Would DUSK Network implement features such as enabling smart contracts same as Ethereum?

Hey, what is going on? After reaching the $1 million pledge the DUSK token sale on EthFinex has entered the first of two 48 hour contribution periods on Saturday. We are nearing the end of the first period but the raised amount has not even passed $100,000 yet.

Did people submit fake pledges or is something not going alright with EthFinex contribution process?

Probably people think there would be more hype for ethfinex but seeing pledge barely passed 1m $ they may change their mind.

Also, there are lots of variables in this. Eth price crash can be one of the reasons.

On their Telegram they said:

And a bit later:

Looks like the cause was EthFinex having some technical problems.

Even so this does not really matter for DUSK, does it? Since EthFinex already bought the tokens from DUSK.

Good points in Ivan's video about proof-of-work being a dead end, just look at the Bitcoin Cash mining hash wars going on right now, and proof-of-stake not being confidential, pointing out the necessity of an alternative consensus algorithm for the future of crypto.

That said there have been a lot of coins with made-up novelty consensus algorithms like proof-of-love, as well as permissioned, centralized ones such as proof-of-authority. It remains to be seen how effective DUSK's take on this will turn out in practice.

I agree that PoW is dead end but right now it's the most secure one regarding Bitcoin. My favourite one is DPoS but it can end up like Lisk (dlegates' cartel owning the network) or EOS (more or less same as Lisk)

actually it is not a good time for the crypto and for the ico in general the market is very unstable and tending down is difficult to do fundraising in these conditions, but if a project is as good and innovative as dusk , they(team)can do it to raise the minimum necessary to complete the project...

Iirc for now isn't planned but they said that in the near future they want to add them to the roadmap (or maybe they already added them, last time I looked at it was like one month ago)

Nobody knows when this fall will end, maybe the bottom right now. BTW miners are suffering more than others, it remains for us to observe what is happening and hopes that it will end soon, the big players will come in and market can grow with this.

Let's hope so, for the moment crypto doesn't look that good, we need some very very good news to start a new bull run.

How will you do the token swap, i mean how simple it will be? And since you have partnered with ethfinex, would it be too far fetched to think that they could do the swap by moving those tokens to bitfinex?

Token swap will be at Q2 2019 and I guess it will be so simple. There are ways to do it instead of making the complex swap procedure.

I've done several token swaps by now and they are always super simple. Just follow the instructions
