Right now NXT is mostly vaporware. What are you going to market? "Second generation cryptocurrency" slogan? This sounds like bullshit straight from Quarkcoin's "next generation crypto-currency".
Everybody in the altcoin market heard the promises already, back in December.

The news about working features will spread by itself.

Alias System is not vaporware but ppl still don't use it. Are we waiting for a bright cold day in April?..

It needs to be more than alias, needs to be DNS system so that it can be used seamlessly. Right now all you can do is redirect to a website, which may or may not be banned by governments.

Most people, doesnt even have good knowledge about Nxt. Easy, full working client software would be enough to make ppl starting to notice it and latter would be start to using those features inside it.

It's leather upholstery in a car without seats.

Also, I don't think anybody bought NXT due to alias system. People bought it for decentralized exchange, assets, and 1000+ TPS. Perhaps some bought it due to lower environment cost.

This just will move the price down and then back. I could sell off-exchange and then buy on BTER...

Weekend project, let's build a DNS system guys!

Here is what I propose, we encode HTML webpages in base64, the base64 is then truncated and sent. the transaction ID's are retrieved and a master file with the locations (and format) of the truncated html is formed. The masterfile is returned and can be used to access the data.

Multiple master files can be formed (due to 1k data limit) and put into one, etc... unlimited amounts of data could be stored this way.

If a dynamic webpage is needed an account could be created and reserved for "hosting" the latest message sent by this account could be the updated website data. Accounts could be used as domain names in a customized browser.

I already have the truncation programs written, but who wants to join me and make this work?

I have a 100k nxt budget for this project (can be increased).

PM me if you are interested.

There were some but noone could afford to buy all 1.3 at once and I didn't wish to split it.

That's not a dns system, that's a storage system.

How would you then access the page? Via an alias that has some sort of list of message IDs?

Uhh...  Huh This is a much needed feature that we can code with available resources and API calls.

API call to get recent transactions of an account, latest transaction = latest masterfile.

This is better than DNS as you could potentially "host" dynamic webpages by updating only a few files on the masterfile.

Needed by who exactly? Who will use it and pay money for it?
Backup purposes? It's competing with Crashplan which offers unlimited storage for $59.99/year and similar competitors.
Static website server? It's competing with thousands free hosting providers on the internet.
