The price is so low I can't believe my eyes
Yup, VTC have been overvalued for long time, so what's ya point? The real problem is that some trolls who bought at maybe 50+ are hellbent on destroying the future of coin by suggesting to devs to change the coin into some other coin in order to protect their ass and get short term profit at the expense of VTC future. R.I.P Vertcoin wellcome Trollcoin

Yup, VTC have been overvalued for long time and it will be overvalued again, so what's ya point? The real problem is that some trolls who bought at maybe 50+ are hellbent on destroying the future of coin by suggesting to devs to change the coin into some other coin in order to protect their ass and get short term profit at the expense of VTC future. R.I.P Vertcoin wellcome Trollcoin i cannot agree with you totally... but you have to admit that there have to be some changes done. I am not very confident about the "dangerous ASIC" story anymore. As long as you graphic card isn't able to mine enough coins to cover your bills you won't be interested in a coin.

I'm wondering why someone mined bitcoins for years, wasting energy and time for nothing.
Not everyone are interested in a coin to sell it as soon as it hit "x" usd/eur.
I don't intend to exchange it for any currency at all.
Hope there is a lot more people like me, for cryptos sake.

VTC looked like a LTC killer for a while but now with all those trolls and devs willing to take them seriously it dosen't look like that anymore.

Good point... They had nothing to do except keep it like LTC clone but resist asic. The coin was already popular, most difficult thing was done succesfully already. Now it is complicated gas factory nobody want anymore. LTC model showed it was good, why to change fundamentals? ahh yeah: to become next DRKcoin

Why is VTC falling?
1.) Overvalued in the first place. 2.) All alts are falling at the moment not only VTC. 3.) Trolls are spreading FUD cuz they bought at 50+ out of greed and now cry after mommy to change a promising LTC challenger into a pump and dump DRK wannabe cuz they don't like its current price. 4.) Investor flee because of future uncertainty about VTC.

How can you explain to a miner that he should use his energy on a coin that doesn't make him break even?

What are they supposed to do? Magically make vert 10x more profitable to mine than all other coins?

How can you explain to a miner that he should use his energy on a coin that doesn't make him break even? Mining LTC was unprofitable too last year before bubble. Then LTC went from 1.6$ to 38$. If mining and holding to sell at top it will be profitable. Selling directly for $ to break even is retarded. Of course to dump for btc and buy cheaper is the most profitable, unless the up-trend is missed, hence it is the most risky too.

my vtc stash few weeks ago worth 1 btc now just half of it... and vtc still the most profitable for dump-dump scenario... grrrrr "POW-pos style" now....

poor you. We shouldn't change the coin and ruin its future to appease short-sighted dumpers (or wanna be dumpers). You can't change coin fundamentals (i.e. block reward) and expect people to take you seriously. Why would they? Why wouldn't everyone just assume block reward will be changed again in the near future?

i too don't thing that block reward should be messed with , people will stop dumping when it's no longer on the top of coinwarz profitability list ...

i am not a miner, please be clement In the end i think only buy pressure and adoption will save VTC... But right now we have to make VTC more interesting for the miners i guess... If it is one of the most profitable coins to mine, i don't understand the complainants and the wish changing it to X11 or whatever? What is the deal with blake btw? Any chance this might be a solution? And finally... Do you really think ASICs are as bad as we assumed them to be in the past few months? I am mean it has some kind of conspiracy pattern... Asics are the next step in crypto i guess. The only problem i see in asics is that early adopters mine the hell out of a coin before the masses can get their hands on...

asics are the worst thing in cryptos , it makes the manufacturers of those evil things control everything look at ltc and how the manufacturers are dumping instamined loads of them so cheap the price is down to 8.8$ because of asic manufacturers being greedy also it makes the coin controlled by the manufacturers and drive all the early adopters out how is that fair , please don't suggest anything regarding asic because it's the only thing that this coin was founded on if this is taken away then vtc will have zero difference compared to ltc litterly zero why would anyone use vtc over ltc then ...
also once the masses get their hands on them asics manufacturers are already mining with their "next" gen asics making it so hard to mine and nobody will ever ROI it's pointless ... miners will be on an arms race forever which will end with a single or a couple of big time asic manufacturers taking complete control of the network and here goes any chance of decentralization ...
