Just want to say that DNotes (the dev) is actually paying for bounties, I have helped him with the Italian translation of the OP post on the Italian bitcointalk forum and translated the dnotescoin site in Italian too and received a hefty bounty!

So go ahead and get your rewards for any of the bounties currently active

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477479

 Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin

I also was kindly paid for a blog post bounty I posted on my blog bitbillions.net so am really happy with such a lovely and kind Team and they really are passionate about caring and sharing with their COIN..KUDDOS TO THE DEV TEAM @ DNOTES. Smiley

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

What's the best hardware setup for mining this? Do I need a radeon graphics card to mine enough to pay my power costs?

You can't register in some of pools, others are not working properly. Is there any pool, which is working?!

I'm still not mining. I have notes @ validation error and I suggest they do something about it now.

Mine somewhere else then. If you have confirmed DNotes there, then request a payout, the payouts are working fine.

Switched to official pool for now. How come so few mine there?

I didn't mine there very long because it just felt odd overall with the excessive amount of shares and the dashboard wasn't always updating correctly for me. Plus, they weren't really finding any blocks there at the beginning.

No need for confusing dashboards and slow payout with p2pool!
altcryptomining.com P2Pool -->> 1% fee guaranteed payout straight to your wallet

Sample configuration:
cgminer --scrypt -o p2pool.altcryptomining.com:9777 -u (your DNotes wallet address) -p (anything you like)

We did find nearly the first block - we got block 150, which according to the OP is where they mined up to. Then yeah, a little lag, but then picked back up and has been pretty consistent.

As to the "confusing? dashboard", first off the MPOS setting for system load was low, so in some cases it would not run some of the "fancy" stats updates constantly. I've increased that limit. As well, the database currently has been on the same server, so particularly at busier times of people visiting the site, the query times for all those stats updates start really lagging.

As mentioned, I'll be moving the database to it's own server this weekend, which should speed up the site considerably (I'll post a message on site before switching, though shouldn't be more than 5-10min downtime). Though again, this has only affected the site and stats loading, not the stratum server, or mining, payouts running normally.

We're at 431 confirmed blocks found, so closing in on the chance for the 75 finder's bonus. I figure then I'll let the 1000 per block run it's course first, then come up with another bonus/giveout scheme when they've dropped back down to the normal 250.

Just to avoid further misunderstanding regarding pools, please be informed that there is no official DNotes pool. We do monitor them as much as we can and try our best to be fair and supportive to all of them. They are a very important part of our ecosystem we are building. The value of DNotes is in the future. Working hard together in the most supportive, fair and constructive manner, among other vital strategic execution will give DNotes the best chance of being a more valuable currency by the week. We like to see all our stake holders (everyone who owns DNotes) do well.

I'm still not mining. I have notes @ validation error and I suggest they do something about it now.
I'm pretty sure that valid error pool is based in the US GMT -8 or -7 if I remember right.  So when they go down or any pool/site take into consideration their location and them possibly sleeping or going out.  Not all pool operations are run by a team so they can be finicky at times.  Just remember there are other pools to set as fall backs. and if you like the pool that's going through downtime hop back over when they're back up.
I don't know if some of you know this, but you can setup failover system. I'll get the exact code but it's something like     --failover-only.   If you append that after your last argument in the miner.bat then ad the pool settings after like  -o stratum+tcp://noteus.charityminingpools.com:3330 -u (username)  -p (workerpassword)   It will automatically switch to that pool when the main one you have specified has gone down.
I will try to get some desktop youtube walkthroughs going today.

Attention all supporters looking to do something more than mine!
The Dev has created a thread listing current bounties and contests here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477479  (link in OP too)
There is something for anyone to do as long as you have a brain and a computer(since we're here I'll take that as a yes!)
Good luck!

PLEASE use extreme caution when trading no matter the reputation/claims/escrow/anything really.  If you get screwed PLEASE understand the EXTREME RISKS associated. The only responsible parties are buyer and seller.  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Please use PM to facilitate trades all offers hereafter will not be added unless pm'd and post if any deleted, OK whatever I'll add em all I just wanted to keep it clean

Please do not be turned off by low buy prices.  The coin is new this is what happens to EVERY coin.  It's cheap to order a lot of coins for next to nothing on the off chance some one will actually bite. I am unbiased and will NOT remove orders based on my/your opinion only the buyer/seller can request that.   So once again don't fret with low prices it's just a trap for greenys.

I want you both to send all involved addresses to me for records in case of dispute, redundancy is key.  TXids will be provided for DNOTES on my end upon request.

Trade amounts confirmed in PM with all involved addresses from both of you.
DNOTES sent to me.
Upon confirmation of DNOTES in my wallet I will ask for BTC to be sent
Upon confirmation of received BTC I will release DNOTES to the buyer
Buyer/seller assume all responsibility as long as these requirements are met.  I assume responsibility for DNOTES only, from when they are received in my wallet to when they are sent.

* forgot to mention I am JUST a miner/supporter nothing more,  I can help with setting up miners, etc. but not with problems pertaining to pools or the actual coin itself.  My time is GMT -08:00

It seems I'm late to the party for another coin with great potential.

Hope it's not too late to benefit from early mining.
