so each time you making new blocks ?
i let my run 24/24 i only make new block with the very small ones
Yes, with 6000 HBN per block , I activate my wallet every 14 days and all of my blocks stakes within 24 hours , without going over the max cap. Consider the fact that HBN tries to stake every 30 seconds, so there is a maximum of ~ 2880 times per day that interest can be earned. Everyone that is keeping their HBN very low so they don't have to worry about the max cap , is using up most of that 2880 chances to stake as few as 70 HBN. This causes massive amounts of orphans , which would be ok if it was not so bad it was actually blocking the ability of some wallets to sync. If a large amount of users just combine their coins into blocks with higher amounts, it will be a more efficient use of the limited chances per day to stake. Example, I am trying to sync HBN from scratch on my VPS, so I can offer a HBN bootstrap.dat & blockchain snapshots so others don't have to wait to sync from scratch, but the orphans storm is so bad , my wallet can sit at 92 days to go for 48 hours and get nothing but orphans and never get any closer to getting synced, that is a major issue and fewer competing blocks will decrease the orphans and make HBN a lot better & smoother to use for everyone. Plus you will earn more HBN due to increased compound interest.

Eth raised more than double BTC than LISK.
Why post that in the HBN thread bro?

Yes, the coin could use some maintenance, but nobody wants to do it.

Yes, the coin could use some maintenance, but nobody wants to do it. The only thing that needs to happen is HBN users quit microstaking small amounts which is what is killing the sync with orphans. If everyone would just use coin control, to correct the orphan issue the network would run smoothly. Combine your coins into blocks of a minimum of 5000 or 6000 HBN per Block and sync will return to normal.

This feature doesn't need to be added because it's already there. At your console prompt type: 'splitthreshold 1000' and blocks won't split any more when they are smaller than 1000. You can choose any threshold you like as long as it is smaller then the total amount you own on that address divided by 500 So in order to use 1000 as a splitthreshold you need at least 500x1000= 500.000 HBN As you understand, this is a perk for people who own a lot of HBN because the big wallets provide most of the safety for the HBN blockchain. So everyone who is tired of manually combining, buy more HBN and let it handle itself. It's not that HBN is very expensive right now.. BTW, the same thing goes for 'combinethreshold 1000' to combine smaller blocks when they stake. This one goes as far as your stash divided by 250. Cheers!

wow, TIL. Do I need to enter this command every time I open the wallet? Yep, you have. I never close my wallet providing some proper stake weight to secure the chain. And also because I am lazy... If it doesn't work, type 'help' in the console and copy it from there to make sure you got it right

So what's the difference between split and combine? It seems like they effectively do the same thing.

So what's the difference between split and combine? It seems like they effectively do the same thing. Split is the normal thing you see when you have a block of say 5000 and you stake 200 and end up with 2 blocks of 2600. The threshold value sets a size limit on when block will be split. SO if you set 6000 as a limit and have a 5000 block stake 200...you will end up with one block of 5200 since 5200 < 6000. Combine is more like a vacumn that sucks up small blocks below the threshhold value and combines them into a single block. I would never let my blocks get small enough to use combine so I have not seen it in action...

Getting a runtime error when trying to open my wallet then the wallet crashes. I just copied the bootstrap from June 28th 2015 but the wallet will not get any connections. I there a more recent bootstap? This one still need to sync 297 days. I see the link at the top of the page, doh! None of my backups will load either, RIP 50K HBN in the blockchain either.
