I noticed a few people having issues with the wallet and now I am too..
8 weeks behind and yes I have tried everything but still not working..
The only thing I can think of is the mining pools jumping on dgb and the chain is freezing? (Old KGW issue)
Any help would be appreciated.

Download Digibyte chain http://cryptochainer.com/dir/2016/01/18/digibyte-blockchain-1-18-16/Instructions for using blockchains -PLEASE use ONLY wallets from original posts, or the coin’s website itself. Avoid “updates” in forum threads, as they could potentially contain malware. -Download .zip file of desired blockchain -Copy .zip file to the coin’s folder, located in /Users/USER/AppData/Roaming (Windows) or ~/Library/Application Support (OS X) -Create backup of wallet.dat (this is your actual wallet) -Delete all files & folders, except for wallet.dat. If this is a new & empty wallet, remove wallet.dat also -Unzip the .zip file directly into the folder (if using WinRAR, choose extract here) -Launch wallet application -If original wallet was moved, quit wallet application, copy wallet.dat to data folder, and launch wallet -Always make backups of your wallet.dat files, especially if they contain coins -Encrypt your wallets with a strong passphrase, and do not lose that passphrase!

Accessing the internet through proxy can cause such stalling. Are you trying to run the wallet in your workplace, or at home?

Also I suggest you make sure you are using the most up to date wallet i.e. v4.0. 3 If not this will cause issues (i.e. if your using 4.0.0, 4.0.1 you will not be able to download the chain properly).

I have been solo mining DGB in a solo-pool for a while now and it has been profitable, most likely because i have just gotten lucky but still it has been really nice. Started buying up some also now that the price went down again a bit. There are some serious players on the DGB market it seems, the volume is constantly high and in a very nice motion. A good trade and a hold any day of the week. Keep up the amazing work!

Start trading $DGB DigiByte for Chinese Yuan $RMB today @Bitebi9Exchange. Check out their new #Faucet [---link removed by me--]
Jared... you do know that Bitebi9Exchange is owned by paul vernon of cryptsy right? Its cryptsy china. I'd be distancing yourself and digibyte from a scam exchange owner under investigation at present. Directing any users towards a trade can only lead to trouble for potential digibyte investors.

Awesome! Yeah Baby, now we're cooking! blog.cryptsy.com read the additional info on his divorce with wife, run away to china with his mistress and the hidden hack of his exchange from 2014. Many lost a fair bit on cryptsy. I wouldn't be too keen to flog bitebi9.... its paul vernon owner of cryptsys china child. Investor beware.... not something digibyte should be associating with. Please research into this.

Removed it for the time being, until this is cleared up o0o0. As much as I like this idea, I would have trouble supporting it after everything that has happened to customers of cryptsy, if what you say is true!
