using slush's stratum proxy now. purchased this TT 650 W, model SP-650P  (someone mentioned a few posts before it worked for them) It says uses single +12v rail. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153173
hashing from the last 5 mins. lets see if this lasts. Will also shut down my android phone if it stops now.

This one also stops after 5-10 mins (only one green light remain on the cube, fan is still working, but no other lights ON, and can't access the config page).
Give me a PSU name and I get that one tomorrow!
Corsair **anything** 500-750W. 1000s of them round the world powering ASIC equipment.

Corsair CX 500 has been running my cube on high for ~60 days now. Not one problem.

Hello,

I've found a lot of great info to get my cube working on this thread, but still have an issue. The speed of my cube is very slow, but doesn't appear to have any errors. It shows the MHS normally around 08000.

What am I doing wrong?

The command used to start the Proxy is:
mining_proxy.exe -o us1.eclipsemc.com -p 3333

Pool points to the server running the Prozy
Switch Mode is: Equal Priority (Primary/Backup doesn't appear to work, is this the issue)
Clock selected: High
Long Poll: inactive

The web portal shows all 0 and no x at that top

Any thoughts?

Look at the white numbers. They should all be 300 or more. If several are 000 your miner is not getting enough work from the proxy. Which means the computer running it is too weak or your network is too slow to keep up with work requests.

Its not that. Try moving the miner in relation to the stratum proxy, specifically to avoid network switches.

So has anyone figured out how to solo mine with the these ASICMiner cubes? For example, I would like to solo mine a SHA-256 altcoin like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=443108.0

Could someone give me a hand so we can solve this together? I'm sure i'm not the only one with a cube who would like to try solo mining some new currency in hopes of reaching the moon... Thanks!

When I switch it on with one pcie cable in, the light comes on and the fan doesn't.

When I plug the second pcie cable in, the light and fan comes on and it quickly switches off.

In either case, I cannot connect through the router and use it.

I am using a 500w psu connected without a motherboard.

I read 500w was enough. If I bought a better psu, would it definitely work?

can't seem to get the cube to run on ubuntu 12.04LTS

got slush's pool up and running with input

-o us1.ghash.io -p 3333 -cu dayold_cube -cp 1 -gp 8332

cube set-up is

Pool ports    8332,8332
Pool addresses   localhost, localhost (or in my case 192.168.1.3)
Miners dayold_dildo,dayold_dildo

also for shits and giggles i ran

sudo ufw allow 8332

however the cube still returns all 0, and ghash isn't seeing crap... of course as soon as i get it running imma alternate the ceube between ghash and bitminter... if it ever runs Sad

EDIT:
NVM i'm stupid lol
for anyone else with this issue, this is the inpout you need:
-oh IP ADDRESS -sh IP ADDRESS -o POOL ADDRESS -p PORT -cu USER -cp PASS -gp 8332
or you can just edit the mining_proxy.py file and put in the parameters under every input's "default=blahblah" field and bing bang bongo

Perhaps this can help someone else.

(snip)

Additionally, I found a Dell Latitude X1 in my "I don't use these but don't want to throw them out" stuff.  It's running 2 copies of the slush proxy (one per cube) on 13 watts when the screen is blanked.  It's running Windows XP, and peaking at about 70% utilization on the cpu.

(snip)

I've been doing some experimentation, and I've found that when I run my proxies on a Dell T3400 (core2 quad, 8GB ram) I get about 10% better hash rates than when I run on the X1 laptop.  The difference in power consumption is probably significant; next time I have the cubes down for any reason I'll put a watt meter on it and see.

That looks extremely cheap quality to me.  Not all 500W power supplies are the same, even if the stats say they are.  I've been using a Corsair CX500, works great without issues so far.

Look to the OP for links to real PSUs, this one won't even come close. Trust me I know, I used to sell 100s of them.

Ok, so the cube connects to bitminter with no problem, however i can't get it to show up on ghash.io.
according to the terminal its running, and the main page says that its crunching numbers. however when i go to my workers at ghash it only shows my bought GH/s and not the cube  Huh

Hello all,
I have just bought my 1st Asic Cube, i have it setup and running the proxy (on my windows PC)as per descriptions on here, all good so far! but i would like to run in with my Rasp Pi, i have configured the proxy from slush and everything connects ok and the cube starts to run now, my Pis CPU goes to 100% and stays there, and only half the cubes processors run and its producing around 15gh max, can anyone help with this?
i have tried to use bfgminer but this simply will not connect! any ideas as i know people are running 4/5 cubes from there pis.

Thanks
Steve

Cube now hashes perfectly for 15-20 mins, then 'dead'. Still power issue ?
What have you changed since last time. Is it the same cube that is failing?

And I've said it a million times, use slush's stratum proxy. Its so much simpler because in this case you don't know if its BFG.
using slush's stratum proxy now. purchased this TT 650 W, model SP-650P  (someone mentioned a few posts before it worked for them) It says uses single +12v rail. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153173

Perfect. Got the corsair cx modular 750 W

My cube has been up for 15+ hrs now. It was just the PSU, and I opened and closed my cube atleat 25 times.

You guys think I can run 2 cubes with this?
