Next!

Anyone who says DGB is a bad investment is a shitty investor, this will become the investment of the decade!!  To me it already is since my total per coin cost was 20 sats; anything above is gravy.
Even as a miner I bought anywhere from 4 sats all the way up to 65 sats, sometimes it's ok to buy coin to help the price go up.
If you would be smart you'd go find a shorter where you could bet against DGB's success of you want it to fail but msot people don't know what shorting is nor what binary options.
Right now of course, if you ask me, it's a shitty time to be mining DGB but I got most my coin because at some point, I made sacrifices.
Pumps can be a double edged sword... one, the crash can hurt to the unsuspecting masses but it also makes them more popular on exchanges, often getting front page mentions.
This gets more notices, more eyes on deck so to say and brings in new investors.

No guts no glory!! =D

Peace out!

PS: I still have my stash, just not in a wallet, found a way to mitigate problems Cool
PPS: Bitcoin took 4-5 years to really catch on and is still an infant... give it some time!!!  DGB is not even 3 years old yet and Gold is over 6,000 years old!  Roll Eyes

You are very right on this ! (Doesn't mean you were wrong on previous parts Cheesy)
DGB is one of the (if not the best) best investment on the altcoins market. I have to admit I've been surprised by Eth development. But it's no way matching the DGB potential.

Looking at the crypto community Dev... you can clearly see that Jared is working hard comparated to anyone else. He needs some times and probably could use a lot of support from this community.

45-60's sat range for DGB is so cheap. 25% of the coins have been released if I'm not wrong. We will never be able to buy it back at this range again in a few time.
Mining is still bringing some. Whoever is saying that mining is a bad idea can't point at everyone in same time.
However mining is fun. Even if not profitable sometimes... you get something with a potential... and this potential can easily be profitable like nothing else!

Screw the banks. Crypto FTW !  Miners and traders will have good times with DigiByte !

Stop these Hype money, get in DGB!
FrenchFrog FTW

Enough!!

I don't have much time available but I'm going to STFU a bunch, right now since I did quickly read a few pages.
Oh, hi, apparently I never say hello and just get to the yelling part but that's what I do... Smiley

That said... SNIP!

Well said. I've been with DGB since just about the beginning (ID RJF), mined more than I'll ever spend and watched this coin grow up. Through everything, good and bad, professionalism and honesty continue to lead the way. Remember one important fact, new users generally wind up here. Bitching, moaning and name calling will turn them away, it's that simple. If you want your investment to grow, act like it matters. If not, shut up let the big boys play.

So, if you don't like it, leave or, trust in the leadership and stay on board for the ride. I have a feeling you won't be disappointed in the long run.

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Thomas A. Edison

This is turning into a bit of a reunion with all these old faces turning up, shame it wasn’t for a better reason but good to see you are still looking in. HR has declared privately he is leaving the building and I think that’s best until he cools those jets of his for now. He probably won’t believe it but that doesn’t make me happy at all, the guy is certainly passionate about the things he does but it is not his ball and he does not get to decide who can play or how they play. Everyone is welcome at DigiByte, apart from obvious trolls and we do need to work together so if he does decide to come back I’m absolutely cool with that, I don’t hold grudges too well anyway. I don’t know about the other people he has privately attacked but they are all a good bunch of genuine people doing what they can when they can and I’m sure they will always do what’s best for DigiByte too. Of course you can disagree with people but if you can’t be civil about it, it’s probably not good for DigiByte, as others have mentioned lots of people do actually look at what is going on in here, newcomers and old-timers alike. So quickly moving on, any new business? Smiley

So, what is going to make DigiByte stronger?

1.   More mining loads more on all algorithms, GPUs and ASICs. Gamers and home users as well as professional crypto miners providing a stronger decentralized platform for DigiByte to make transactions. Yes we have enough to make transactions but the more we have the stronger we become. In time we will have much more, so starting now will be more fruitful than it will be when the network grows. More ASICs make our coin stronger and reduce the advantage that the ASICs have in terms of efficiency when they have to compete with each other. Much of our current network is made up by hobbyists running sometimes outdated and relatively inefficient ASIC miners. I have always referred to these people as knights because every DigiByte they take form mining denies the efficient professional miner some profit, so they really battle for it. The more of us there are taking these little hits means the pros have to bring more power to the party to overcome them and the stronger DigiByte gets. If we chose not to fight this battle, then the pros will take it all cheaply and the efficiency of next generation ASICS is vastly superior to anything currently on the market today. HR is right to have concerns here, the breakeven point of these large miners is likely to effect the dgb price so lets show them some resistance and mine a little, even if it does cost more in electricity to produce. Bolster your mining by buying some too, it may sound like it makes sense just to buy because it’s cheaper but that does nothing to strengthen your investment.

2.   More Nodes, more people running core wallets connected to the internet to confirm transactions and retain a copy of the DigiByte distributed blockchain. DigiByte is currently working on providing gamers with a full node gaming wallet and if gamers take up the challenge and run these wallets when they are available, our network will be considerably strengthened again and I’m being conservative with the word considerably here. You don’t even have to wait as you could run a core wallet now! It’s worth mentioning that these wallets do not need to contain any DigiByte, if you are concerned about having your stash online and you probably should be.

3.   Community interaction, people using DigiByte for the exchange of goods and services. The greater the demand for DigiByte, the stronger it becomes. Next to nobody knows about DigiByte right now but this is probably the best opportunity for a secure decentralised monetary system owned by the people for the people there is in the world today and it fails to launch it will be the biggest regret of your lives and right now you can get in for little more than the cost of caring and you will make that difference.

We can all do our little bit and add value to DigiByte and there is scope for contribution from the novice to the highly technical or the professional. Don’t let the leeches suck us dry!  Smiley

Although I had to sell my rigs I still have 1 graphics card left.  I've been mining on it lately trying to grab as many DGB as I can =).

Whether or not people agree on a topic or not is irrelevant.  One of the great things about DGB is that its a very professional coin, lets keep up the good work of having a very professional community!

There is always hope but that’s about all there is. I don’t know is my real answer, I only left dust there and assume it lost to the experience but it would be nice to see other people reunited with what is theirs.

HR has declared privately he is leaving the building and I think that’s best until he cools those jets of his for now.

Well, nice to see that the self-appointed DigiByte spokesman is once again at the top of his game.

Jumbley, as you correctly said (with one thing anyway), I said privately that I was completely out of the core group I was invited to join. Was it lost on you that I was specifically and privately addressing those seven members of the core group who were copied in those lengthy PM's whose intent was to do their best to answer your hostile responses?

I think that after several, time consuming responses, I summed things up quite succinctly by saying "I have nothing more to say to any of you". That was quite clearly a statement made to the recipients of those PMs. I never said I was going to renounce my right to act as a private "citizen", and I will continue to be active on BCT, here and elsewhere, and on Twitter as well, in that very same capacity of being just another community member. And while community member status obviously means that posts will be much more sporadic, that doesn't mean I won't be contributing, and much less so when it has to do with something important, and even less so when it comes to a misrepresentation of the facts. I highly encourage you to get a bit more serious with your public statements. Again, I've disassociated myself from the core group, not from anything else, and as I said in private, those being private conversations, I have no intention of taking them public, unless, that is, someone else takes something public in a misleading way that misinforms, in which case you leave me with only one option, publicly correcting the misinformation you have erroneously decided to take public. I hope that's clear once and for all. Please try to think before you so gleefully speak.

BTW, is anyone else having problems withdrawing from DigiByteTip? I've got an "Awaiting transaction response" message that is 3 days old now.

Ok guys, lets just stop arguing in public. This will only damage the credibility of this coin. Take it to PM or just suck it up. No need for this here.
Lets talk about DigiByte.

Oh, I know I'm the bad guy, but bear with me. I'd just like to officially go on the public record with a prediction I made in private.

. . . mark my words, the difference between becoming the cryptographic currency used worldwide to which it aspires, and a slow certain death, will be whether or not the proportionate payout per unit of electricity invested in variable costs is made equal among algos. It’s as simple as that: success or failure will depend on making GPU mining equally profitable with specialized ASIC mining on a per unit of electricity cost basis. It's the difference between thousands of active nodes that slowly diminish to a handful of people whose only common bond is their virtual “friendship”, and hundreds of thousands that grows to millions based on a common use of a serious and stable, extremely safe cryptographic digitalized money and means of exchange.

Just as important as previous innovations have been in getting DigiByte where it is, the complete leveling of real economically rational participatory opportunity is the cornerstone for whether DigiByte will be taken to the next level or not, and without it, a truly worldwide distributed network is impossible. Mark my words.

And, for anyone who might be wondering, that's not THE issue. It's the OTHER issue that's much much more important.
