ok working.

But I had to put in --no-adl because my 290x is water blocked.

i don't know sgminer that well, only cgminer.

is there a way to get sgminer to ignore my fanless 290x with out using --no-adl?

Same for me... Still not working... :

Update your Catalyst drivers if you have some old version.
Run sgminer with --debug and show me the console output.

Hey PHM, this was an issue with 5xxx radeon cards. I updated from cat 12.3? Whichever is the latest to the 14 beta and it started working. Thread concurrency is a big issue here, I can't set it to my usual values. If I run at 3200, it runs -- if i set thread concurrency to 4000 it outputs that same kernel error.

Its running though Smiley

I'm glad the miner works for you, hopefully I'll get paid for the bounty soon. For everyone playing with command line options here are the settings I use for R9 290: -I 18 -g 4 -w 128. I have not tested it on NVidia yet, will do that today, but do not expect wonders. If there are any serious bugs you can report them on eduffield's github.

Expressions of gratitude for the miner shall go this way: XjzvkWNMu5MNk1gNVykJ6CK1u3pAm47oha

I heard there was at least another 500DRK added. That's what someone posted.

I will say so far it is looking pretty good!

Lebubar if I remember right you have a 5xxx series radeon. This fixed it for me:

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd_catalyst_14.1_betav1.6.exe ---- Beta drivers from AMD cat 14.1

And for your bat file

sgminer --kernel darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://pool.darkcoin.io:3333 -u username  -p password  -I 16 -g 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 3200

Try this, especially the thread concurrency as that makes or breaks it for me.

EDIT: Set this up on a second PC in the house running crossfire 5770, same settings. Pulling 600 Kh/s per gpu.. Fantastic!

I'm not selfish!

Well, maybe I am. just a little bit,  Cheesy

Well, I noticed my miner wasn't doing anything, like it was stuck, so I rebooted it and now it can't read my url

That pool is taking lightyears to open for me in the browser. DDOSed? Try using another pool.

What is the point of having darkcoin on this site if it's already released? I think I'm missing something

Super secure hashing algorithm: 11 rounds of scientific hashing functions (blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo)

So this became pointless against scrypt.

But once scrypt has an ASIC, this'll be of some use for some time cause this'll too have an ASIC later on.

phm's GPU miner compiled for Windows.

Speed seems identical to linux using 13.11 driver.

Edit: Added zlib1.dll to the zip.
Added example batch and config files.

Can someone upload the windows version again please? This link isn't working anymore  Sad

http://darkcoin.io/downloads/darkcoin-sgminer-windows.zip

"CPU only" should be taken out of the specifications on the main page, maybe replace it with ASIC Resistant.

And that confirms what I just said above.

If you really want to see GPU resistant, see XPM and QRK algo, cause they require decision making so a practical GPU miner is not possible.

ASIC is always possible unless the algo is an x86 instruction set.

I just sent you a payment for 3404.99, thanks!

I'm not really against ASICs in the long run, I'm just hoping it takes at least five years for Darkcoin. They'll have to implement the 11 algorithms, which according to my understanding of electrical engineering (minimal), would be really difficult.
