Disappointing coming from Yashu Gola who normally writes pretty fair and informed articles on Darkcoin.

Is he for real? I have been testing rc4 for over a week.
Every update Evan has submitted improved the testnet.
The latest release is the smoothest by far! Darksend+ is working and soon to be released.

I have been watching the testing closely and what has amazed me the most about this project is the complete and utter transparency in which the developers are conducting their business.  Nothing to hide, here it is, the real work as it happens.

Getting to an end goal is important, how you get there is just as important, it's the way in which this project is run which adds just as much value to the coin as the features themselves.

It's a double whammy of goodness.  

I absolutely agree with you. I tested RC4 for two weeks and confirm, that this team is responsible as much as possible.

But the thing is, if DOS dev is seriously willing to escrow a couple BTC's and actually guarantee 5 times return from here in DOScoin in less than a week then yes I will absolutely take that trade seeing as RC4 release more-than likely will not quintuple DRK's price.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee in the world of investing. The only guarantee you'll get is empty promises from the dev, I can name so many of them and you know what coins I'm talking about. To say that you will sell DRK for another coin that is barely a week old is not very responsible. You are doing nothing but pump and dump the coin.

DRK's dev team is awesome and has the right priorities set.  There will be a upward surge in the DRK price sometime soon.  People are catching on while all the fake anon coins are fading away.

We've had tools in here who have admitted to being paid to pack FUDge, so someone obviously is willing to spend (probably peanuts, but still) money on such things.

 I have a couple more updates to do for anonymity, which will be v18. Then we'll test for bugs for a few days and release RC4.

 - I've switched up the way the masternode network works.
 1.) Users now will join a random masternode (1 of the entire list, just completely randomly)
 2.) Upon joining if it's the first user, the masternode will propagate a message stating it's taking partisipants for a merge
 3.) Another user will check that queue, if it's got a recent node, it will try that node first, otherwise it will go to 1.)

 - Darksend limited to 5000DRK per wallet.dat. Client will warn about this the first time it's opened, then disable darksend from then on.
 - Fixed some bugs with connecting to the correct masternodes
 - Send was sending way too many coins for all modes, (I sent 100DRK anon and it sent 2000DRK, then sent me change for the rest causing a whole reprocess of everything in the wallet)
 - Client now updates Anonymized balance when you send money out
