And i'm sorry to say that i will dump some coins in the right moment when it comes to the 2X & 5X rewards. Because i'm pretty sure that prices will always fall. Not because i'm greedy, but i don't accept that some greedy miners should be the only ones that can make fast money.

You're not greedy but the miners are? Prick...

So one is greedy if one invests thousands upon thousands of dollars in mining rigs and want some return, but not if one invests some hundred dollars in Coinex to trade...?

Same kind of greed, different tools to achieve the goal...

Of course everyone is here to earn som money.

I am doing both, mining and investing and both miners and investers/traders are necessary for success.

More than anything, we need to have a hard working dev team, updated news and somewhere to trade.

Sweet words everywhere  Kiss

Some people don't seem to understand one thing: If nobody is interested in buying a coin, the coin will disappear from the market, including the whole foundation, projects, team, supporters and whatever else is/was standing for it. You can turn it around as you like, it's simply a fact. What will be left are some miners that mine for fun.

My main investment in EAC is done, saved on a usb stick and stored in a save place. I will keep it until there is good news or a big R.I.P. message. A certain ammount saved in another wallet to trade and see how things go on. And YES, i want to earn some profit one day. Sorry for that. I know everyone else only wants to use the coins to make the earth more green.

And i'm sorry to say that i will dump some coins in the right moment when it comes to the 2X & 5X rewards. Because i'm pretty sure that prices will always fall. Not because i'm greedy, but i don't accept that some greedy miners should be the only ones that can make fast money.

Now you guys can think about me what you want. Finally i know that i have already helped some people and projects with donations. And YES, i still have trust in this coin, otherwise i would be out of here faster than anyone could imagine.

We will see. I hope this will all go in a healthy way for all of us.

I tend to disagree, yes big mining farms can generate a shitload of coins, but there are also allot of us in the sub 5mh farming and as much as you have invested we also take risk to put all our hash on eac, we have cost to cover like electricity maint. etc. So we tend to lose as much if this coin fail. So why am i still hashing away, because i believe in this coin, devs and the community that surrounds this coin. Its the best coin launched ive come across in a long time.

I also think that everyone is fixated on the cryptsy launch, we all hoping that's going to be the case, but why cant platforms like coinex and coinedup coexist with cryptsy and btc-e.

If for whatever reason this doesn't happen on cryptsy are we just going to stare at each other and say what now, I think eac has to strong of a support base not too turn things around for eac, my 2c.

The submitblock patch given earlier in the thread and merged in the code breaks the submitblock API.

If the block is accepted, submitblock is supposed to return Null, not True:

https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0022.mediawiki#Block_Submission
Quote
This method MUST return either null (when a share is accepted), a String describing briefly the reason the share was rejected, or an Object of these with a key for each merged-mining chain the share was submitted to.

Line 1874 in bitcoinrpc.cpp needs to be changed from:

Code:
return true;

to

Code:
return Value::null;

Yes you are right. This was the code from another member for the mining pool. I fixed it and checked in github. Thanks for the info!

There's something I don't get on this market. Where is(are) the guy(s) who was(were) pulling the price down yesterday and the days before?! As a consequence of what he did, the trade volume dropped down (with the price) and now the coin can be killed with 1.5 BTC (there is almost no more buying orders).

Good job Smiley

I want to promote EAC, but I don't get this point. Can anyone explain to me, why EAC is the fastest?

I do know earlier today when I was looking at coinex, there was a 1M+ wall (3.1 btc) at 2.8 that kept being placed and removed. Well, it was placed and someone came in a bought over 800k EAC, then someone else scooped in and bought the rest, 2.2 btc worth. Ever since then, there hasn't been a wall.

These prices are insane, now I'm tempted to beg/borrow/steal so I can buy up more of this slack!  From a strictly cold-investment standpoint this will advance my position and lower my median.   I'm curious why no one else is moving at least a few BTC in here and keeping this market propped up.

that's very funny, just remember that with 270M premined you can HOLD all you want.
it doesn't change the fact that OP STILL holds the majority of this coin.

there ought to be some standards in this community, 2% is outright greedy IMHO.

stop talking about the premine in that negative tone. The dev stated the purpose very clearly:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379236.msg4194356#msg4194356

Like many others, I have no problem of 2% premine, it is very reasonable, as long as the dev use much of it to promote the value of the coin.

You have no problem that all the EAC miners combined have created less EAC than OP has awarded himself?

No, that is not a problem right now, since EAC will be around for many years to come and the amount mined by the community will pretty soon surpass that which was premined. And if you do not like EAC, why bother, go somewhere and whine...

Personally I'm not against pre-mines as long as that coin is going towards the development of the coin, whether it be post OR pre launch costs, however I do thing dev's gain a lot more trust if they go open book.

Devs have I believe less than 200M coins left,  There is 650M  total market cap, with more everyday.    So everytime the devs sell/give/reward/trade they are diminishing their power over the currency.

What I don't understand is why people don't view the devs holding a stack of coin as a positive asset towards the coins future.   Bitcoin and LTC 'made' it.   They've garnered enough value through existence that there is a steady demand to hold value.   EAC or any other new coin has no value unless its earned.  Who is going to work for that value?   Miners that would just assuming skin it alive to make a fraction of a BTC?   Or someone(s) who see much bigger gains in the long-run.

Who is even going to line the devs pockets when they dump?  Where is there a line of investors waiting to goobble up 60M EAC at $.25 USD per coin?    Cryptsy isn't going to produce new demand (not much)  If this is a Dev-pump-scam-coin  then they have already failed to cash out so why are they posting here and continuing to work with the community?    How does working on a Android wallet get them closer to that 'magical hey we are rich from dumping coins on gullible loosers' goal they are after?

I think the real money is putting some ass into this thing and trying to give it wings and see if it can fly,  Or even glide a little.   Yeah lets start with glide.
