Looking at your settings and your proxy - you are having your proxy pass through the user names in your cubes rather than defining it proxy-wide, via the "-cu" and "-cp" switches.  You can do that of course, but then you have to be sure that the usernames in your cube setups will work on the pool directly.

Hope this helps!
- Tye

I don't know how to use the -cu or -cp switch.  Can you give me an example?  Thanks!

In addition to the gateway change, you'll need to change your proxy line to

Code:
mining_proxy.exe -o us2.eclipsemc.com -p 3333 -gp 8330 -q

Your Gateway is blank....Needs to be your router IP address....

Thanks, Gents!  One or both of these got me mining!  Cheers!

Wait, I'm going to take a longshot here, -cu is <username> and -cp <password>?  I'll try that...

EDIT:  Well, I tried that as in: -cu username -cp password but the mining did not register on the site.  If I use my username/password in the settings panel, it works.  But I'd like the functionality of using a command line version.  If someone can give me an example in syntax.  Thanks.

Without options, the default mining_proxy port is 8332.  You configured your cubes to access 8330, so adding the string "-gp 8330" was your resolution.  You must set your worker:password, worker:password in the cube settings... it then passed it through mining_proxy as it converts the getwork protocol to stratum and then accesses your pool with those worker settings.

(And to restate - I can get this to work with BFGminer, I am trying to figure out mining_proxy.)

Any ideas?  Thanks.

Your Gateway is blank....Needs to be your router IP address....

Actually, you don't need a gateway address nor DNS as your connecting to a proxy on the same layer 2 network.  The problem is your cube was on 8330; when the default is 8332 - when you added "-gp 8330" this changed the proxy listening port to 8330, and thus enabled you to connect.

Here is one of mine:

I just installed the new fans in a reverse fashion... so air now is sucked through the rear grate and exhausted through the side where the power and ethernet connections are.  Again; for my application, this is a much better design but I wanted to mention that it wasn't a problem; however, to prevent the fans power cable from being sucked into the fan, I routed it from the bottom section of the fan to the power lead.  The power wire is usually coming from the upper left of the cube (as you face it level), this had to change to make the wire shorter and more direct to prevent the wire from stopping the fan, or getting damaged.  There has been no impact to the cube's performance by making this alteration.

Is it normal for the fuse to be warm to the touch on high clock?  I have 2 cubes, one doesn't like high clock, the other one seems ok but the fuse is warm to the touch.  I have only had it on high clock for 4 or 5 hours now after running on low for a couple days, but I don't know if I should leave it on high or not.

It pulls more power through the fuse on high, so, yes, I'd expect it to be a bit warm to the touch.

Not overly hot, but if it's slightly warm, it's not a problem.

I had one cube totally destroy the fuse, fuse holder and do considerable damage to the main board after a week of running on the high clock speed.
I have had to jury rig a repair using heavy gauge wire running to an external fuse. The new fuse runs hot to the touch (>50c), you can keep your finger on the fuse, but it is uncomfortable, on the point of starting to burn. One advantage of the wires is I can place the fuse itself in the airflow to the fan which cools it somewhat.

The design they have used, is that both power feeds are combined into one 12v rail just before the fuse. I think a better design would have been to keep the two high current feeds on separate rails each feeding 3 blades and have a third 12v feed from the power supply (there are usually plenty of those spare even on power supplies running multiple cubes) feeding the main board, fan and Ethernet port. That would spread the load out more

I can get my cubes to work using BFGMiner but I'm Having a problem using the mining_proxy.exe.  My batch file setting is:

Code:
mining_proxy.exe -o stratum+tcp://us2.eclipsemc.com -p 3333 -gp 8330 -q

(and yes, mining_proxy.exe is in the same folder as the .bat file.)

Here is my miner settings:

And this is the error messages:

(And to restate - I can get this to work with BFGminer, I am trying to figure out mining_proxy.)

Any ideas?  Thanks.

Why are you guys using a secondary stratum proxy when BFGMiner already has a stratum proxy built in? Just pass --http-port 8330 , change the ports on the cube page to 8330 (I guess you could pass --http-port 8332 also) and call it a day.

I guess I'll leave it on low clock for the weekend.  It seemed mostly fine all day but leaving it alone over the 3 day weekend to test how well it handles high clock doesn't seem like a good idea.  Touching the fuse portion where the little loop of wire is is definitely hot enough to burn.  Not immediately, and not like blister or anything, but holding a finger tip there for a few seconds produced a red sore spot.  Next week I'll try an overnight on high clock and see what happens.

I have been trying to find a discussion on this since I got these cubes. So at the end of the day, what does that mean for efficiency / mining revenue wise? My first guess is higher stale count without longpoll or I could be way off.

Sucks you have to leave it in low power but definitely a good call granted you wont be there to monitor/babysit it. Do any of you guys run extra cooling. I know its overkill and maybe not feasible with a large farm but I have a house fan sitting behind my last cube and inside of a cold dry garage. I do this more for the sake of cases like this one, (stuff failing under heat) with efficiency/revenue coming second.

You only have 325W on the +12v rails combined.  It should be OK if you're using both on low clocks (around 200W), but I wouldn't try high clocks (280W+) on that PSU.

This power supply will not work.  Wattage is "barely" enough for one cube and the 12v rails are only 18a.  Minimum needed is 30....and I recommend 35+. ( I have had 30a psu not even work.)

I haven't seen anyone able to use 20a power supply (but I may be wrong) to run a cube even on low.  Maybe 25a, but you might not be able to run high speed clock. (That is why they have 30a fuses for protection at full clock).  Even the OP (Doggie) in the first topic is suggesting 66a for two cubes.  From my experience a 30a 750w PS was not even adequate to run one on low, but I am sure different power supplies perform better than others.

One other suggestion, look for 80plus gold rated power supplies.  If you get a less efficient one you are just wasting money paying the power company. Funny how people will worry about a 1%-3% mining pool fee but overlook a 10% inefficient power supply. Remember you will be running your miner 24 hours a day.  Also make sure you buy from a reputable manufacturer because the "80 plus" rating is voluntary and can be faked.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_Plus

I have a couple of these with 3 cubes on each:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152044

I was able to get them off Ebay for around $110 each a few months ago.

I am running 1 cube off a corsair GS800 on high clock, the PSU handles it effortlessly, the cube is a slightly different story.
