...

Darkcoin suffers from a bad methodology to achieve anonymity and it's put everything into this one basket.

Sorry to hear you lost faith in the project. Also, sorry you're going to be getting out at a horrible time (right before I announce I have EVERYTHING figured out to make Darkcoin mainstream?).

Over the past couple of days, I've made huge leaps in the Darksend technology. In fact, RC4 will be the final solution to Darkcoin's anonymity. The client will automatically look at all of your funds and it will be able to tell which funds are not anonymized, if it finds non-anonymous outputs it will run them through a darksend with other clients. After that process, users can send without Darksend using the anonymous outputs for instant transactions without waiting for other nodes (with no upper limit on transaction sizes).

The other thing you're missing is that there is a reason I forked Bitcoin. Adoption for Darkcoin will be MUCH faster and easier for vendors, because all of the APIs are the same.

Expect more news in a few days. I have lots of work to do, but soon we can start testing all of this new functionality.

+101

bump

Was just thinking about how hard this market consolidation phase is - thanks for the bump :-)

A lot of the alts are going through the same thing, a lot of really red days lately.

And ofc the new alts that hit the exchanges everyday that soar, only to crash back down.

DRK is one of the ones moving the technology in right direction. Brilliant concept.

Earn your own DRK coins by mining at the multipool. Not only that, you can earn DRK using your old ASIC hardware on SHA256 and SCRYPT coins!

DarkCoin by xpool - DRK Multipool

PROP reward system
DRK Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's
DDoS Protected
High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
0% Fees while in BETA
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Currently there is no set interval as there needs to be enough found and confirmed blocks to make trading worthwhile on the exchanges. We don't want to finish a shift only to find out, the exchanges are going to eat up the payout in fees or limit the withdraw with a large minimum. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into DRK. Once enough confirmed blocked are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Trading" status while all the exchanged coins are calculated into DRK and then queued for payment. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the DRK payments are sent.

As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient DRK can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts will be set to a schedule and payouts more frequent and less worry about the exchanges. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better.
If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired DarkCoin.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Donations welcome!

20.10875654 DRK just sent out to SCRYPT miners for the recent shift

Thanks, keep up the support.

Well then, someone really didn't want those 8787 DRK anymore...

Same thing happened at the same time yesterday. Real conserted effort going on here. One or two people panicking I get, but when these red candles show up periodically for weeks -- standing out as outliers given the market volume, even after RC4 improvements have been made clear... Yeah, something's up.

Where are you seeing large trades?  I see very little volume at all, certainly no huge trades like that today???

I am a believer of DRK

I support Magi the first anti-botnet mining network to give regular miners the fair chance of mining. Talk to #Magi on IRC: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#magi or on BitcoinTalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0

Credits to vertoe, I've not been on call these last few days.

These are the major not-paying pools remaining:

- nicehash.com
- ghash.io
- x11.ltc1btc.com
- darkcoin.cryptocurrency.tw
- cryptotrain.net
- dark.v2.dedicatedpool.com

So please guys! Team work! Lets all pitch in with an email / webform / IRC / twitters / etc etc...  and please ASK them
to update! (note the green lettering, signifying calmness and happy thoughts)

IF YOU CARE ABOUT DARKCOIN... 20 minutes of your time can do a heck of a lot!

Isn't Eltito working on an official communication package for Pools to make the switch?  As a backup to all your fantastic work?

Problem is a lot of these pools are getting the messages and either overlooking them or simply not acting on them.  What GP is doing is fantastic and not something I have remotely enough time to replicate.

Check this:
https://darkcointalk.org/threads/how-to-make-a-darkcoin-paper-wallet.116/

Or just do this in the QT debug window.
Code:
walletpassphrase '[your password to your wallet]' 300
importprivkey '[your private key your trying to import]' paper true

Special Note, notice those single apostrophes? They are important. Wrap your private key your importing and your passphrase with them. The braces are not necessary.

After you run the above commands it'll look like the wallet has hanged. It hasn't. It is rescanning the blockchain for funds in your imported address.

Once the debug window returns the cursor to you, exit the wallet and reload.

Special Special Note: Backup your wallet before attempting to import a new key!

Mind tweeting Jeffrey Smith @jeff_smith01 @ghash_io ? Jeff is the CIO of GHash and I bet he will respond fast and make things happen given the heat GHash has been under these days.

Also El Presidente is why these pools got IDed. So major props to him along with GP and other cops.

Was hoping for a more polite and formal/official tweet from Eltito as he has access to the official twitter account.

Thanks for the enthusiasm but it looks very "deliberate".
