Also completed. I bought some more, maybe do it again later. Hopefully multiple transfers are not an issue. Last security transfer went well so I'm not too worried.

if you have an android phone/device it's the google authenticator.  once you get that app installed it's pretty self explanatory.

If you don't have s smartphone:

Here is a link that has in Step 2 how to setup 2-factor without a smartphone.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=111943.0

It would be best to use this on a off-line computer for security, but that is not required.
If you don't have a smartphone just ask people where you work - they usually have a year to two year old model just lying around or about to replace. I got two androids from work for $15 - an LG and a Kyocera Hydro. Definitely well worth it for what you can do with them - the LG was actually free. No need to buy one online.

Also, an iPod touch 3rd generation or higher can run ios 5 which is all that's required for google authenticator. These can be had for not much on ebay.

I think this is the best way to go for anyone that doesn't have or want to get a smartphone, but wants to keep their accounts secure with 2fa.

Can anyone inform me if Ken has officially announced what to do with our shares on bitfunder?

I know he has an exchange in the works but with the looming Nov 1 deadline I need to get my bitfunder shares out ASAP!

Thanks, tendered to AMC - TENDER - feels very worrisome but I trust ken.

Are there any other precautions I should take.  I have set up my bitfunder with a bitcoin address that I control and can sign from.

EDIT:  And just to be absolutely sure, is this the address that is important?

yes that's the one. that address shows on this public list: https://bitfunder.com/assetlist, prior to tendering your shares

EDIT:
I also PM'd Ken the transfer timestamp, my public bitcoin address and number of shares…

I think this is the best way to go for anyone that doesn't have or want to get a smartphone, but wants to keep their accounts secure with 2fa.

Only just found this out, but you can set up google authenticator on multiple devices so in essence you are creating backups with are easily accessible.  Let's say you have google authenticator already setup on your smartphone and have an old phone or perhaps and ipad at home.  Simply enter the initial setup code into both devices and presto! For accounts which you have already setup, you would need to turn off 2FA authentication and then reactivate it in order to get that initial setup code.

This makes losing your phone or having it stolen much less of a headache.

On a different subject, I'd like a quick confirmation that non US shareholders are fine to leave their shares in Bitfunder without getting 'verified' although from 1st November they will not be able to trade shares unless they get 'verified' status through Weexchange.  Cheers.

EDIT:   Any non American decided not to get 'verified' but leave their shares in Bitfunder?  If so, I'd love to here your reasons as I'm undecided.

How do we get confirmation that our shares have been received and properly recorded after we transfer them? Is there a list somewhere that shows which shares and by which public address Ken is holding?

Ken may publish a list, at the moment no list exists.

Also we are now 3 days from the end of November, and we are already meant to have the prototype chips.

I think we can assume eASIC have screwed up if we have no solid news soon.

Wrong.  We are four days from the end of October.

Is your assumption because you believe there is no other worldly explanation as to why there may be 'no solid news soon', if that turns out to be the case?

Ok... so say we pick up a few additional shares before transferring... how do we know at what point did Ken take a copy of the asset list to confirm the shares transferred to his account align with our public address on the asset list?

When we make a transfer how does Ken align that transfer with our public address? Or does the act of transferring give him that information?

Yes, everyone should have a public bitcoin address that they can sign.

Also keep a full screenshot showing your bitfunder username, and the transfer transaction of the transfer to AMC-TENDER.

This is your proof of the number of shares transferred.

We may need you to send a message from that public bitcoin address with the details of your transfer at a future time.

Please don't PM your transfer information.

Hey Ken,

For those of us who aren't in the US and are currently waiting on verification to complete on WeExchange, is it ok to keep our funds on BF? Will dividends still be paid out for us once verified, or is there really no other option except sending our shares to AMC-TENDER?
