I was about 0.30 btc then slowly disappeared, because the share rewards are low, I thought I was being paid in the block after, but no, I see 0.00, why?
The "0.30" you got at first is an estimate of your rewarded shares. If you stop mining before the block is found, others still keep mining, and the total number of shares for the block grows without your contribution growing as well. Hence, your share of the block reward is getting lower as time goes. The longer it takes to mine the block, the less significant your contribution is going to be compared to the rest of the pool. thank you for the information, i understand, however i paid the hashpower on nicehash so this money i can see in the next block?? lost? i'm sorry to tell you but you lost them impossible, i read that the shares are always paid (in luck block) now i see shares rewarded: 47.88% ................................... If the pool is lucky over a period of time then it will go back and pay shelved shares (which is basically just older shares). If the pool is not lucky then it won't pay older shares because it will have so many newer shares already that need to be paid. All shares are saved and have the potential to be paid eventually but it depends on how lucky or unlucky the pool is over time as to how many of those shares will actually be paid.

the theory said that you will be paid but take a look at this shitty pool statistics and see that all most all the miners are at ~92-93%...got burned myself with this.

fun fact http://imgur.com/gpR1yE3start make some chanting for eligius because the theory is saying that every time the difficulty is increasing the overall luck is +100%. why is only eligius that it has lower luck? there is a conspiracy against it

Mining is like a lottery, you never know when you are going to make the average, but eventually you do. Funny enough, people tend to stop mining at a pool when luck is low, and to stay or join a pool when the luck is good. Since long term averages are at play here, the pool hoppers ought to behave exactly in the opposite way, provided other pools pay shelved shares as well, of course.

Currently the pool hashrate is down to ~10 Ph/s from ~17 a month or two ago. Though my gut tells me that jumping in now, when luck is low, would provide a higher chance of getting 100% But gut feelings with regards to probability theory often tend to be wrong Meanwhile, the top miner is down to 85%...

It really is creepy to see how the luck is also centralizing in mining since a couple of days.

So Slush's Pool posted a news update regarding recent orphaned blocks: https://mining.bitcoin.cz/news/recent-orphaned-blocks-explanation/I'd be very interested to hear from wizkid057 or Luke-Jr on whether we are also watching our pool; what version of bitcoind Eligius is based off, and whether block submission propagation times are being monitored at all. I'm not just asking because of our terrible luck as of late, which I understand is entirely by chance, but also because having more information on the internal operation of the pool and block submission/fast block relay statistics!

The main bitcoind is running a 0.10.1-based bitcoind. (I don't know how to get info on the other bitcoinds.) Note that luck is not related to stale blocks (what slush erroneously calls orphaned/invalid).

Also, I don't know what version slush upgraded from, but there have been no noteworthy changes between 0.10.1 and 0.11.1 that would affect stale blocks (nor is it possible to affect luck).
