Of course it's a charade to you, but an education for newbies who don't want to be scammed, as for myself, i am merely doing the opposite of those who want to sell at ridiculous high prices by offering ridiculous low price.

But the £64,000 question is why do those try and sell at ridiculous high prices knowing full well that the market price is way way way lower. All they are doing is scamming new investors and thus dragging the cryptocurrency through the mud.

You know if someone is new to crypto and doesn't wait for an exchange and instead tries trading on this thread they have no one to blame but themselves.  It's risky enough with the true scammers floating around who will take you for all you have.   But to add on top of that no real market to decide prices.  All responsibility must remain with the "victims" when it comes to crypto.  If you haven't researched and accepted the risks then you should not be here.  So why do you think that doing the same thing is going to help?  Since there is no market yet you may very well be "scamming" instead.  I have no standing by the way I don't make unsecured trades my "advice" is to hold till you have a market to test an acceptable price.(not you The One, I'm talking to the people you refer to as newb, I call em experts in training.)

As i've said i am just doing the opposite of those who sell at ridiculous high prices. Do you know what this is? Called bartering. Bartering is done under 'voluntary contract'. One starts high, another starts low.......negotiate.....meet somewhere in the 'middle'.....that's how the free market functions.

I've always traded on the exchanges and don't trust anyone on here trying to do a trade via the forum. Hence some like me felt 'duty bound' to post warnings and offers, so others can see what the value of a coin may roughly be, rather than sitting back and leaving the newbies to ''instead tries trading on this thread they have no one to blame but themselves.''

EDIT: I read a little further this time. You're totally right but if people post useful stuff bounties could be offered which may drum up as much support as a giveaway and might be a little more useful.  I think giveaways are kind of losing steam and really only serve as an opportunity for people who don't always deserve it.  Maybe a new kind of giveaway is needed like a crypto welfare fund for people who can prove a lack of resources to mine or buy but still want to get involved.  You know if they receive enough they could buy rigs with profits and become new hashers on the network, win win right!?

Tofer, good work on getting the market place setup in a clean fashion.

People speculate and buy and sell almost immediately after a coin is released.  The prices are silly on both sides, and thats fine.   Think about it, if someone is willing to buy into the coin even in the early mining stage, it means that they see some potential for profit and growth.   That is not a bad thing at all.
