Klee with all those mastercoins, if you aren't planning to sell perhaps you should talk to Judith (chapter coordinator) about starting a Mastercoin chapter where ever you may be.

We are working on a partnership with a couple large hackathon organizers to push for hackathons focusing on distributed applications and finance applications once mastercoind and some of the smart property functionality is available.  The chapters would get involved in those, ensure there is a core group of people interested in using Master Protocol as a platform for their app,  and ultimately act as feeders into new investment opportunities.

I know mate, I am furious not because of any loss (I covered my fat ass when first MSC hit 0.1) but because I want cryptos in general to succeed.

I was a lucky NXT early adopter too (and Bitshares, XCP but NOT eMunie) and I plan with this stake to start my own software dev company (UbiCrypt) where I will try to promote MSC, NXT, XCP and maybe BTS.
I already have 2 devs working for me (1 part time, 1 full time) and a part time IT (NXT suffered from heavy DDoS attacks).
I will try to recruit more (and some friends of me have invested big in MSC and probably they will co-operate too).

I want them ALL to succeed - I had contacted Ron personally for the local chapter and made a post in Trello too.
I could not start it though because of NXT that kept me a hell of a busy.
That will change.

i was kicking myself for not making time to send that 1 btc i meant to send for nxt.. ugh.  It did get a bunch of PTS mining in early November so happy about that at least.

Having just finished up with our weekly dev sync con-call, I'm now pleased to publicly announce that I will be joining the project full-time!

The foundation has been working tremendously hard to attract quality talent to drastically speed up development and I can't express enough how excited I am to have the opportunity to dedicate significantly more time to Mastercoin.  We have a great team working on the project and with a significant number of new hires coming on board too and getting involved the next few months should be an exciting time!

I will be ceasing my current role and transitioning to working full time on development on 24 Feb.

Next time try signing more specific messages, e.g. "forum_handle + current_date + last_blockhash message for bitcointalk.org, requested by user malevolent"

Now that you posted it publicly there is a (small) risk that someone may try to use it to impersonate you, remember to always sign messages that are very specific.

For me who bought mastercoins at average 0.25 (first 5 at 0.419 and then 15 at 0.21) it does not feel good that thousands of coins is being dumped at 0.17.

Honestly this is a good thing- as long as mastercoin is not a total failure, then diluting JR's holdings is only a good thing in the long run. Someone mentioned that he is trying to take his initial ~1,500BTC investment back out. While I'm not 100% comfortable with that, the 145K mastercoin he still has left will be more then enough to give him ample incentive to keep working. :-)

Personally though- I'd be happier with MSC being sold for BTC to pay full time developers.

I think he should get his $1.5million original investment back out of the project, then spend another 45K mastercoin on hiring some real developers and a real project manager to get the progress stimulated into a highly advanced state.  Thereafter his 100K MSC will be worth shitloads. 

But as long as a hodge-podge team of come as you want folks operate in a loosely coupled group - Mastercoin will drift into oblivion. 

Look how awesome NXT's skin is.  They have a killer tight professional website and cover and forum and white paper and operation and team and others.  Why didn't Ron put all that stuff in place in the last 3 months?  Ron is travelling from Tel Aviv to Las Vegas, Miami speaking at conferences.  What the hell does that do?  Speaking at conferences is nothing if the team isn't making organized progress.  Ron is having the time of his life travelling around the world on MSC's dime.  But the project is drifting badly while others clearly are putting together very tight organized packages.  WTF?
