Wouldn't the correct approach be finding out what this is being caused by? Not just make a workaround and hope that this can't be exploited into something bad?

Hi LaudaM...I think what irks people is the graphic its self and not questions about testnet.  My 10cents worth. Smiley
Well if that is the case, I've removed the graphic from the original post and tried avoiding it in every quote. I've wanted RC4 to hit before my vacation but I guess waiting a little longer is not an issue.
We're looking at an August release possibly, right?

Mr shojayxt...I'm being VERY serious...2 to 3 years...MINIMUM!!!!  And yes I'm fully expecting this to used along BTC.  I dont own 100's of thousands of dollars in dark because I'm unable to look past my nose!.  Absolutely this is long term....and certainly not about what your view is of crypto's.   What your trying to convey Mr. Shojayxt should worry any and all cryptos that have you as an investor.  You've just exposed yourself as a pump n dumper out for your own greed, which isn't a bad thing Mr. Shojayxt if you honest with people.  Using your thought process...all alt coins have no future other then as medium to create quick wealth or financial ruin.  Brutal!

on a sidenote : looks like Europe is getting some bitcoin exchange lovee .. which in the end could be good news to Darkcoin as well,
with its plans to go mainstream.

That is great news...Bitcoin is for better or worse the gold standard.  Its adoption helps all cryptos

First of all, I welcome any dissenting views to the following, which will understandably be labelled as FUD.

Although I am an admirer of this coin and the ingenuity of its developers, I am extremely confident that DarkCoin's market cap is on the verge of declining precipitously (without hope of recovery). The primary reason is that anonymity as the coin's central feature ceases to be of value in the context of emerging applications that promise to make BTC itself completely anonymous (DarkWallet, etc.). Unless you can afford to lose your entire investment, I would sell now. My own view is that the most promising potential future altcoin will be one that addresses Bitcoin's shortcomings with regard to confirmation speed, etc.; important for merchant adoption and online gambling.

Sell now, save yourself a fortune and then a month or 2 from now, feel free to tip me a small fraction of the money you didn't lose (in BTC here:

Yep most definitely not July and I don't see it taking another month so that puts it somewhere in August most likely.

I certainly am not Nr.1 , I have several friends in Penticton, where we live, that own far more drk then I do...they were huge HUGE players in BTC...some of the original BTC millionaires.  They saw huge potential for this coin, we've had many meetings and round tables on what and how Darkcoin could potentially go...their  using the same strategy they used with BTC...buy and hold long term.  I'm very VERY small fry in this group...and I'm humbled by their knowledge of this ecosystem.  In fact I owe it to them for getting me involved.

I am definitely in this for the money I'll admit that.  There was a time when I thought DRK was the next big thing but those days are gone.  I've seen too much bullshit and stalling from this coin and just about every other one out there.  They are nothing more than investment vehicles.  If you're comfortable with your 2-3 year timeline that's your choice.  But I can guarantee that time;line isn't shared by a large percentage of DRK holders that bought in under the premise that this coin was going to do this that and another thing.  Now it's just one stall tactic after another.  The price is reflective of investor sentiment.

A couple weeks ago all the talk was about how more masternodes = higher coin price.  That is another thing that hasn't materialized.  Investors will decide the fate of this coin.  Not the fanboys in this thread.  I'm an investor and I got out way before the price got this low.  From the look of things many pother investors are following suit.

I keep telling these guy to add DRK
Only BTC and LTC right now

Their response has been less then impressive

maybe that will all change once DarkSend+ has been put opensource and Darkcoin itself gained some marketshare.

If any such things existed and could indeed provide what they advertise, I'd agree. But they don't and can't. So I don't agree.

BitCoin's Blockchain is transparent, and there is nothing that will change that. Mixers have been around for ages. I use bitcoinfog myself.

Attention Masternode Owners / Investors!

Real life makes me be relatively offline these days (good because of work, bad because its such a critical time to be semi-offline)

I will be CLOSING my Masternode setup services right when  RC4 rolls out, for about 2, possibly 3 weeks. Why?

 a) I want to cater to all my MN clients, 100% for free!! Meaning, updating all of them to RC4 as quick as possible, to get the Masternode network up and running as smoothly as possible!! So, I will not be taking on new MN setups when we fork.

 b) As soon as that is done, I going on holidays, for the said 2, maybe 3 weeks. Hopefully, by the time I get back, the price to acquire 1000 DRKs will be prohibitive  Grin

So... if you're thinking of setting up a node using my services, do it now! Or hold the DRKs until I get back. Your choice.
Currently, I am free Thursday and Friday morning only, (GMT+1), the weekend, and relatively free next week.

This is basically as last call for action... Being that many are waiting for the end of the month to take advantage of these ridiculous prices to get the 1k, I will accept time-slot reservations!!

Pm me if interested, or refer to this thread for further details.

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/yidakees-helpdesk-masternode-setup-services-ghostplayer-on-bitcointalk.1633/

Thank you!

Saturday 1pm (GMT+1) I am booked for a few hours... slots free the rest of the weekend so far...

Weekend is officially booked, and I'm unavailable Monday !!  Free again starting Tuesday!!  Dont miss out on this great chance!

Fully booked until Thursday after lunch (GMT+1)

OK, I will pose a very simple question. How does DRK stay relevant or gain traction in the event that Bitcoin's relative lack of anonymity has been solved by apps like DarkWallet?
