It started accumulating darkcoins a week ago and now it already has 192,000 DRK !!!
That's a whopping 4.6% of all darkcoins in circulation!!!

Wouldn't be Bter would it?

most likely Btter

Nah the deposits started 4/23.  Btter has only been trading a few days.

Is it possible that people rape X11 with their FPGAs?

That would explain the 2 guys with 1.2 and 1.8 GH/s I saw once on a DRK pool.

@Dev: are you planning to change the algo?

Either CPU botnets or large data centers. I saw them once hitting 8.6 GHs of the network.

Somebody hit my 1000@2.7 order on Cryptsy today. (I put it there after I sold during the pump.) It was already at 0.0029-ish when I noticed that.
I wonder if I should sell for 2.9 and place the 1000@2.7 back. Roll Eyes

Would it be possible for a government to compromise Darkcoin by building it's own masternodes?

Will there be a new Mac wallet available before the hard fork. What happens if I still use the current wallet after this date?

Would it be possible for a government to compromise Darkcoin by building it's own masternodes?

Yes, which is why transactions will be sent through multiple masternodes.  As long as at least ONE of the masternodes with which the transaction is routed is not compromised, anonymity is achieved. Eventually we expect that there will be 500-1000 masternodes, so a single agency would have to own 90-95% masternodes to de-anonymize a significant portion of transactions if transactions were routed through 20 nodes for example.  Even if that were the case, the number of masternodes the transaction is routed through could just be be increased to 40, 50, or more to thwart their efforts.

Plus they would need to drive the price through the ROOF to accumulate a significant portion of the masternodes.

Kills me to think i bought 20 btccs worth at 38 when i could have gotten some at 28! lol oh well.

I got some at 0.44 on c-cex many months back so cant complain :p

The price will rise again soon, whales are making sure they get as many as they can at the cheapest price.

It kills me to see others are able to capitalize on this great opportunity with 20+ BTCs while I'm stuck with my measly DRKs. Grin Oh well. At least I've managed to get enough to try my hand at a masternode this weekend.

Did several jagermeister bombs last night. Came home and decided to buy a couple of BTCs worth of DRK.

Woke up today to find out I could have got them cheaper. Bloody multipools drifting down the price.

Lesson learned - don't buy anything while pissed. But I'm sure it will happen again.
Same thing happened to me last night.  Put in order at 32 after it had been stable at 34 for days. 5 minutes later there's a big dump to 30 and then 27.  Sucks.
Hopefully none of this will matter because Dark becomes the default Jr Bitcoin currency this summer due to steady Darksend usage for the rest of the year.

I cannot wait for my funds to clear so I can get some more DRK.  I think I am going to run a masternode.  That way I have 1000 DRK tied up and won't end up panic selling or trying to take profits too early.  Not to mention, I will be part of something incredible!

I am also thinking hard about putting some of my other investments into DRK.  I know crypto is very risky but I really don't see how I could lose on it even in the next couple months.

Guys, I am getting this error when trying to start my masternode from a local machine: error: {"code":-1,"message":"masternode list|count|current> passphrase\n"}  Does anybody know what could be wrong and what should I do?
