Each player joins either the Terrorist or DigiByte team and attempts to complete objectives or eliminate the enemy team. The game operates in short rounds that end when all players on one side are dead or a team's objective is completed.

Community is advised to get in some practice playing for possible future revenue stream. Wink

Can we replace the word money with DigiByte in this explanation of the game?

"Players purchase weapons and equipment at the beginning of every round with money awarded based on their performance. Completing objectives or killing enemies earns the player money while negative actions, like killing a teammate or hostage, takes money away from the player. In addition, when a round ends all players receive some amount of money, with players on the winning team receiving substantially more."

Dear Mr Branson,
Those naughty boys have only gone and stiffed you. An unfortunate accident, I’m afraid.
Not to worry, you can all sort it out quite easily by exchanging the moody stuff for DigiByte but hurry or you will be left holding the bags!
Yours sincerely

So who was the lucky person to beat me to the lovely 2.8BTC worth of DGB sat at 33 sats

I was just transferring BTC across to Polo & then it was gone.....sick as a parrot  Cry

2016-01-17 17:08:30   Buy   0.00000033   8177964.75545956   2.69872836

There is .7 btc for you at 33 on bittrex, don't be shy. I am filling my bags with purchases in the 20s to sell at 100s again. *5 profits.

You are hilarious!

Weren't you one of those, in what almost feels like "yesterday", tearing down DGB?

I was tearing down the dev compared to the marketing. The reality is the marketing is far better then the actual dev and it's marketing that sells not good development. Digibyte has the best marketing of any crypto but even a coin like Groestl with 1/50 th of dgb marketcap has far better dev.

What a joke. Having worked with a fair amount of devs previously (including Groestl) I'm 100% behind Jared as he is by far the most involved and passionate dev I've ever had the pleasure of talking too.

Groestl do more work then digibyte but they don't have marketing, same with myraidcoin. Jared is a master marketing specialist and hires good developers which is why digibyte will be successful. The gaming wallet is the best achievement of digibyte to date but the digispeed update was a joke.
You do know the digispeed update was nothing more then changing the block times and reducing the rewards but the marketing behind it was brilliant! You want to hear the truth and I am unveiling that for you.

Please correct me if the above is false...

Sorry I asked. That was a big mistake.

Your last statement is completely false. Is that because you intentionally want to mislead, or because you just don't understand what you're talking about and you talk without thinking, saying whatever sounds good to you at the time? Of course, it could also be a bipolar condition we're dealing with . . .

My best advice to you is to keep a lid on yourself, that is unless you've got a good explanation you want to share.

Again, my apologies to everyone.

Without giving a reason?
The positives still remain and that is great marketing and the gaming wallet. Marketing is a million times more important then development.

Look at how much Groestl has released this year and end of last year. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525926.4040 , what would happen if GRS had a Jared for marketing?

A large part of those changes are upgrading the codebase to a later bitcoin version which DigiByte did long ago but yeah okay.

Coping and pasting code isn't the sign of a good coin. Wink  Digibyte has rock solid security and can never be double spent like single algorithm coins.

What a brilliant idea DGB value declining every hour...so why not...lets give more DGB away even the loser in this idea get FREE DGB

You should have to buy DGB at the start to play the bloody game, that would be a far better idea...

In an age of freemium gaming, paying before you can play would kill the game before it even started.

Their machines will mine the DigiByte when they are not playing games and they will be topped up by game sponsors when they are!
anyone would think it was pringles dgb that was being used to remunerate players.

Then where are all those wallets and other features for Digibyte?

All those "new features" your talking about are simply taken from bitcoin core. A big giveaway is "Rebranding to Groestlcoin Core. To reduce confusion between Groestlcoin-the-network and Groestlcoin-the-software we have renamed the reference client to Groestlcoin Core." which as you can see here (https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.9.0) is the exact wording of the bitcoin patch notes.

Not to dimish the achievments of the Groestlcoin team but to say that it took more "work" than the digibyte marketplace and digibyte gaming is absurd.

Rather than update the codebase to a more recent version of bitcoin (something that almost any decent coin dev could do), Jared instead  spent his time developing useful and unique services centered around the coin itself which is something very very few coins have managed to achieve. Then instead of copying and pasting features from bitcoin we went our own route and decided to preemptively solve a major issue plaguing the bitcoin community at the moment.

If you really take a look at that list of features you'll see that DigiByte has already had alot of them (coin control, OP_RETURN,  Strict DER encoding) for quite a while as DigiByte was upgraded to the 0.9x codebase 1+ years ago.

At any rate I won't argue with you any further.

Will we be able to pay in regular stores with DigiByte in the near future? And are there any plans concerning marketing DigiByte in China. Somehow I think Chinese people will love Digibyte... Smiley

Would like to hear about this too - Plans in China. Otherwise, why bother translating to Chinese right? like "极特币" for example.
Here's a tiny little something.

Excerpt from the ‘Diary of a DigiByte kid!’

Woke up this morning after a hard night’s work, for my computer that was.
Decided to give it a break and played CS-GO for a couple of hours. Turned out to be very profitable as it happens, hooked up with a solid team on-line.
Back to work, reinstated mining DigiByte on machine, then went to play football in the park with my mates.
Downloaded a book on metaphysics to read before bed.
Submitted my thesis on quantum mechanics to DiguSign.

The future is a little different!  Wink

Remember the 'future' they used to talk about, when computers were going to do the work for us?
Well it's here!

I guess they all allow buyers to take back payments they’d made after walking out of shops, by simply pressing a button (if you aren’t aware of this “feature” that’s because Bitcoin has only just changed to allow it)  Wink

And one of the reasons why Mike Hearn thinks BTC has failed (as noted in his post that you brought to our attention a couple of days ago https://medium.com/@octskyward/the-resolution-of-the-bitcoin-experiment-dabb30201f7#.38y4s5db5 )

Yes, although this is no problem for coins that manage confirmations in a sensible time frame (aka during shop check out) since taking back a payment this way only works for unconfirmed transactions. Still a stupid feature, including for Bitcoin. Even if we forget about taking back payments, what's the best case scenario for it? A transaction fee auction bidding war for confirmations? Way to go to solve the problem, really.
