if you are using bitcoin-qt, click file, sign message. on top one put bitcoin address, middle part put description from eligius (My Eligius - 2013-11-24 20:09:11 UTC - Minimum_Payout_BTC=0.1 NMC_Address=blahblah), hit sign message and copy/paste the signature from bitcoin-qt to eligius.

LukeJr, how do you feel about NMC? Guessing you're ok with them given their eligius' compatibility.

Namecoin is bitcoin technology applied to an entirely different concept (domain names instead of currency).

Looked around a bit and couldn't find anything on this.

Does the '--request-diff' flag not work with the Pool?

What if i have hardware failure and i'm not able to reach 0.167 btc anymore, is there any way to get paid? In the current exchange rate it's still quite some money.

Change your mininum payment to something below your current balance.  It's been discussed multiple times before, and it's pretty obvious.

It's actually not obvious. And searching or anything else besides posting a basic post on this forum is archaic at best.  Also, info is spread out among hundreds of pages, I still don't get why thread starters on this site don't update the OP with important info.

Is there any reporting for the NMC side of things in the pool? So far everything has been strong and stable using btc on eligius, but I can't figure out how to see what is going on with the merged mining side. Does it all just happen in the background?
Thanks for a great pool!

It's actually not obvious.

It's common sense.  If you're unable to reach a movable goal by going forward, you move the goal to somewhere behind you.  Goal reached instantly reached.

Hi luke,
remember me ? way back... port 80 requester for pool Smiley

Anyway, i have a small question.

I am sorry if this has been asked before (couldn't find an answer)... its hard to perform search only on this thread in this forum system...

Currently mining eligius pool using BFL jalapeno and cgminer(3.8.4), on XP ( Tongue ).
(I know BFG is recommended but couldn't manage to get it to recognize my BFL yet)

my command line is simple:

Code:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -u <my addr> -p x

When I turn on 'verbose', I see many "Share above target" messages.
e.g.,

What does this mean ?

I read in general that it means that shares I submitted are not relevant... it that normal ?

Does that depend on the difficulty given to my client on the pool ? Is it client side configurable ?

Also see the "BAJ0: invalid nonce - HW error" from time to time, but i understand it's a known evil for ASICs which you have to accept ... true ?

FYI: First batch of HashBuster Micro sold out and the next batch is delayed slightly until Monday. Orders placed before then will ship direct from manufacturer.

I'm trying to switch over from slush to eligius, but I'm positive it is working correctly. I'm using the stratum-mining-proxy like this:

mining_proxy.py -nm -q -p 3334 -o stratum.mining.eligius.st -cu 1MY_BTC_WALLET_ADDR -cp foo1

On the client side it appears to be working, but on the Eligius stats page for my wallet:

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1MY_BTC_WALLET_ADDR

I get the "not found in database. Please try again later, as stats sever is probably overloaded" error.

Is there anything I can do besides hitting the stats page to see if it is working (that I'm correctly authenticated with my wallet address)? I've waited a couple of hours now and it still is coming up as not found. I'm just trying to make sure I have everything configured correctly and I'm not just using the miners as space heaters here. TIA.

EDIT: Seems to be working now. I removed the -nm arg (no mid state) from stratum-mining-proxy. I was hashing with that arg earlier (AM Cubes), but I'm not so sure they are really compatible with it.

ASICMiner devices that hash using getwork definitely need the midstate data.  The little tiny microcontroller can't generate them fast enough at all.
