proof of stake separate from proof of work, a proof of stake block if the network is functioning normally will take priority over proof of work, so remember that whatever ppc difficulty is that is not the same as an sha2 coin, w/ 10 minute blocks where ALL blocks are proof of work.......

there are still many active nodes on the ix network, almost all are running the last release by 'Thomas' based on 3.x bitcoin although some are running 8.x , i rarely see a peer running the 9.x software.

opinions

the future of ix seems uncertain although for different reasons this has been the case for several years

normally for most alt coins i would not be concerned if there was no active or solvent exchange since you  an always obtain the coins by mining, since ix is mined out if there are no active exchanges it will be difficult for anyone to aquire ix if they wanted to

whoever asked 'what happens if those currently mining ix just "shut off" , I suspect the blockchain will remain at the last block for a long time when /if this happens like this....i.e. you won't be able to send/receive coins

re mention of 51% attack , ect.... when all or almost all the hash power running a blockchain is controled by just one or two sources as is the case with ix for a long time those mining could control the chain at will with ease, since this has not happened to my knowledge (I am not aware of any double spends of ix ect...) I believe although ix mining in the past several months and even now while far from decentralized has been run without any ill intent /

finally I believe ix to be valuable if for nothing else to the future development of bitcoin code and technology since it is 'mined out'.  If it lives it could provide an important medium for tests/experiments now and in the future to assist with the continued development of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

I have been withdrawing coins from Cryptsy regularly without problems, albeit I have not tried to withdraw BiTCoins nor IXCoins as I am putting those onto the order-books with no intention of withdrawing any yet.

I have not really seen anything convincing yet about Cryptsy dying, I had heard they were going through a process of getting themselves legitimate?

They have a chance of pulling thru.  A guy with a massive mining farm has too much to lose if Cryptsy goes under.  That's the only hope I see.  This guy is too legit to let this happen.

Despite Ghash.io stopped mining ixcoin, difficulty has kept rising again, now going above 1 billion. iXcoin must have a few angels investing in mining.

Well it's easier to copy than create your own, and most Cryptsy users won't be using the new exchange so who will notice.  I wonder if their support tickets go to Cryptsy too?  Lol.

Hey it's just great to have another exchange.  I only see trades going back a week, so it's just getting started.  It's good to be back in the Asian market.  I just hope it lasts longer than the ixco.in exchange.

What's in 2 months?  This coin has been dismissed as dead and irrelevant for 4 years now and every time, IXC pulls out somehow.  It may die this time but I wouldn't bet against IXC.
