so, lots of stuff is happening, release of RC2 and not only do prices fall, but nobody is talking on the forums.  So then I realized, it's the end of the school year, and I'm wondering if most of the people here are in college and doing finals?  I spent the day helping my nephew with his final project (along with a bunch of other people, LOL, had fun) anyway, is that why everything is so weird here?

Also:
I'm still having issues starting my masternode with my balance in another wallet. I opened port 9999 to my computer, then I started darkcoind via ./darkcoind -masternodeaddr="server's ip address" then I unlocked my wallet for 300 seconds, and tried to start my masternode on my server via darkcoind masternode start "mypassphrase" and I get "not capable masternode" I even opened my server up to the whole internet, and it didn't help. Is this working for anyone else? Have I forgotten a step? Do I need to do anything from the server's end to reach the wallet with the coins?

Should be address 0, in my local wallet.  Not in my server wallet.  I'm trying to keep the coins in my local wallet and hook it up to my server wallet to run.  It's supposed to work according to several people who've posted this past week.

Well, I was wrong, the address I had, I took from the QT wallet, with the first receiving address that came up.  Apparently that is not address 0.  I have sent my address 0 the coins, but it's too late to keep playing tonight, tomorrow is nephew's presentation

So Thank you very much for helping me.  Hopefully tomorrow night I can get my masternode back up and running again

looking at reviews a lot of people have problems on DRKpool.com, if you already checked the spam folder you should try with a different email address for registering

fuck the same problem! for each nick i set a new e-mail-address - the side said it's o.k. so far and published, that i should confirm through what is sent to my e-mail-address

Mining Pool Hub didn't have such account problems ever since.

Either CPU botnets or large data centers. I saw them once hitting 8.6 GHs of the network.

You'd need 500 R9 280x to mine @ 1 GH/s, or ~25000 average botnet CPUs.
FPGAs (or even ASICs) are already here.

500 GPUs I don't think anyone has that much, at least I never heared about something like this.

I know of a GPU farm that pulls ~1GHs scrypt (~3 GHs x11 but he doesn't mine X11).

Btw, the above numbers of 500 x 280, can actually be heavily reduced with 290x (only 350 x 290x)

it is possible that not every user stores the whole blockchain. All they need is a "snapshot" (e.g. "one week ago") they trust.
So it is up to you if you trust the snapshot-maker enough or if you want to store it yourself.

The pools on the other hand should use the whole blockchain to make "legitimate" transactions, and the masternodes as well.
