https://www.havelockinvestments.com/20131101-announcement.phpFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 1, 2013 - Havelock Investments (HavelockInvestments.com), a leading Bitcoin Denominated Investment Fund, announced today that it has executed a definitive agreement to be acquired by The Panama Fund, S.A, a fully licensed and registered Panamanian Investment Company. The acquisitions creates the world's first, fully licensed, Bitcoin Denominated Fund Exchange, where companies from around the world will be able to raise capital directly, through the exclusive use of Bitcoins. With this acquisition HavelockInvestments.com will be able to maintain its current Funds, as well as expand its operations, while attracting new opportunities in the rapidly expanding Bitcoin Marketplace. The original HavelockInvestments.com team will remain in place and will play a key role in the future growth of the company. Please tell me Ken is now considering using Havelock! Why can't bitfunder do this? I like bitfunder much more than haveshit because ukyo is a pussy and would rather have all of his customers lose money than for him to have to put forth effort in protecting them

If Havelock Investments has what they say they have it would be nice to get ActiveMining listed on the exchange. It would be nice to be on a real exchange until a Coloredcoin solution is implemented.

If we get the verified status on bitfunder does this mean we have to report our profits/losses to our government even if we stay in BTC?
Im contemplating just getting verified

Of what I understand, it is only considered profit once you convert the bitcoins you profited into fiat.

If you move to Germany and hold bitcoins for 12 months, you can transfer to fiat without having to pay tax.

Of what I understand, it is only considered profit once you convert the bitcoins you profited into fiat. Not the case. Government considers it a profit as soon as you turn a profit in any denominated "form" of currency and last I checked, Bitcoin fits the bill for a "form" of currency as defined by the government (at least this is the case in Canada)... maybe America is drastically different, who'd assume! in the U.S., you get taxed on bartering - so even if you try to claim bitcoins as a non-monetary asset, (and I'm not sure if they would accept this argument or not - I'm not about to go ask them) trading one asset for another could easily fall under the definition of a barter. You'd have to prove the cost of the goods you sent to deduct from the value of the goods you received, which is a LOT harder to prove than you think it is. U.S. taxes get you coming and going. And then they even tax you when you die.

well you cant claim $50k loss, but you can take up to a $3000 loss each year against your taxes, unless you have other gains to offset those losses.

On the 6th everyone that has shares in the AMC-TENDER account will start accumulating dividends. We will be working on a solution to have the dividends disbursed. We have a number of options available to do the disbursements. As the whole Bitcoin stock exchange system is in a state of flux, we are waiting to see how everything shakes out. We will be getting an opinion from our lawyers on the new Havelock developments. We need to see if the new Havelock developments changes anything for any of our Investors.

Just to confirm, dividends will be paid to verified accounts on bitfunder as well on the 6th?
