Hi, my settings are as followed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cw1QS8qcCiASorry about the quality of the vid, recorded it late at night.. So a little dark in the background and phone not the best. lol The vid is a little outdated not i am currently hashing at around 769kh/s per card max intensity 20 but i like to run them on intensity 18/19 for reliability and fans are not pulling too many watts from its source. They are using pfc power supplies and would like to upgrade later to include pfc for all my outlets to save money, there is a company that is starting to manufacture rigs with HHO this sounds interesting, may look to invest in their business if this is an option.. And the xfx 7970 is hashing around 556kh/s peak but on its own will hash 600kh/s scrypt and an extra 100kh/s sha256 With vert miner i get around 337kh/s per card for the gigabytes and 205kh/s for the xfx 7970 I use the same setting as vert and all other algorithms. No changes are made apart form Intensity settings to 13,14,14,14 runs perfect.. No crashing. No HW errors, low stales. and all running from Wifi nearly 100 mtrs from the router.

Hello! Writing this on behalf of a friend. He accidently sent GPUCoins from a pool to an adress generated by the wallet from the 2nd launch (the panda copy wallet). Obviously that wallet can't synch and the coins are now kinda gone. I'm wondering if there's any way to save the coins? Update the wallet to the real one but keep the adress? Here is the transaction: http://explorer2.sancrypto.info/tx/26d27e6807c758d97c27baed0e54a92f65f6100df76a76f603a4d29a663d2957#o0It's the 60883.09816498 GPUC transaction that is not yet redeemed. No idea if this would work but you can try importing the private keys of the old versions wallet if he still has it. Make sure and back up the good wallet first tho!! lol waltsmith

SP4RKS : We definitely have funds (both USD and GPU Coin) set aside for marketing. I think an intro video is a great idea. Obviously people have been asking to spend it on getting on exchanges. If there is any other ideas lets hear them....maybe we can start working on them next week.
DougB62 : awesome job. Post your address, I want to give you a tip!
Well, while I think that it's completely unnecessary, I will humbly accept. (As my mining equipment is sincerely lacking.) Thank you! GXMtqgG66vLZJ386Abc15pEMhnBHwDvLBS You and lunesta both had some good ideas. Just sent you both a nice tip.

This promo may be why miners are going to be gone for a week. Ghash didn't expect all the multipools to jump on their promo, so the tiered reduction was "needed" to prevent 51% attack, lol. They should have just honored their offer and not allowed new sign ups, but it seems that whales and multipools are just mining when <40GH/s and then switching back and forth for the week. I haven't mined litecoin in a long time and have nothing in my wallet, so I am going to take advantage of the 200% bonus, even if it dips to 125% every now and then.
What bonus are you referring to with litecoins.

Just a thought, but as far as I can tell, unless I've missed it, looking at the front page no jobs/bounties have been posted so far.
Wasn't part of the 75 million GPUC supposed to be for this?
I'm just thinking, it might be a good idea to post a bounty for making a marketing video or something else to attract attention to the coin.
OF COURSE!!! ELECT FINALLY SOMEONE FOR MARKETING AND MAKE A VIDEO!!
I detect a small amount of sarcasm in that reply haha I rarely look at the full first post I just presumed that the usual bounties for marketing, translation to other languages etc would be on there. No sarcasm at all. I am completely serious.

My ideas for marketing.
1. First and most important - a marketing video. Just for the amount of 2 BTC an amazing video can be created with huge influence on the reputation, price, and popularity of the coin. You can check earthcoin and mincoin for references. But it's not only when it comes to coins, in modern business you just need to have one if you want to suceed further.
2. Opening a special thread for announcing bounties to users for marketing as well:
* bounties for including a link to the thread in their siganture * bounties for translating the OP in different languages subforums
3. Doing an aggressive campaign on Litecointalk - an official thread is a MUST there. At the end, this is the smaller but official forum when it comes to mining scrypt with GPUs. Also applying point 2 steps there!
4. Changing the name of the thread! GPUC says NOTHING! This is very important point!
5. An aggressive Twitter and Facebook updates. Would be nice if the PR guy(s) get access to them from the CEO and update them as often as possible, even if there are not hot news, just to keep the interest live.
6. Something really interesting, an idea actually risen bu another guy in the community - organise a kind of loterry contest with a prize of GPU. For example, the PR guy(s) announce on Twitter, Litecointalk, Facebook, etc. all possible places, the following:
* Announcment for a contest * All guys involved must do the following: - include in their signature in both forums link the the OP thread with promotional text - create posts about settings of vertminer for different card models - create translations of the OP - make at least 150 posts in each forum (so the signature can be seen), during the next 2 weeks (this is just above 10 posts per day), however, in at least X different subforums and Ydifferent threads (to avoid concentration in just one thread ) - or make a new logo - or make iconographics, or any nice Photoshop promotional stuff (Note! When it comes to video I stil believe we need to find high professionals and pay them the 2 BTC. If you do not know some, please, refer to me, I may find some nice. Video is most important part of everrythihg!) * At the end of these 2 weeks there will be a lotterry and one of all these guys will be chosen as in the begining on a random principe to win a free GPU! Now, just think about how much marketing is all that and how much costs one GPU! I think that even 2 or 3 can be prepared to be won. At the end, these money should be taken from the 75 milions for further development. For these costs, if let's say 100 guys take part of the contest (which is really some minimum), we will get 150 x 100 = 15 tousand posts with signature linking to the OP in different threads just per forum or 30 K in total! And each of the guys will do small effeort for a real chance to get a GPU! Additionally, we will get all the Photoshop work of the contest and obtain lots of marketing materials!
7. Frequent update of the official threads on both forums.
8. Now, some very important point - exchange! As I wrote, if we do not get on an exchange with a decent liquitidty, once after the CEO dumps all the coins he recevies from the first batch order, this will kill the coin. Someone raised the idea of trying to get on BTC-e. Well, I know this is hard. However, its not impossible and it all depends on how much money they will request for that. At the end, this coin has an inovative model in it and this also changes the whole story. In my country people say: problems which can not be solved with money, can be solved with lots of money, so just ask them straight ahead, at least we need an answer to know where we are in the whole picture. Mintpal is the required next step as there liquidity is at least a bit better than nxt-e. Atomic trade I believe is annoying folks just like me which do not want to send verifiction papers. Cryptsy is the king of liquidity so far, but lately I am not sure if they are not startign to go down. They added too much crappy coins, have too much markets and bugs. Their reputation is going down and I can see that coins which get there just get dumped and killed very fast. Maybe we might consider them, however, the first choise must be btc-e, at least we need to try!
9. Maybe a new logo is also not a bad idea.
These just few of my inital ideas, please, let's someone (as far as I remmeber waltsmith was already chosen), get access to the 75M bounties and needed access to twitter, facebook, etc and start right away! If the CEO does not have the time to update them he need to hire guys as he promised and give them the power for this!

It would have been way better if they did that on mintpal instead. cryptorush isn't even a properly functioning exchange! It can't do proper price matching on the orderbook that's a basic function expected of any decent exchange.

Hey All, I'm going to work hard all weekend on the website and will hopefully provide you with an update on Sunday night on progress. In the interest of having some fun this weekend I'm going to throw a little contest. Show off your mining rig + win some coins @ http://gpucoinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2736**edit** : Just to be clear this is based off coins I mined NOT any of the funds set aside for development/marketing of the coin

It can't do proper price matching on the orderbook that's a basic function expected of any decent exchange. Unfortunately it is far more expensive to pay your way onto mintpal. Was looking and whew! Gotta throw down some serious coin to be listed there. All but impossible to get listed there with free voting. On a side note, Saturncoin was listed on cryptsy this morning and reports of the coins early demise have been greatly UNDERexaggerated. With its impending listing at the large exchange mining difficulty spiked to over 3 times what it had been in recent weeks, and is currently stuck there. Apparently there is now over 15 minutes between block generations, leaving transactions almost unable to confirm. With the networks apparent impending collapse untold KH/hours and KW/hours of electricity will have been wasted. This is not the first coin to collapse, nor, with the never ending release of new coins with no purpose or outlet for exchange of real world items, will it be the last. Glad we are mining GPUCoin and not a bunch of this other crap!! waltsmith
