http://sharedcoin.com/ is trustless centralized CoinJoin by Greg Maxwell.
Darksend in DarkCoin is dezentralized CoinCoin by Evan Duffield.
Is dezentralized trustless CoinJoin possible?

Ring signatures on Bytecoin and Monero?

Even though ring signatures are far more secure, far more decentralised than MasterNodes, people here don't like them because of the "bloat."

The bloat is a chain that is perhaps 2 to 3 times larger than a conventional chain.

To me, 3 times space requirements for this technology is worth it.

Anyway, I'll be quoted and dismissed for saying that here. :p

Stable version is not due until end of June / July.  This is RC2, RC3 in 3/4 weeks, probably with fixes for current issues, as well as the new features.

Sure would be nice to know for sure if buying on Cryptsy is safe right now. I'd like to buy an awful lot right now but ehhh, kinda super high risk.

Think of people actually enjoying their holiday weekend who don't even know this is happening, didn't see all the updates... They'll perform one update tomorrow and all will be well...

This is my berserker time. I don't get to do it much in this candy-ass weakling soft pussified society... I spend too much time holding back, acting like a clone of these pathetic sheep so they can't kill me with numbers. A slaughter like this is justice, revenge, and the water in which I swim... I understand it as if born to it, because I was. I revel in getting to be what I truly am... Smart people follow my lead even if they're not smart enough to understand it themselves.

I am the consequence.

I now come here only to read camosoul, first edition.

This is going to separate the men from the boys....

As a small holder I see no reason not to just hold and see this out, I like the coin, up until now everything promised has been delivered.. I also work in IT and stuff does not always go as "planned" there are often unforeseen problems that you need to go round over, or straight through...Its a shame its happened on the masternode implementation but its also a reminder, this is a frontier coin, its pushing the barriers and setting new standards and in doing that type of thing, there is always an element of risk.

In the long run this could be the best thing that could possibly happen and Evan will now take more time to bring features to the fore and realise he has a very supportive team behind him.. He will also probably learn a load more sorting this out than he has in the past few months! Cheesy

It will get better / be stronger.

If you don't withdraw coins until all the dust settles, you should be all right. Buying/selling is just a bunch of numbers in their internal database.

It's a WAY early beta RC! People seem to have forgotten this fact. Issues like this are to be expected. I'd be concerned if it DIDN'T happen... That'd be just too perfect...

I hope Evan takes a step back and doesn't let the community push him around so much...

The major impact here is that people have lost perspective. Look at that version number again. I starts with a ZERO. Then a DOT. Then a ONE ZERO... How long has BTC been around and it still starts with a ZERO...

I saw the opportunity.. I saw people treating it like it was a finished project. Lots of them. I dined well upon their foolishness.

Cryptsy is maybe on the wrong fork http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/block.dws?75127.htm (see all the cryptsy adresses) vs http://explorer.darkcoin.io/block/000000000036acf4c10e05a1983cc154dd6a3a5a343b7eb8cf3dd0c3a5956e9e

News digestion is underway.... Initial panic reaction is fading to realisation that this is in effect a bug, it is code, you can fix it.... Its just a technical setback....

Best for most to step away from keyboard for a few days and just let it sort itself out....

+101

I've seen worse, it just happens out of the public arena. The issues get fixed, projects move on.

Everyone became an expert in transaction malleability two months ago, hardly anyone remembers now.

Only in the eyes of stupid people, and I like that they avoid me.

Stupid implies lack of intelligence and willingness to understand. I understand your anger sometimes, but you insult smart and willing people as well, because your anger and arrogance fogs your mind. People willing to participate in cryptos (e.g. for libertarian motives, not greed) but lacking IT skills are not necessarily stupid. I agree there are a lot of morons posting here (I as an IT noob but investment pro tend to recognize them more when they post about speculation matters), but to me you seem to be running amok with your rage.
By the way...not everybody has the time you seem to have to spend on a "stupid" forum.

You're still trying to talk me into being a beta just because you're one of them? Really? Do you not understand the futility of your path, much less demanding that I join you upon it? Do you relly think I'll "see your reason" and give up my life of not being a sheep?

I could no more do that than for water to stop being wet. Silly beta types...

Think about it for a while. You're trying to convince water to stop being wet. What next? Tax your way to prosperity? Free health care? Vote to shut off gravity so you can flap your arms and fly away? All equally stupid endeavors destined to failure...

Let me tell you a story of success: I bought 2 r9 290x and 1 r9 280x and with these 3 video cards I have made $25,000 USD in a matter of a few months. I just sold all of my drk at .026 but im rebuying in soon.
EDIT: people I have introduced to crypto who see how successful I am always ask me when they should buy or sell. if you ask these questions you don't have the intuition for this

So some of us just have to accept lost coins...great...

Why do you give up so easily.  They will sort it all out.  It's unlikely that coins will be lost, but transactions could be screwed up.  It's not like it's the first time, this has happened before.

That's crazy to do a transaction during a hard fork.
