VNL and new NOBL wallets has issues and require it's devs job. We will activate them and serve all tickets of them once it will be fixed

We had a meeting on IRC few days ago. Chatted for 15 minutes then he went to run a script. I waited for 2 hours but no response whatsoever. So went to sleep in the end. Another 3 hours passed and he was back on IRC.

Sigh.

Definitely not a great experience.

Anyway I have written another script to help him and sending PM.

You provided new script with addresses in it 2 days ago. I used it but got the same result.
Discrepancy of balance on new wallet is still minus 1.6M coins.
I am ready to work further on this problem, but can't get in touch with You. Waiting for You in IRC or skype.

Outcome of today's meeting:
- we found 145k coins which were sent to c-cex after the switch so can be subtracted from total amount. I have asked Yuriy to check if there were any other late transfers which happened after the switch
- myself I am going to check another script I heard about
- next meeting on Friday
- the worst case scenario is I will take wallet.dat from Yuriy and investigate it myself

Is it better to buy and hold NOBL or NOXT? I am still trying to draw the connection, if any, between the two, even after reading different communications on the two.

NOXT has the original developer backing it, and theoretically has a solid plan forward and great potential. But Rofo, the dev, has recently become a little too reclusive with information and updates. While I still support him 100% and trust he'll make good on his word, if it were anyone else i'd be counting the coin out.

NOBL has far more community activity, but the 'dev scene' is on shaky ground. Eagleflies from what I understand is not planning on being a full time dev for us. We got PoS, cut the daily created coins down from 7M to .5M and now, as a community need to decide what to do next. The community appears to be taking the steps necessary to make NOBL a success though! NOBL's

I'm personally invested heavily in both, and am far happier with the current outlook of NOBL atm.

I'v been contacted by You regarding swap only march, 4. I was able to disable new deposits on march, 5 only. But deposit mentioned by You (last one as You asked me to check for last deposit date and I gave You that amount with date.) happened on march, 5. And we have lot's of other deposits registered and traded till march, 5. Looks like this is our 1.6M coins that were registered to customer's accounts and traded.

1 day is not a good term for coin swap procedure.

Apologies. It was late notice indeed since your exchange was not listed on noblemovement.com website. Ticket was cut after someone mentioned c-cex on our thread.

So at this point we found all the money. The difference is due to deposits which came after the switch. Could you check what amount of these coins was traded already? If it was traded straight away it was most probably someone executing double spending. But it is possible portion of these coins was sent to your exchange by person who was not aware of the switch.

I need to know why the burn address on the new chain holds 1.2 million NOBL (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/address.dws?9T6fgHG3unjQB6vpWozhBdiXDbQp3P7F8M.htm) and on the old chain holds 748 million NOBL (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/noblold/address.dws?9T6fgHG3unjQB6vpWozhBdiXDbQp3P7F8M.htm). Edit: Perhaps 'balance' is the wrong term, could use sent/received/burnt.

I also need to know what is happening with the extra 150-200 million NOBL 'premined' and I assume has been staked since?

You will have to forgive my ignorance if I'm missing something simple. They are the two primary questions I am consistently getting asked.

Hmm, I'm seeing the same "amount" received in both: 1,210,122.907805, which corresponds to a last burn in tx b179ea84d9b5e8c407f268938b68b3d35511cd1af71c5d842fe441cce46fad3f which had not been zero'ed, and thus ended up in the distribution script.

I have not yet tagged and zero'ed the burn address in the new chain, I will do it asap (this will affect the number of outstanding coins, market cap, and add the little 'burn' tag)

The zero'ing of burn addresses still involves a manual operation in the DB at the moment, which is why the 1.2 M burn slipped through :/

You will have to forgive my ignorance if I'm missing something simple. They are the two primary questions I am consistently getting asked.

1. Total amount of coins was decreased by amount burnt so this was removed from equtation by fairglu's script. Not sure where you see 748mil? If you look closer both block explorers show same balance of 1.2 mil.

2. Regarding latest premine - check the rich #1 address on the list https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/#!rich You can easily see it was not staked. It will be burnt within 7 days.

3. Since we started talking about premine - I think it is good time for you to answer couple of questions:
- Are you going to be dev for Noblecoin? I think everyone (myself including) will be delighted if you confirm. People have right to know what your plans are.
- There is few things requiring immediate action - our website contains lots of stale links. This should be corrected. Are you going to work on this or should we start looking for someone from community to take care of this?
- FB/twitter accounts - are you going to actively promote this coins or should this be handed over to someone from community
- if you really want to quit you need to update community about status of original premine. AFAIK there is at least 30 mil coins remaining. And this should be burnt if you do not want to get involved anymore
- do you have OP rights on IRC channel?

My suggestion is: please stay with Noble and take role of leader who's main responsibility is working on business side. If you state something like that I am convinced we will be able to gather team of people working for Noble. We would need someone to take care of website, marketing (FB/twitter/promotional campaigns) etc. Myself I am willing to help with Noblecoin's code. I can also step down if you want to be the leader and will say so.

How to burn latest premine

I would like to ask for ideas how to burn the latest premine. AFAIK the address which was used to burn coins in exchange for NOXT was an address from origin block on POW blockchain. If this is true then I would prefer to use some other address since in theory it may be possible to have access to origin block. For the same reason I prefer not to use an address of origin block on POS blockchain.

So my question is: is this OK if address like 99999..999 (all nines) is used? Or something similar e.g. 989898...9898 or 9a9a9a...9a9a.

1. Total amount of coins was decreased by amount burnt so this was removed from equatation by fairglu's script. Not sure where you see 748mil? If you look closer both block explorers show same balance of 1.2 mil.

How were they decreased? It was a 2.2ish billion original and 2.4ish billion new chain? That's an increase. I look closely, one shows me all the transactions as proof of burn, one does not.

New chain now shows it as 19,575,462.587464 (with no corresponding transaction). Are these manual edits? It is gone again now.

I'm seeing 748mil in transactions transferred on the old blockchain that I am not seeing on the new one. That is important. Is there somewhere I can see a list of transactions I can verify instead then?

Quote
2. Regarding latest premine - check the rich #1 address on the list https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/#!rich You can easily see it was not staked. It will be burnt within 7 days.

Fair enough I guess. Not my responsibility but I needed to ask because people think it's still me and a reflection of how we handled the original premine. Not sure why you've sat on them.

Quote
3. Since we started talking about premine - I think it is good time for you to answer couple of questions:

These have been answered multiple times, and this is the last time I will be answering them.

Quote
- Are you going to be dev for Noblecoin? I think everyone (myself including) will be delighted if you confirm. People have right to know what your plans are.

I was under the impression you are the dev. I had a mutiny on my hands almost daily and stepped back to let this new direction be handed over, one desired by yourself and others. I can accept that my direction and 'leadership' was no longer wanted, but I do not have the time nor care to spend a second year working for this in an extremely toxic environment (crypto in general as well as general community). Of course people have a right to know what my plans are, I made them public for 12 months and majority disapproved/disagreed. That is no hard feelings on my end, I gave it 100%, now take responsibility for your own plans then.

I do not wish to get into an argument over this again. I am stating it how it is. I have not prevented or 'sabotaged' anything as often stated. The offer for the site, FB, Twitter and ANN responsibility still stands - noone has taken me up on them. I am more than happy to hand over in good faith to those pushing the new direction.

My focus is on NOXT and business side of things, which will continue to provide services for NOBL. I can not afford to work with anonymous parties at this point in time that I do not know and that I have to answer and be responsible/accountable for.

Quote
- What about SSL cert? This is max 30 mins job for someone who knows what to do. Cost is around $10

It is active - and currently looks fine for me. Perhaps a cache clearing is required on your end? The dates of the certificate can be seen for early March.

https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=https://www.noblemovement.com

Quote
- FB/twitter accounts - are you going to actively promote this coins or should this be handed over to someone from community

I've answered this multiple times. Including publicly in this thread. I was happy to hand over the Twitter/FB accounts as wanted to someone voted.

Quote
- if you really want to quit you need to update community about status of original premine. AFAIK there is at least 30 mil coins remaining. And this should be burnt if you do not want to get involved anymore

This premine is gone. This stands. As well as all my original numbers and expenses and addresses of the original premine. I don't need to prove anything else to this community if after 12 months noone is satisfied.

Quote

We would need someone to take care of website, marketing (FB/twitter/promotional campaigns) etc. Myself I am willing to help with Noblecoin's code.

My prime responsibilities are still the services.

You are free to vote in a new website. The www.noblemovement.com will have the same areas dedicated to the coin, once the new landing page is complete. I am happy to have someone have a layout and info. they access and update there, exactly as I was fine to do with the ANN (which also still noone has taken me up on). Or you are free to decide on your own.

I cannot stress enough how important it is for this chain that proof of burn of that 750 million NOBL is public and verifiable (as it is here, as well as the excess 200 million. Or else you have 1 billion NOBL unaccountable for to regular Joe and potential savvy entrants in the future.. do you understand what that means?

Quote
I would like to ask for ideas how to burn the latest premine. AFAIK the address which was used to burn coins in exchange for NOXT was an address from origin block on POW blockchain.

The address is a provably unspendable one that is universal to BTC forks, outlined in detail and explained at the time. The links and details on how that works would still be around here somewhere.

Your wallet knows all your addresses, including change addresses, so your coins are probably there, but unless they're spent and taint analysis can find them, only you can know those addresses (see first question in https://chainz.cryptoid.info/faq.dws)

Taint analysis found 2 change addresses of your wallet f.i. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/wallet.dws?18406.htm

The old chain outstanding coins figure of 2.2 billion in the old chain is with the burns subtracted.

these are manual edits? Edit: and now it's gone..

I'm currently improving the address page for burn to change labels as you suggested and clarify stuff, bear with me Smiley
