Litecoin today. LTC is getting dumped really hard by Asics . Multipools dump constantly small amounts so that's not it. This dump was prepared by chinese investors, happened in the middle of the night in China to catch people offguard. Coordinated with bitcoin dump. LTC has been missing BTC rallies lately and price falls with fall in BTC price , whatsoever , if it drops to less than $2, I will grab a few

It's useless and therefore fundamentally worthless compared to DRK.

Darkcoin holders should not be so happy about all this dumping going on. Guess who's next? Now there are two most possible scenarios: 1. RC4 comes out. Little pump to celebrate but very short, maybe 1 day long. When people start to realize that price reached it's high (pumping time has ended) they will start dropping one by one. 2. RC4 comes out. No reaction or very weak. Not even .001 crossed. First big dump triggers panic dumping. No matter what it's gonna get ugly. .009 support was already decimated, at .008 all I see is some bottom catchers. Remember that there are still some people at nice profits, darkcoin was around .0075 few days ago. They will be the first to evacuate. So who disagrees?

I´m in this market out of technical interest, not to make money so I´ll be holding (since most of my holdings are in a masternode anyway). But I don´t see RC4 causing much more than a 20 to 30% revaluation however good it is. I think that´s bad for alts but good for bitcoin. This interview with Adam Black made me think a lot about an alt potentially approaching Bitcoin´s valuation. Listen to him talking about it from 1:20:45 onwards. MUST LISTEN STUFF http://letstalkbitcoin.com/e77-the-adam-back-interview/

DRK is all about the long hold -- once the tech is solid and it starts to solidify itself as THE anonymous coin then the price will naturally rise. Short term pumps based around events no matter the % increase are not really that important.

MUST LISTEN STUFF http://letstalkbitcoin.com/e77-the-adam-back-interview/I actually disagree with his dislike of alts. They don't detract from Bitcoins "rarity" as they are traded primarily for - Bitcoin. While clearly a genius, to me he isn't seeing the forest for the trees.

While clearly a genius, to me he isn't seeing the forest for the trees. Thats a refreshing comment. You might be right - the world currently supports multiple fiat currencies without one undermining the other. I think that what he´s maybe missing is the extent to which one currency can be considered a "reserve" over all the others while still not necessarily being the most highly valued. In other words, all the alts are currently priced in BTC which means that by growing our holdings in ALT we are basically just growing our BTC implicitly. I don´t think you can necessarily predict these things - just have to let it all play out.

When LTC fails there is going to be a fairly large domino effect on the market... As both BTC and LTC are currently falling, most altcoins will likely follow the same path for now unfortunately. The ones with real utility will rebound. If we're all lucky, the useless scams will die.

There will be a reckoning past the demented pump every coin stage where I believe btc will be invested more wisely (I may be being hopeful.) The alt market is a testing ground of new ideas (what do people actually want to use BTC technology for?) as well as providing a volatile playground for traders. In effect it provides a market to establish worth of a set of characteristics (technical, social, transactional, etc.) priced in BTC. It also gives people who believe in BTC something to do with them while BTC finds its stable price point/growth rate. Those with good fundamentals and actual utility will survive and thrive (I believe DRK to be one of these.) RC4 means utility is realised. I believe we'll see a bump in price and beyond that adoption will be the catalyst for further growth. And anonymity without limits is a huge advantage in our favour.

why did no one just block any multi and farms and chinnese ips ion the source ?
even if they remove , they will just get rejected blocks...
china is the evil of the 21'st century, the world gave them too much power manufacturing 99.99999999% of the planets hardware....
this crypto thing is hardware based... now does it surprise anyone that china will be the one controlling all currencies ?
