There's a fork in the blockchain. Downloading the last wallet isn't enough. I tried it 4 times. It's not important if you didn't add any special .conf file, the wallet connects automatically to some nodes, and it seems like your wallet connected to the right ones.

Thanks.

What's the deal with  "v0.10.2.1-unk-abe"?
On that website there's "v0.10.2.1-abe"

It's the same version. They call it "v0.10.2.1-abe", but when you look in the wallet it shows "v0.10.2.1-unk-abe".

It appears that there were some trades done on ecoinfund.com today. Maybe a test?  There's still no sign up or login, but hopefully it'll be up and running soon.

Hi,

Right now I can have a fully synced wallet and working properly, what I did different from other times was to force the nodes instead (with connect=) instead of letting the wallet discover more nodes (by using addnode=). I am not sure that this is the Cryptsy blockchain or not, but if it isn't it should be because the block explorer with this chain seems to be the most stable one.

Just delete everything from the roaming folder except the wallet.dat and create pennies.conf with the following data:
Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=128.10.1.*
rpcport=12121
daemon=0
server=0
listen=1
maxconnections=100
connect=92.5.116.107
connect=115.28.130.40
connect=5.164.60.8
connect=115.29.54.172
connect=42.96.139.131
connect=70.122.124.50
connect=211.103.126.194
connect=5.29.2.69

These nodes were the ones which the block crawler was connected to last night the first one is the actual block crawler IP:
http://pennies.kicks-ass.net/peers.php

Here is the result of getinfo:
Code:
{
"version" : "v0.10.2.1-unk-abe",
"protocolversion" : 70001,
"walletversion" : 60000,
"balance" : 281000000.00000000,
"newmint" : 0.00000000,
"stake" : 120527275.00000000,
"blocks" : 281521,
"moneysupply" : 43133125167514.00000000,
"connections" : 7,
"proxy" : "",
"ip" : "79.169.199.14",
"difficulty" : 0.00024414,
"testnet" : false,
"keypoololdest" : 1388282133,
"keypoolsize" : 101,
"paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
"errors" : ""
}

TAG - but seems dev is going to reject POS, becouse there are a lot of problem with forks. (1.5% annually)
GRA - has a fork problem as well
NVC - seems it is one of the most stable coins with POS (now it is about 5% monthly)

I was able to send pennies to cryptsy yesterday, but few of my txs stucked with 2 or 3 confirmations. I see that altexplorer.info have some issues. Is this why my pennies didnt arrive yet? Can someone send pennies to cryptsy today?

It seems that the block crawler on altexplorer.info is either directly connected to cryptsy or acts as an exclusive peer to cryptsy seeing as every time it goes down, cryptsy deposits stop at the exact same time.

Before the altexplorer.info block crawler went down yesterday I synced my pennies.kicks-ass crawler to it so I have the last chain that cryptsy were using here:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_GOSqs6Iq2MTVZNMUVBT0NlQ0U/edit

It looks to me like the altexplorer.info crawler are attempting to re-sync from scratch with 0.10.0.0 and are stuck at block 50623. No doubt because it's impossible to sync from scratch with that version and that is the very reason for the updated client releases. Mullick and/or cryptsy really need to update their client and stop using 0.10.0.0.

After Jan 8th, there should have been much less moneysupply, but it didn't.
The amount of money supply beyond 40 trillion should have been illegal

The coin would  die at the end.

It's not that the moneysupply was supposed to shrink, but stop staking such large amounts.  The fix has worked and Pennies are now being staked at a much lower rate.  In fact, it may take years to mint the next trillion.
