Why the price is falling is still a mystery to me, though...

People are broke.

People are having to sell more Crypto than they'd like because of deflated prices.  Nothing more complex than that to assess the existing landscape...

It's a consolidation, it will pass, there were so many people mining and such little consumption of Crypto this re-balancing always had to happen.

Sometime in the near future again the light will go green again and we can all take a look around to understand our True Position a little better...

And No I'm not agreeing with thelonecrouton cause he's a fellow Ginger  Wink

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Why the price is falling is still a mystery to me, though...

People are broke.

There are only 35,998 people holding Darkcoin at the moment, out of which top thousand own 68.49% of all outstanding coins.

This hardly represents a majority to which "broke" should easily apply. For these Top 1000 holders, an average holding is 3,291 DRK i.e. $5,594.70 in average, per today's price. In this fucked up, pillaged economy, a normal, "broke" person does not have $5.5K to plunge into such an innovative, high-risk investment.

And, these people were buying as the coin's price was sinking...

Noone forces you. It's like saying that normal person does not have $$ to buy 1kg of gold at current price. And the 'normal' person will then come again when the price is up 2 times, and troll again the same 'it's too expensive' talk.

You either do something, or don't. But don't whine and look for excuses all the time.

With whom you're talking - all these quotes confuse me  Smiley

If you're talking to me, I have no clue what you're talking about. I said I purchased more and was making a case the people are buying. I bought today. If you were not talking to me, even better Smiley

Just finished a bottle of whiskey. Don't give a fuck anymore. At least I'm drunk now. I'll drink one for everyone who's lost money, this sucks there's no other way to sugar coat it. People are fleeing to cash, idk what the fuck is going on I give up. Good luck out there.

I said to me after the next masternode payment enforcement fail im out. Here we are again. What to do now? Waiting since june. I mean if you fail that often you can destory any coin even bitcoin. What a sad day  Sad. There are sometimes 3 releases on a day. This cant be the future. Do we need a better sandbox?

So stick to your guns and get out? What are you hoping to accomplish here? We don't need a better sandbox, we need unemotional, long-viewed investors. Not emotional, whiny, short-term speculators.

Even in the official channel we have long-term investors talking about waiting on buying till price retreats to .003... if that's the case and everyone is waiting for cheaper and cheaper, how do you actually expect price to move up? You can say adoption till you are blue in the face but merchants certainly want to see some stability in price, not further downside pressure. I brought this up in the channel but it begs the question, where do these investors see DRK positioned? If you are one to view it as somewhere in the neighborhood of $500M to $1B in market cap (not tomorrow by any means), then the difference between buying at market around .005 and waiting to .003 is about 70c USD. Seriously, are you that fucking cheap you can't actually support the price here? I mean no disrespect to anyone involved in this mentality but lets be realistic here, you aren't helping.

Its technology. Did i say anywhere something about the price? Now it gets really interesting. You dont care about the product... You just care about the money you get.  Cool

Not with a masternode, 5$ per month, that's all

DΛSH is digital cash. Transactions are obscured in the blockchain, making them private from the wallet. You can send Dash to family or friends, or pay for goods or services, anywhere in the world. Total bloodbath in crypto.  Double digit percentage drops as people sell altcoins and cash out bitcoin to fiat.

If you're sitting on cash you're in a good position.

If you're heavy in coins not so much.

Many are selling coins to pay their electric bills.

I think miners, traders, «old darkcoin is» who selling DRK are not a problem - it is normal.
The problem is lack of new buyers - new Darkcoin believers with money - so low demand will dump the price. Sad
The same story with Bitcoin - but Bitcoin IMO already can’t die from low prices - but Darkcoin can Sad - so it is very dangerous to sink below some «psychological price level» (point of no return) - will be just a small chance to survive for the coin no matter whether coin is good or not "technologically".

EASY.

./darkcoind stop
rm .darkcoin/peers.dat
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/darkcoinproject/darkcoin-binaries/master/darkcoin-0.10.15.17-linux.tar.gz
tar zxvf darkcoin-0.10.15.17-linux.tar.gz
mv darkcoin-0.10.15.17-linux/bin/64/darkcoind .
chmod +x ./darkcoind
./darkcoind

Man, I don't like your username.

On another note, The DarkcoinTalk Mining Pool has been updated to the latest version.
Why the hell you want to download all the blockchain again?
Just remove "rm .darkcoin/peers.dat" and you'll update you MN in less than 5 sec.

Edit : and don't need to chmod+x, it come with x when you detar it (-rwxr-xr-x)...

And why why why all of you want to put executable for all user. I know it's really not important if someone else can run the daemon but just to have good habbit..
I always saw this (chmod +x ) just put
chmod u+x darkcoin
(permission of execution only for the user)

Perfect : all my MN updated ! Really smooth, no need to start anyone of them from local wallet..

I think the number of MN will increase not for the 25% reward, but with this faking low price. I'll surely put one or two more this week =)
