I'm wondering if we're seeing a perfect storm develop. Consider:

1) Lamassu integration got things rolling with a nice 20% price increase.

2) Cryptsy announced that it was hacked and about 8% of all DASH in existence had been stolen (450,000). Blockchain analysis subsequently showed that the hacker had recently just finished selling his coins. One wonders how much downward pressure this dumper put on the DASH market over the last year. One wonders what the price would have risen to if not for the constant dumping? Is this price increase partially due to a rebound to "natural" levels, now that the "unnatural" dumping has stopped?

3) BTCMiami, with both Dash'n'drink and Evan's soon-to-come demo of the Evo prototype.

of course, to have a positive side and continued to develop and increasing the potential load, all that which is not pleasing, and that the probability of the popularity of the inevitability, but also the negative aspects such as sold by hackers Dash, because when skillful manipulation to put pressure on the markets and that this scenario is not acceptable for serious cases, and that the form, under any shape, but further development is not observed and what is stated in the end might be inevitable not to run, though

6 hours 1 hour to go before the Dash presentation on the North American Bitcoin Conference in Miami ...

Here is a post i found regarding Day 1 (yesterday)

http://bitcoinist.net/the-north-american-bitcoin-conference-2016-day-1/

Quote
[10:25 AM]:

Spoke with the team at DASH. DASH is an impressive and ambitious endeavor, aimed at providing an alternative to Bitcoin with better incentive structures built in for the community.
I was told that the Bitcoin network has ~200x more processing power now than Google, and that this infrastructure should be used for incentives “other than providing transactional security,”
other than rewarding the coinbase to only miners.

As their pamphlet reads, “Dash is an open-source project that delivers safe decentralized financial solutions.” DASH provides incentive structures which reward many parties involved for the coinbase
component of a block-reward, not just the miners. We discussed how rewarding solely the miners encourages centralization of mining, and it doesn’t build in strong incentives to reward the rest
of the community.

I was told that the Bitcoin network only has 5800 full-nodes running at this point, while the DASH network has 4000 full-nodes running; through the unique incentives that Dash provides, the hope is
that it will encourage a healthier network and more full-nodes on the DASH network than on Bitcoin in the long run. Additionally, DASH had a really sweet looking soda-vending machine that can be
used for purchase with DASH (coins). Another unique feature of their network is InstantX, which provides instant transaction confirmations that supposedly confirm payments within 1-4 seconds!

i put some alinea's in there for easy reading...

[2:29 PM]:  See a model posing in a bikini next to a bitcoin vending machine.  She was out of place; a conference of nerds didn’t necessitate models.  I felt bad for her; that someone was subjecting her to do this,
at a bitcoin conference.  Then someone from the conference center yelled at her to put her dress back on.

oh oh ... well appearently at least someone got to see a girl in bikini. Still no pictures though...

Bitsquare: The ‘Missing Link’ for Decentralized Bitcoin Exchange
https://news.bitcoin.com/bitsquare-missing-link-decentralized-bitcoin-exchange

BC: You seem to be getting close to a beta launch can you tell our readers how things are going with the roadmap?
MK: We are currently in the process of testing in smaller groups. If the tests continue to run successfully, we will expand those testing sessions to a wider audience. Testing a P2P application has its own challenges. To cover a huge multitude of network environments we want to test with as many real (anonymous) users as possible to be sure the system runs stable and safe. We will announce the start of those larger sessions via our communication channels (newsletter, mailing list, blog) and in Bitcoin media outlets. Our target is to get as many users as possible to participate in these stress-tests to ensure the P2P network is stable under real life conditions. Once those tests give us sufficient confidence in stability and safety we will work towards launching the beta version.

In doing the ground work for a decentralised exchange, I did look at integration of fiat. Very quickly you hit regulatory hurdles as fiat ultimately goes via banking channels.

Yes, but a crypto only exchange is still a big feat and will go a long way in protecting people's funds while trading.  Fiat is the guv's jurisdiction.  A Crypto-fiat exchange will always be the gateway to centralization Smiley

That's the plan  Wink

LOL, you know I was just baiting for the answer, right?  LOL  It's like China is writing it's own currency's eulogy Tongue  I'm sure the USA, Euro and all others will be close behind.  It'll take a while for people to realize, and by then real crypto-currencies will be at the ready to help.

15k 5-minute volume dump.

I'm afraid I made a small contribution to that one - the charts were just too perfect and I need to pay a few bills. Only small mind  Wink

It'll come back round once it washes through. It's only the 1-hour that corrected, the 4-hour's still well positive but need to wait a few hours to see if it also gets dragged into a correction or survives the cycle intact.

That's misleading!  We only agreed to double the blocksize.  It requires a new wallet to be adopted.  Easy to code, everyone agrees, and plenty of time to implement.

I know its going back to .01. Anyone with the tiniest bit of vision shouldn't care...unless you need to pay some bills right now.
