Just had a brain flash.

Instead of taking a tech person to the conference, just print out this thread, bind it and keep referring to it by thumbing it's pages.

When asked questions, just stare for a while at the person, put your hand on the pile of print and in a hollow voice intone: "it's in the book"

Would it be too much work to program a DACCEO to attend the event?

Edit: Actually, they can use, but only with an identical genesis block. LOL

What happens if they would change recipient or amounts in the genesis block? I don't see how this will lead to a problem.

Disclosure: I'm actually homosexual so it makes it ok for me to the use that word in the same way Jews can call each other Jews.

Your disclosure doesn't make it any more okay than the fact that you dropped the word in a negative context, with no personal or cultural context provided until prompted.  You can't do that, any more than I or anyone else can.

I don't mean to derail this thread more than I already have this morning, but I have lines I won't let people cross.  I understand you meant well, but intention and perception are not the same thing and you need to be more careful.

In other news, so I don't feel like I wasted a post to be a complainer: hurray for version 0.5.10; and last night I made a bunch of updates to the draft whitepaper that I hope someone will look at because I'm not terribly confident in my understanding of the source code.  Peek at http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Whitepaper:Nxt

Not sure I fully agree with you yet, as I simply don't see people as different I love them all unless they're overly sensitive (or pussy's, the negative connotation associated with female genitalia which everyone likes except me as previously stated I like dicks which also can be used quite negatively). However I'll reflect on this in bed tonight. Great news about v 0.5.10, and I'll check out the feedback summary of your whitepaper when someone posts  Tongue

What can your LAK do that neither NXT, nor Bitcoin can?

U could ask the same about Litecoin...

Don't you think it is too soon to create an Alt coin to compete with Nxt? No offense.

Any other coin can have a lot of features but once Nxt switches 1000+ tps mode on, all competitors will be left behind.

Other than your transactions will list it as incoming transaction with zero Nxt and 1 Nxt fee, nothing really.  New clients will have a message tab so you can access all your messages in one spot.

Nxt 0.5.10 Web-based Windows Installer has been released here:

https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=311

or here:

https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1902.0.html

Let me know if you run into any issues as this is the first release after a complete re-write of the installer.

With a block time of 1 min give or take 10 seconds, transactions would have to happen offline, right? I think this is possible due to proof of stake. But if this is the method behind 1,000 TPS there should be no limit to the amount of transactions per second aside from the maximum size of a block.

Theoretically, would 60k tps be possible if in the other 59 seconds 0 transactions occurred?

No. In April we won't have 100% implemented TF.

I don't think that there will be empty blocks in the future.
