Maybe it's stupid question but.. why some blocks still have "tx_0_vout_1" instead of mn payment? This one for ex.: http://explorer.darkcoin.io/block/000000000018e7b526906ff3ec8780ffc9875d1ec3b27f7a3ba2481719877968. I thought such blocks must be completely invalid after previous enforcement. Surely we have more than 51% on RC5 or higher.

Evan has turned off the enforcement for the time being while the pools update to get ready for the MN rate increase. It will be turned back on shortly, or when 90%+ have updated.

something weird is going on with my masternode payments - I've only had one actual payment since updating to Onyx, but chaeplin's site shows 3 other payments where I was the 'expected payee' but 'masternode payee' says a different address, like so:

10/21 05:58:36   156139 [1][2][3]   darkcointalkorg   innmlist: XvH3qoo6F8c9yLCunVaAFt1rY7xj8ngXji
10/20 17:18:59   155846 [1][2][3]   miningpoolhub   innmlist: XjsADiWCCbtNzjKkDN3QSkcsYCZKQ9m3b4
10/19 17:08:04   155293 [1][2][3]   trademybitcom   not_detected: Xh2z4esuArr7Q82Pnw1SuKB32QB5TRrhrz

any ideas?

The network is transitioning right now between the last version 10.14, and ONYX. Some pools are on 10.14, and they will only pay MNs that are on 10.14. If they try to pay an ONYX MN, it will be rejected and a random 10.14 MN will receive the payment. This also works the other way. What you are seeing is the network sorting out these incompatibilities.

OK fair enough, makes sense.

Still sucks that by updating promptly I have missed out on 75% of my expected payments Smiley

Camo, it's not so hard. I've never used Linux before. I didn't understand even commands Wink but I have succeed to start my MNs with a WeirdDog's guide and WinSCP
https://darkcointalk.org/threads/complete-masternode-guide-windows-local-linux-remote-vultr.1367/
I might give this one a try tomorrow. I wish I could find one that just gets to the point and explains it... Tante's has been the most useful, so far, but I'm just going to have to set aside all other projects and sift them for the facts and remove all the jibber jabber. So much blah blah blah, zero explanation, occasional blind "copy this command" with nothing at all about why or what it does... I get the feeling the people writing the guides don't understand it themselves, which is why there is no explanation. No hostility intended, I do feel it's irresponsible to run a web-connected server having no clue how it works... But greed drives people to copy/paste and really all I'm seeing is a very, very verbose copy/paste outline... I don't do that. I understand, then I don't need to know any "steps" at all. I just do it because it makes sense.

One thing that I seem to be learning... It doesn't matter if the "masternode genkey" is run from the local or the remote, so long as the same key is in both .conf files... flare says do it remote, tante says do it local... I still haven't figured out what tao says, it's like his guide is written in Japanese, I almost never have any idea what he's talking about...

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I love you, too Camo!

I think I might have the solution, although it may not be something you're willing to do?  Did you say you don't drink?  LOL, I think 3 pints of beer will make it so that you can tackle this!  It's still October for a few more days, if you need an excuse  Grin Cheesy Tongue Kiss

How are we looking?

Well there have been complaints that setting up and administering Masternodes has become just too easy, so after much deep thought I have decided to fork Darkcoin. My new coin will be called Nurse!Nurse! and will maintain the Masternode architecture, but creating one will involve putting a super hot redhead on a plane to me and having her 'medicate' me thoroughly, after which I will send you instructions in obfuscated machine code. For machines which no longer or do not yet exist, obviously. Since I am getting on a bit, even with my special pills I can only receive redhead administered medication once a day, so it will take nearly three years for the network to achieve 3000 Masternodes, even assuming a unique super hot redhead can be 'mined' for me each day. (I am doing away with GPU mining, we're switching to hot redheads on exercise bicycles, treadmills and shiny chrome poles)

Other people have complained that setting up and administering a Masternode is just too damn hard, for these folk I recommend Dogecoin.

So I think we're looking great, all things considered.

As one partnered to a redhead I can concur with their virtues.

That sounds like a noble and fulfilling pursuit.

First one means no payment, second means payment went to a different masternode since the pool didn't detect and select your masternode which was expected but rather a different one (can happen when an RC5 pool finds a block and uses an RC5 masternode list vs the Onyx list).
